Historic Commercial Vehicle Society London-Brighton Run 2024.
Here are some of the vehicles driving though Brighton on the approach to Madeira Drive upon completion of the journey from Brooklands. Approximate times: 11:50 – 13:00 on Sunday 12th May. I hope you enjoy the sights & sounds of these wonderfully presented historic vehicles.
Wow what a good video. Us up north need this! – On a 'Then and now' page I'm a part of in my local town, it took us ages to locate what kind of vehicle it was at 4:42, nobody could figure it was post office telephones! beautiful van
Well done for navigating (surviving?) the M25 closure that weekend and the gridlock it caused. I suspect a lot of vehicles, and drivers : ) came close to boiling.
Excellent video David 🙂. Thoroughly excellent and fantastic videography footage showcasing the London to Brighton Historic Commercial Vehicle Run 2024 event and here is to their 2025 proceedings 😊👍👍😊. Do take care David 🙂. From your friend Foxy in Brighton, East Sussex, England, UK 🙂☺👍👍☺🙂.
I wonder if Brighton and Hove City Council will be issuing fines to all those participants who used the bus lanes (those turning right in front of the camera) instead of the main road. I hope not, it would spoil the day for those who dedicate their time and money keeping these vehicles going.
I didn't realise FL10's, Scania 1 series, Ford Cargo's and ERF EC10's counted as historic!! I've driven all of those, so what does that make me??!! Wish I'd kept my C reg DAF 2800Ati Spacecab now.

Hear that bus ticking over at 5.30 took me back. What is the 3 wheeler at 8.06? Lovely video. Thanks.
Great to see the old trucks still trucking, I wonder do they have to pay the up yours charge or not.

Great video! Love that Leyland Octopus tanker in NBC green! And a Bristol VR with bodywork that wasn't by ECW, a rare beast!
The London Mayor must have been steaming in his Temple 😂
DLK 125 C, was laid up at Bristol's Eastville depot for years and I remember it well!
Crikey, You know you’re getting old when you see trucks like you used to drive in the London to Brighton run… 😵💫
Most of the pedestrians are too engrossed in their phones to even notice, sad.
Great video.
A wonderful video David. Thank you so much
Thoroughly enjoyed that. Many thanks. 👍
Wow, I'm old. i had the pleasure of driving quite a few of those old trucks' models.😂
Gud vid
Whangarei Fruit Farms? Is that a Kiwi truck in the UK? Whangarei is in the far north of the North Island.🤷
What an amazing collection of vehicles! They looked and sounded great. Thanks for sharing.
When cabs were made by cabinet makers.🇬🇧👍
You shot my Octopus tanker well, the best video i think 👌
Lots of these trucks I remember as Matchbox-models in my childhood. 🤩 This was the time when cars had a soul!
