watching Tedy Paget I would be an absolute travesty if he wasn’t also trying to do the TR of France to see if we can get that Majestic double I think the way that he’s going he will be able to I don’t I think the way that is now in training and everything and the way they probably looked at these stages planned to take GC looked at the other stages ahead the week before this relatively easy he’s only attacked twice three times in this race in total and he’s been able to take time on both of them and then he kept second on the first day apart from that attack he’s not attacked so three two successful attacks out of three for a win so he’s not done too much in really going all in yes the two time Charles is full gas but I think this next week you know it’s not going to be easy for him by any means but he’s not going to be at his limit each and every day as far what we’ve seen so far he might be might blow up spectacular than he will be but we can lose a minute each day take it towards the tour they could though couldn’t they and even he said about his time trial yesterday he said he was about 100% so not even going all in but this is what’s great now I love the fact that he’s trying to do this double because you would think if anyone can in modern cycling T pater as he is right now is the one to give it the best shot yeah exactly I mean for for a long time now last 10 years maybe 15 or 20 people started to say it’s impossible in this modern era to do the jro tour double he’s got an amazing opportunity this year and in part that’s because of the crashes that we’ve seen V Vore R there’s no broken bones but he’s crashed as well Remco a broke his collar bone I think it was so all of their preparations for the tour to France have been slightly hindered so whilst this might not be the best way to approach the Tour of France riding for the win at the dur of ital beforehand you could have that sort of Level Playing Field going in maybe bat is not quite at his best but maybe his Rivals aren’t quite at their best either so it certainly sets up a fantastic looking July well off the back of what Dan just said I think he’s in even better position than the others you know going through all those injuries and in this race T pagach is the master of his own Destiny when it comes to how much energy he’s using how much he’s hurting rather than being in a really intense battle with the likes of a RIT or a vineard for a grand tour he can do this one sometimes at some parts if he chooses in second gear and he can save energy and it let’s face it all these major Rivals none of them are sitting at home on the couch resting for the tour to France they’re all training really hard and arguably it’s harder to train really really hard than to float along in the race quite often not even hurting and choosing when you win

    1. I truly believe that at this point, the only person who can stop Pogi from doing the Giro-Tour double is Pggi himself. If he avoids a silly crash in the final week, and he doesn't spend too much energy on silly attacks in the final week, I think he has a really good shot at the double. We know Jonas won't be 100% at the Tour. Roglic might be 100% at the Tour, but I'm not sure he can beat Pogi.

If I was a betting man, I would bet on it.

    2. It's not boring when visma win everything, but when the best cyclist in the world does it then its boring, your witnessing history guys, hes a 1 in a generation sportsman

    3. If stages 13 and 14 at tour are in x hot weather then vingegaard can win tour 24

P must attack at tour from day one. Stage 1 is c hard stage. Get time on v early.

B c as the race goes on, esp if hot, v is coming

    4. I don't understand the hype, the guy that destroyed him two years in a row wasn't participating in this tournament, so why are people acting like Pogi is unbeatable? There was no doubt that he was the second best, so when the actual number 1 isn't participating, of course he will win.

People need to reign in their expectations.

    5. A side effect of being so well prepared is you over do it and one minute feels like 10 seconds and letting Nairo win, after winning everything and gaining 3min on GC feels unreasonable and crazy.

    6. Will not mean NEARLY as much without the guy who beat him the last two TDF's and I am shocked how much of this trifecta talk goes on without a single mention of Jonas. Personally, while the stages MAY have some drama without him, the overall is BORING AS HELL. Remember, he was riding away from the field in long solos with ease before the crash, just like Pog.

    7. He will certainly win the Tour de France this year if he does not crash or have some other injury or illness (COVID) between now and then–or doing the Tour. The best rider definitely does not always win these things. It's often just the best rider that can still RIDE on the last day. If Jonas had not crashed, I think it would be a super tight race between them this year. But he did. So who else can possibly beat him? Not Primoz. Not Geraint. Not Wout. Not Sepp. MAYBE Vanderpool –if he were let off the leash and supported as the team captain. He's not as good of a climber–but he's a beast everywhere else.

    8. If his chemist gets it right, he will and it looks like the chemistry is alive and well in 2024! For the delusional who think he’s clean, give your head a wobble or at least visit your local pharmacy and see what’s available over the counter.

    9. As of now i think he can beat Jonas now since i doubt Jonas health, but if i were Jonas, i will still race the TdF. Why? Dude, Jonas suits all the mountain stages aside on that Gravelish stage.

    10. its hardly surprising he did it last year too crushing everyone including vingegaard and mvdp at flandern. Vingegaard was chanceless in the mountain in PN then he hurt himself then obv everyone can battle him and a few fans run with the narrative and draw them fast to the three a injured pogacar is the measurement for them,. thats honestly just sad. When in fact when hes 100% its the most obvious thing in the world no one stand a chance. He is something entirerly different, properly at this point the goat too considering hes doing it in a different era than merckx which is 10x harder.
