Leaving Nice and its incredible sunset beach views, the riders head out across the sunny, herb-scented fields of Provence. Continuing through ancient olive groves, the cyclists take a break in Montpellier, known for its fascinating mix of classic architecture and bold new designs.

    The route takes the riders up and over the Pyrenees Mountains and on into Spain. They spin along the country’s famous Costa Brava with its sandy beaches, rugged cliffs and delicious seafood paella, eventually arriving in the vibrant city of Barcelona.
