July 2018 a Swede convinced an Australian to try a type of adventure they had no experience in: cycle touring. Not content to begin slow and steady, Salome and Micah packed their bicycles and bags and made their way up to Tromsø in Norway – and then cycled 2500km to Smygehuk, Sweden’s southern point, via Treriksröset, the border cairn between Finland, Norway and Sweden.

  1. Funny, I'm really interested in the cycling part! In the beginning I'm struck by the Kiruna sign. I remember Kiruna from high school (jikes!, some 40 years back…) as being mentioned as one of the larger communities near the polar circle, that has stuck in my mind ever since. That places this trip into perspective, have a nice trip and thanks for sharing!

  2. Really great inspiring trip! It Would be so kind and great helpful if you could share your journey track map. So that someone could follow that route. I would very much love to see the route you guys followed!
    Again very inspiring journey.

  3. Really appreciated the first hand perspective guys, amazing video! My partner and I live near the gulf islands in British Columbia Canada. While these are fantastic islands to cycle tour, we are thinking a bit bigger, either doing Norway/ Sweden. Do you have a link or picture of your route that we could reference? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Cheers
