hello welcome to another video I’m out away from home I’m in Bournemouth I’m with them wheelers wheelers at large and we’re out again good morning all right are we out again we cly [Music] are so Mike and Julie are going to show me around the Delights of Bournemouth and pool going to see the sea and so far I’m liking Bournemouth there lots of little sneaky cut throughs and the cycleways I never realized Bournemouth is as big as it is kind of feels like a city but it’s [Music] not [Music] so we’re whole 2 miles in and we’ve stopped we stopped to go and have a look at um some sort of little cycle show so we’re going to go in there and have a look see [Music] is so we’ve left the Expo managed not to spend any money which was quite good mainly because the queue was huge we didn’t buy anything did we no we didn’t buy anything we were good we were good I could have spent a lot but uh as you can see from the sea and the GU walking down with the surf boards surf up [Music] [Music] it is officially very [Music] Breezy [Music] [Music] so we’re now officially in pool then we are yep yeah the poor part of the beach the poor part pool Oh I thought he said it was the poor part there’s quite a lot of wind Surfers out there cuz it’s a pretty big swell you’re very lucky to have all this on your doorstep aren’t you yeah very much so yeah love it love it I’ve got Grandam Canal you’ve got this yeah yeah I think you might have a better deal [Music] Mike of course is modeling the ever popular Hawaiian shirt for a moment this morning I didn’t think you were putting it on well you got to keep up appearances apparently grad becoming somewhat of a necessity onos now it’s kind of your your trademark isn’t it sometimes I go um Incognito and just wear a normal top yeah sometimes if it’s dark and nobody can see me I actually wear full light I don’t believe you I don’t believe you he’s telling lies surely I didn’t hear what he said he said sometimes in the dark he wears full Lyra oh dear he’s giv all our secrets away so we just arriv at the sandbanks chain link Ferry this is a new experience so F’s coming over it’s on chains so was this a regular trip for you then on this we do use it quite a bit yeah yeah we do use it quite a bit it’s lovely over the other side so is an easy way round definitely out that horrible Road at Sanford I don’t like that road but I noticed that there is talk that there’s an Old Railway line to what used to be a Munitions Factory at where of at hton Heath so there might be a new route around the back so we don’t have to go on the main road will let you on wearing a loud shirt they probably won’t inside’s noisy when it goes outside here is not chains here it pulls us across you’re like a bit of a guide a bit like Roy only better yeah yeah think yeah yeah I Roy is more historic I don’t know much about this other than that most of the winter last year it wasn’t running at all I was it no it went for uh mechanic as you can see we’re [Music] [Music] underway [Music] it’s uh I just pointed out to Mike it’s quite a steep a steep drop down here look Mike’s also pointed out it says unstable Cliff so where are we old Harry rocks why is it called old Harry they are old Harry rocks okay why is it called old Harry I’m a local why would I know Roy would know yes Roy would know ask Roy if you I don’t know the know you don’t know the answer either no if you want to know anything you always watch Ride with Roy we know this yeah we know this yeah so we started off from kind of over yeah we did over there yeah yeah we did um we started off around the corner over there are oh okay right oh that’s so that’s pull that way and that’s Bournemouth is this what you’d call uh living on the edge definitely just uh can’t go any closer or what might happen see that down there yeah it’s cold if you had a sudden gust of wind behind it blow over what are you doing down there it all became too much for us she thought she’d have a lay down can’t you can’t lay down there we’re at the furthest [Music] point [Music] it’s raining it’s raining yeah it’s raining it’s raining R it’s always raining swanic well it has been since we’ve been here it’s uh precipitating heavily it’s very [Music] wet so we went to swanic we had coffee and something to eat in swanic got caught in the rain again got soaking wet now we’re on our way back to the chain link Berry and the good news is a tail wind oh Julius got a tail wind M’s got a Tailwind but it doesn’t really matter if they’ got one or not it Just rides off so as you can see we’re back at the ferry ready to go back towards Bournemouth and then she to no cycling on the ferry no cycling no you’ve never done that have you not even once no comment so we’re just riding now um through sandbanks Harbor and over there believe it or not it looks deep it’s only actually waste deep even though deepest is about 5T apparently it’s very popular with wind Surfers P boarders you know all that kind of jazz I’d love to go that and as you can see if you can find a spot for your van you’re right next to it so you can just drive here pick your R up pck your car up go paddle boarding wind surfing whatever it is you feel how strong that head wind is now yeah he’s bringing us back into the wind is he [Music] [Music] yeah [Music] yeah actually really nice I mean okay a hot sunny day is good too but this just looks very dramatic really good end for the ride it’s uh raining again it’s raining again yeah it is it’s raining again M yeah it’s a bit of a feature there yeah just when we got almost dry we now we’re getting wet again yeah we are yeah but still you’re okay cuz you’ve got half a mud guard I have got half a mud guard yeah isn’t an official mud guard cuz obviously it’s not November not November no a it’s in it’s in it’s in development isn’t it yeah in development obviously on the 1 of November it it becomes full production yes and obviously you haven’t got any on yours because clearly it’s not November cuz we all know November is when you put mud cards on not [Music] before [Music] we got a big wheel an observation wheel that’s is the Bournemouth observation wheel there had to be one didn’t there she actually took a detour to do that you know it was especially for the viewers wasn’t it God sake yeaw so I’ve got two yeos then yeah yeah so yea so we’ve done just under 30 mil we got very very wet very Sandy and quite cold at times in the English Riviera they promised me sunshine you know so if you’ve watched this far into the video thank you for watching us click the like button and join us for the next one thank you as always for watching this is the end of my video video too so I should see you again in a week or so’s time May again in a week or so time yeah or possibly three business years three business years sooner see you soon [Music] bye

    1. We Know the area well Paul. Parents retired there and bro in law lives local as well. Observation wheel new to me but otherwise familiar sights. Crossed on the ferry a few times ! Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

    2. Thank you for taking us along on your ride, Paul. You got to do one of the top things on my cycling bucket list: riding the Bournemouth area with the Wheelers. I've also been able to do some before winter riding. The weather here in Boise, ID has been quite 'not-Novemberish"'. I got out all 3 days over Veteran's Day weekend and did 102 miles. 👍👍
