[Applause] [Music] good morning the day of my trip to Magadan Russia this is the bike 10 700 I’ve got soft luggage in this saddle B I’ve got exactly 12 kg my tent is also inside all the gear that I’m going to need some spare parts tools everything plus my clothes and this tank back it’s around 3 kg and inside is all of my camera gear that I’m going to need to film this journey it will be a long and interesting trip almost 30,000 km it will take about 3 months uh I hope that I’ll will be able to go and do it without any problems on the first day today I have to reach bukarest it’s around 220 30 km in in fact the whole trip I split to uh no more than 3 400 km per day I want to do it slowly with a pleasure so no rush as usual I have some doubts that will disappear in the next few hours and the doubts are is this the right moment am I taking the right decision do I have to do it now and many more but but as I said all of this will disappear after a few hours and then I will go to riding mode and everything is going to be clear and smoothed I’m not going to film much because there is nothing to film on this road to bukarest the first 100 km are Highway after that I’m going to have another 100 km just a two lane roads and uh when I cross the bridge I’m going to be in Romania already I’ll film a little bit in bukarest and probably right around uh the area of bukes tomorrow with a friend with trans Alp which will be good to see the trans trans Alp the new Trans Alp in action and yeah this is the plan for now the first 100 km are gone but also the nice weather so it start rains now I have to remove the camera have my rain gear anyway there’s nothing to film the traffic start 3 km before the Border this is for the Vette for the bridge but for motorcycl is free so I don’t need to [Music] wait welcome to Romania start rain again I crossed the border for Just 2 minutes they let me go in front of everyone because of the rain and now I’m on the way to bukarest the rain stopped and I don’t think that it’s going to rain anymore so I’m going to stop and remove this rain col now I have my second telephone Mount here but I’m going to use it only when I need a specific address to find bukarest I don’t need the GPS there are more than enough signs and basically on this uh trip I plan to travel mostly with the signs and uh paper maps you go bukes 30 km but when I enter into the town and need a specific address then I’m going to use it yeah it is what it is here know this is the Transit road that goes around bookrest and it is always like that always maybe except Sundays so it doesn’t matter what I like I have to be a little bit more aggressive otherwise I’ll wait with hours here 1 kilm more a lot of new buildings here I think this was the neighborhood I’ve been here twice to meet Arthur and uh yeah Will be nice to to see him again ah I know the place and I know that this is his car and his scooter and he also has the new transalp so yeah this is the place good so we’re going to spend the next few hours riding around bukes north of bukes really beautiful roads so it will be a long day for me but I really look forward is not an easy job to get out of bukarest but luckily we’re with motorcycles so this place is actually a decoration for a TV series last FB yeah last F yes last F it’s very popular for motorcycle gathering here has strange coration like this Romania is nice to ride and it is not only two poses that everyone knows trans fagarasan and trans Alpina even around small villages roads like this are fantastic and now we are going to the place even better this type of roads are not very popular uh through motorcycle Community everyone goes to trans Alpena Transfiguration these famous passes or go to to the main roads but this one is a brilliant brilliant thanks to my friend Arthur I’m able to see it wonderful [Music] this was nice attempt to see the the top I like these Stone Terraces and the wall and the dump good morning 7:00 and 12 minutes and I on the way to kuch naaka of course I’m going to use trans alpino at least to have some kind of beautiful views instead of going to the busy boring Romanian Road they’re not exactly boring but with all of these traffic and buses it’s not good idea to to have it now early morning traffic is madness at here the moment you can see what it is I cannot even move with a motorcycle but cars and trucks o not good at all here for about 15 km I have to make a connection with the Road this road is not bad at all but because of the traffic because of the people that cut corners and a lot of trucks it’s I’ll say a little bit not preferred like this guy see if you have the chance to ride it without traffic yes fine but it’s almost impossible finally away from the main road this is much much better big difference isn’t it full with cars and uh trucks and no one here of course depends on the direction but I love it welcome to Romania as you can see I’m on the top of trans Alpina heading north and tonight I’m going to spend it around kuch naoka tomorrow I’ll be in Hungary today after that in Slovakia Poland Lithuania lva and then go to Russia very windy as usual here but that’s that’s all right I don’t mind the last time when I was here was 2 years ago with my old ten now it’s with the new ten of course big difference but bike is just a bike the scenes are incredible anyway I’m very well as you can see cannot complain about look forward to see the rest of the trip it’s 18° here not cold but you can still see the snow bikes bikes bikes bikes a lot of bikes stop just for a minute to see The View and check the elevation ah nice from here now I’m going down Direction CW and from CW I’m going to have a very interesting roll [Music] [Applause] 1. Hi Pavlin, I'm from Cluj. I did some years ago all the passes in the Meridional Carpathians in a zig-zag pattern, and the nextyear, the same from the north down, the Oriental Carpathians. As you said, besides Tansalpina and Transfagarasan, you have on the Meridional Carpathians a very rich option by combining several different passes and routes, to reach Cluj, from Bucharest.

      My favorite is this: https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Bucharest/Predeal/R%C3%A2%C8%99nov/R%C3%A2mnicu+V%C3%A2lcea/Brezoi/Ob%C3%A2r%C5%9Fia+Lotrului/Rimetea/B%C4%83i%C8%99oara/Cluj-Napoca/@46.9006312,23.3054693,7z/data=!4m58!4m57!1m5!1m1!1s0x40b1f93abf3cad4f:0xac0632e37c9ca628!2m2!1d26.1025384!2d44.4267674!1m5!1m1!1s0x40b341c24cbeabdd:0x510ebbfd3550475b!2m2!1d25.5815062!2d45.4963952!1m5!1m1!1s0x40b345a6b7f37805:0x75bb9c935459ff9b!2m2!1d25.4540279!2d45.5746274!1m5!1m1!1s0x474d38a5241617a1:0x842353737a05a49a!2m2!1d24.3693179!2d45.0996753!1m5!1m1!1s0x474d1b69c3d05407:0x239c17560bb1512d!2m2!1d24.2473143!2d45.3370891!1m5!1m1!1s0x474db76ae8dc4009:0x95d59ef3d198885c!2m2!1d23.6318339!2d45.4360709!1m5!1m1!1s0x47494427ae685e83:0x4d162d22edbad4b8!2m2!1d23.566412!2d46.4529846!1m5!1m1!1s0x47493e2694ddb2e3:0x5a23567ef13c3018!2m2!1d23.4643756!2d46.5774994!1m5!1m1!1s0x47490c1f916c0b8b:0xbbc601c331f148b!2m2!1d23.6236353!2d46.7712101!2m1!1b1!3e0?entry=ttu

It takes longer, like 2 days, but if you are not in a hurry, you cover some of the most magnificent scenery in Romania. I love the most, the section Rucar-Bran with a small detour to Cheile Gradistei (it is like the romanian Alps) .

So thank you for this video and enjoy Romania whenever you come again here! All the best!

    2. Great video, I look forward to the next ones from your adventure. I will be happy if you share how and how long it took you to get a Russian visa and what documents are needed for you and the motorcycle? And why did it cross the northern border? Thanks in advance Pavlin

    3. i love romania, fantastic roads. this year we were on transalpina and transfagarasan just before romaniacs and southern part of transalpina was closed so we had to go around and found even better roads to ride. dont skip goulash at the top of transalpina next time :). also, this year, bears came out of the forest and stood by the transfagarasan, weird and dangerous, they were begging for food thrown by tourists, all the way from the top to the dam.

    4. Your first episode on your adventure to Magadan on the Tenere 700 is an exhilarating adventure that ignites the spirit of exploration. It's a captivating blend of excitement and education, showcasing the beauty of the journey and inspiring motorcycle enthusiasts to hit the open road. The footage and passion for riding make this series a must-watch for anyone seeking adventure and wanderlust. It's a thrilling ride from start and I'm excited to follow your progress.

    5. Great start to the long series! Romanian back roads seem like an awesome place to ride, but I would hate the heavy traffic areas! Mountain roads are almost always awesome! Cheers Pavlin!

    6. that's the beauty of biking: you can squeeze between the trucks, make a few traffic violations here and there, park almost anywhere and free, waiting reduced by more than 90% and so on. being free from many constrains the "officials" impose upon people. a car? never again. despite the rain/mud/dust/whatever.

    7. @Pavlin, we have more "trans" in Romania, trans-vâlcan, trans-rarău, you need to check lacul bolboci, scropoasa and 7 izvoare, pasul gutai… I don't think you saw everything!

    8. Thank you Pavlin, for such nice impressions from your trip to Magadan… it gives me a kick to ride more with my bike, not only the 3500 km trough the Balkans, which I did this year… but it's a beginning…

    9. Fantastic first episode! The traffic looks bad there, but I've noticed that in a lot of european cities. Look forward to the next one! Thanks very much!

    10. @Pavlin, I’m a fan of you since many years ago. Now my next bike it’s on purchase list since the old one is sold. You guessed it: Tenere 700. Wish we could meet one day!

    11. I can truly see why you have to be aggressive. You’ll have to come to the state of Connecticut in USA or Massachusetts or maybe you’ve done all of New England I’m not sure.

    12. i know it is not a topic here, but i wanna know experience from all bikers regarding health issues specific to moto-riding, such as kidney inflammation, ear inflammation/infection, bell's palsy (that i just had, possibly from draught after quad riding) or stuff like that, obviously most are connected to draught and hypothermia and all is well when one is young, but being at the wrong side of 40's made me realise that maybe all that draught is not so healthy or i am not using right gear (properly)?

    13. Aww wow… How did i miss this channel… I wondered what happend to the adventures, im an idiot.. But im glad ive found you Pavlin.. So lovely to hear the intro tune and see the beautiful scenery and great riding again …. Davey 😁😁

    14. Amazing journey! you have put a lot of time and effort into this video, I will be using this great information when I travel from Australia to here in August this year and ride around on aT7 too! can't wait and thankyou for your efforts Pavlin.
