Cycling to the Leeds and Liverpool Canal

hello folks me again just St on a ride again uh back on the greenway heading down towards uh Arrington today it’s a bit warm today bit humid uh forecasts Thunder later on so we’ll uh we’ll see how we get on with this ride but uh but yeah back on the trails today going to going to try and head down to uh the Le of Canal one of the uh the groups on Facebook canal and ra Old Railway Trails a chap on there told me that you can actually meet up onto the leads Liverpool Canal from uh from here so I’m going to give it a go let’s see how we got on in the highs and in the LS mountaintops and seas below I know we’ll always way home okay so we’re on the uh the T right next to the uh the railway station where we normally get on to go to headen bridge or wherever and apparently we follow this takes us to the canal let’s have a look no matter where we go at the end of every roll as the world goes by we’ll be side by side in the let the sunset glow carry us home road we wonder on play good night to Gold of Dar will see all that we could [Music] be so a little bit further along here is the uh halfway marker between lead and Liverpool so this see a really good place to get on if you you want to stop or or get off if you want to stop along the way the end of every road as the world goes by Will side by side in will let the sunset glow give me a soul it’s the uh halfway marker 63 and 58 to a mile to Liverpool or to late we’re not going all the way today every road as the world goes by will be side by side in let the sunset low car us home big dock what I don’t understand about the signs is the pointing the wrong way so it says Liverpool 65 Mi this way but it’s actually that way oh I guess the people on the boats must be standing backwards [Applause] [Music] time find away to get us and the Ribble Valley sort of behind Pendle Hill that way looking lovely still a lot of Industry around here but it’s all good so we’ve uh come from Aron that way the motorway is there so we passed under that we’re just heading along the uh leads Liverpool canal in the leads Direction but we’re going to we’re going to stop at Burnley and then head up over the hills uh back home towards rotten
