[Music] welcome back to the channel welcome back explorers my name’s Jack you join me here today as I’m once again jumping into the highlights of NASCAR following along every week as I have been I’m starting to really really follow it quite well the races we’ve had the last few weeks even the comments have been telling me are just unlike anything we’ve had for a while so I am getting treated to some incredible incredible racing and I know that I last week alone I could not believe that the win itself was the width of a credit card like that is and there’s been even closer in the truck series that’s that’s mindboggling H I’m excited to get into more of this I know a lot of you have been asking who my driver is I think finally I’m ready to say I think I am going to be following and it’s because I’m a new guy and it’s what I’ve seen number five Kyle lson I think he’s going to be my driver for a while until I see something else from someone else I like how he races he seems to have a good fan base everyone that I’ve spoken to that’s a lson fan is really cool and full of information and really helpful with the sport so I think that’s who I’m going to be if you’re new around here and you like what you’re seeing and you’re also a lasson fan please leave a like leave a comment subscribe all that good stuff it does so much for a small Channel like mine and if you’re old around here welcome back explorers I have finally made my decision please don’t kill me in the comments without further Ado I’m going to plug these headphones in let’s sit down I will not pause unless I have to but let’s go and The Goode 400 is underway a nice day for racing Straight Out The Gate wow the color schins this week There’s that highlighter yellow at the back there maybe that’s what I should follow cuz I see that car out of everyone the most because of how much it stands outted no time to SEC the second spot in turn four the next part of know he there we go there boy that’s a nice coloror re the leader will be in lap traffic now he’s going to Beed in traffic and that’ll beow opportunity we got rowski GS and right behind these two cars Kyle lson watch his line Clint when he goes into the entry to the corner he’s got a little bit higher entry see how he’s off that apron right there in a turn one and he uses that to get that straight line up off the corner he’s already see how he turns down earlier into turn two go into turn three right here he’s going to go in above that top scene and now that he’s catching traffic he may come down he may not be close enough to do it yet but when he was behind the I was going to say he made up a lot of distance there turn it off the wall but until he gets close when he gets closer he’ll turn that car off the wall and drive off he went from 20th to first in 20223 who they get passed by you got Byron in the lead by the way Byron somehow around the five in Pit Road that’s why youed pit early now you I love that sound and that this this is when it becomes difficult right because you got to run that I’m very quickly going to pause here and just say thank you to everyone that tagged me in videos of the flyby that I asked for in last week video I appreciate all of you and for all of you that skipped the beginning I have chosen my driver it’s Kyle Larson yes you can hate me in the comments I don’t care let’s continue a whole long run um all the way I mean it’s going to be 50 plus lap so you never know with these guys they might decide to to split it up again but um that’s going to be a long ways if we run the whole run BL Gibbs Byron low and r laps in after one round of green flag pit stops Kyle Larson passing Ty Gibbs here to take over the front spot Ty was having trouble getting around Carson hos far in front of him oh a little bit of a caught him pretty quick to slide there got bit squirly yeah yeah and that’s real real easy to do in that corner we actually um it’s a very common problem no matter what car you drive getting loose in into turn three the way that you carry the speed in and it has kind of a little bit of swell getting into the corner kind of a ridge that you go over now take a look at stage points Ryan I just want to ask the commentator just there was he actually just waffling just for the sound of his own voice to fill the air or does he act because it seems like he says a lot of stuff that’s very common sense but he says it like it’s very factual and it’s like are you just talking to fill the air and blay remember he was 18th before the Pit Stop Cycle he ran the first 45 laps before coming in he’s up into the top 10 so a gain of eight with that strategy both of these guys right here Buble Wallace and Ryan Blain were the guys that that stayed out the longest so it’s Blain that drives to highlight a green it just became a little easier to up that track last lap stage one Larson holding station oh yeah behind Chase Elliot so it’s not to put his hendrik Chevy teammate a lap down good boy still get his lap back on the free pass but he’d have to pit with the lap down cars and start tail end just stay behind good strategic move here this will be Larson’s seventh stage win of the Season he only had in all of2 now I was going to say now I feel bad because I’ve chosen lson when he seems to be winning throwback scheme to Terry Leon’s 96 Championship look at this guy six beat him out 45 didn’t have to move much where’s he at plus three at that number one box there it is Kevin number one by right stage two Tyler reic Brad keslowski bring them back to green and away we go straight that’s a good jump number one a very good jump kski was so frustrated yesterday after qual qualifying because he knows how much easier that number one pit stall makes this day and you saw evidence of that as Tyler REI came off Pit Road first that time man look at blay coming by looking to the inside of Byron right there just keeps marching up through them good day BL in some points NE on the front NE spun facing the wrong way in that Lee Petty 1956 Dodge tribute car John Hunter n was running 17th oh no second caution of the day it comes at lap 121 what happened did his tire blow yeah Tire Down Kevin man gone completely gone what happened left rear and right front what happened and away we [Music] go I don’t see no five wide on this track I see some three wies they squeeze him oh no no no no noyle behind that was accordion style a right rear toe link broke watch William Byron he’s the one that gets the run here goes to the inside as he gets into three gets him three wide ah yeah you see that 12 car get to the outside of the 19 and then boy yeah they just all came boy we talked about it in the beginning think hey that could have g a lot worse you see those accordion pups just they start to snake and spin out and take everyone with them that was a good that was lucky it didn’t get worse the side of trying to back out but big hit for BL big hit 17’s going to have that frontting damage like you’re talking about okay we restart again it’s Reddit Kowski gives Byron loo Wallis and L out else’s Fortune look at that Lano Bubba Wallace up there filling them slots here they come boy reck’s had great fire off speed all day re has been powering from those jumps from the starts he’s been jumping clean off the line that’s what you want you want to be able to control the race you want to control it on the Pit Road you control it off Pit Road on the restarts into turn one pick the lane and it’s who is that that Tyler Redd I quite like Tyler Reddit too I won’t lie I’m going with l because the fans that I’ve spoken to in the comments and the racing that I’ve seen from him I am fond of other drivers but I think I am going to be following Kyle LS on the row where Tyler re has is re going to get a good jump [Music] again not so in front there but he’s pushing Brad Kow be a more aggressive the side draft right there and he’s kept himself in a better position but this is when it gets tight coming off a turn two uhoh see those over that bump on the exit but Brad keslowski is there yes that was a great start for Brad keslowski trying to slide job re still on him keslow is giving a good good good chase a little bit right there they they both know they don’t have to take care of their tires but they also know how important it is to get not only stage Point position in control this ain’t about the ties no more it’s about where we finish for this stage boys let’s go behind reic who’s now led more laps at Darlington than any other track in his career for two reic leading keslowski by a second gives one and 3/4s back Tyler reic looking to win his second stage of the season and it would be his first stage win at Darlington well I’m reic for your first stage win in that Tim Richmond Daytona consolation race winning graphic scheme on the number 45 reic who done here they come for stage three final stage green flag is it the final stage yes come on we’ve got reck kazlowski lson Byron and Hamin they are banging they’re already on oh Larson’s down on the inside he’s chasing hard that oh he’s keeping him out here comes William Byron what a starting lap for stage three pretty nice to him there wasn’t he yeah I really plenty of room to to at least try to make him go the opposite direction but played a bit drove a bit Fair there free wide again oh keep him out keep him out to the lead lap in the 31 new leader Brad keslowski for the second time today one the thing that happened right there was keslowski had clean air in front of him and and reic was behind that lap car that’s what you like to see got him tight and Brad was able to drive by and more aggressive let’s hear what the five has to say 41 to go LS oh no no went off the be loose excuse me flat tire and that will bring out a caution at lap that changes things oh please don’t tell me I’ve cursed lson he had brushed the wall earlier and his last couple of lap times were almost a second off the leader Joy loano had just passed in the lap before you see what happened there yeah just seemed like little bit of lock up yeah the lap times fell off because he I’m sure he felt that left your tire going down and no traction little bit of slide and everything goes has in a asler reings us back to with Brad kazlowski inside ah not a good day for me but it is what it is and we move and re can’t clear well I think Brad knew exactly what he needed to do right there you see him shov him up the’s back in 34 I think Brad feels like this is his what would have been his best chance to drive come on Kyle make up some Paces definitely saw him fighting for space on the ENT to the corner and here we go again side draft off the 45 this is a very very good race between reck and kazlowski I can’t even lie it they are battling the whole way around got on push him push him push him third battling TI Gibs but then berer pulls ahead come on now it’s six cars together for the lead come on reck come on recki an just because you’re not much of a winner I want going to give his teammate a huge shot how about that I’m surprised now that is teamwork that was his boss could have got a two for one right there man they’re going at it Kevin well both of these where the hell did that speed just come from he’s chasing him he wants him that’s a good teammate go Bush the bottom reic trying to power ahead and can’t do it kazlowski is still right on his ass even and ahead one more shot you’re going to have to run him up the track he need to crowd him you got to get him you got to get him running out of Chances with him up there in that preferred Groove he runs low hard on his tires on the long run so you see Chris busher he’s going to play a part in this if he can if he has the opportunity to help Brad as we saw he’ll do it again fantastic racing door to door for these guys I thought reck might have rubbed the wall right there but he’s leaning on him going to pass him both way down on the APR there guys Chris berer buer going to check up last week the bridesma now he’s in the lead here comes the dive bomb he’s going to try to slide Ric wants this win little door check that’s okay look out for number six get random get random get random he’s getting real mad in got right flat Ric you shitty boy fces it again no caution yet still going around there I’m not so sure that that 17 car has not got an issue as well yeah he’s he’s the sixes I got goosebumps the nits have gone hard what is going on team White Flag one lap to go spored by Credit One B final lap here we go looks like Kow is getting that dub from getting back into Victory Lane he has done a fantastic job we knew that was a crazy little bit there and we knew he had a good car yesterday qualified in position to do exactly what he’s done today RFK they’re here they’re back both of those cars were a factor and it’s Brad keslowski so happy for this guy three years of trying 21 Brad kazlowski wins The Good Year 400 I love seeing the teams even if it’s a driver I don’t like I love seeing the teams ah H Chris oh you know what while we’re here I’ll put this on hard work pays off what happened here whoa whoa whoa whoa bu or mat at reic what was that about I wasn’t going to work I last I uh you know what listen it takes a big man to hold his hands up and admit when he’s in the wrong or when he’s done something wrong I can see that I can understand why bush is so pissed at him but this is good I like to see that he understood what he did wrong he knew that’s [Applause] good you could tell busher really wanted to have a scrap and he knows that he can’t now so he has to keep calm you can tell he’s for so his blood is boiling you could tell his blood was boiling H right thank you NASCAR thank you everyone for watching I the racing pedigree we having in the last few weeks is just incredible so bring on next week let me know if you enjoyed let me know if you’re going to be it next week let me know if you’re at this track everything in the uh have a great day be well and bye-bye [Music] oh [Music]

    1. Darlington is THE hardest track on the schedule u have to be right next to the wall to make speed and the way the tarmac is it chews through tires within 5 laps the tires are basicly wore out and one end is much more narrower than the other cause they had to build around someones pond but with it being so hard for the drivers it always makes a great race like this one

    2. Brad Keselowski's throwback paint scheme pays tribute to the Tom's Castrol Toyota Supra race car, as seen in what is now the Japanese Super GT Series (previously known as the Japanese Grand Touring Car Championship, or JGTC for short) which ran and won numerous races in the GT500 class. The car is incredibly famous for its depiction in the Gran Turismo racing games and is well-known even outside Super GT fan circles. As someone who's in love with the Gran Turismo series, I'm so glad I got to see the car in victory lane. The cherry on top was that 110-race winless streak, snapped in an instant!

    6. You could definitely picked a worse favorite. I would have serious second thoughts about you if you had chosen the 22, 54, or 9. I respect the talent of Larson being one of the best on the planet behind the wheel of a car regardless of the track or car. He is okay in my book. Not someone I pull for but someone I am not mad at running up front and winning.

    8. Larson's a good pick he's possibly pound for pound the best wheelman in ALL OF motorsport you put that boy in anything with four wheels and he's got a chance to win, speaking of which he'll be racing "The Double" in a couple weeks where he'll be racing the Indy 500 in an indycar in the afternoon and the NASCAR Coke 600 at Charlotte at night, it's only been done a handful of times.

    9. Your positivity and attitude are so refreshing. Now I'm watching you every week! So cool seeing how closely you pay attention in your reacts

    10. Welcome to the Kyle Larson fan club! Don’t be too shocked when he wrecks lol he either competes for the win or wrecks and finishes 30th. There is no in between 😂😂😂 still the points leader though

    11. Maybe it's time to check out Australian car racing. Check out the 9 minutes long video.
" Tenmotorsport. There nothing like it.
This is Mount Panorama. This is Bathurst. "
      Enjoy !!! Cheers thanks. 🤠

    12. The Darlington Stripe is a trophy that is earned in the race. So any time you see someone scrub the wall a small amount, At Darlington alone, is called earning your stripes

    13. Early 2004, i was being wooed by a company that wanted me to take control of all maintenance operations for an entire division within their firm. I had already decided to accept, but was holding out for a better deal. This was greatly aided by an employee that was already working within said division, whom I had known since our school days. With his clandestine input i managed to not only improve my own personal hiring package, but also negotiated for better conditions/funding for my newly acquired team. Management even threw in two tickets for the Carolina Dodge Dealer's 400, held in Darlington that year. I told them that i needed four. They caved, and I took myself, my wife, my friend(the MVP who had made the deal possible), and his wife to that Darlington Spring race on the company's dime.
Darlington has ever been called "The Track too Tough to Tame". Dramatic banking and elevation changes, asymmetrical oval, strange geographical placement. She's a b!tch.

    14. Darlington, nascars oldest speedway on the season's race schedule.
Harold brassington a retired race car driver, inspired by the crowds at Indianapolis motor speedway, wanted his own race track. Buying 70 acres from farmer sherman ramsey, the track was built on a cotton/peanut field.
Harold was forced to make the track into a egg shaped oval because he promised to not disturb Sherman's minnow pond. So turns 3&4 are a tighter radius, narrower and more steeply banked than 1&2. That tighter radius and flat part of the track makes entry at speed into pit road difficult and a lot of race cars have spun out misjuding there approach into the pits.
Built in 1949 they had the 1st race on labor day 1950. There was a 80 car field for the 1st race. For years after it was the biggest race on the schedule until they built daytona in 1959. Keep in mind most other tracks they ran back then were dirt tracks. the track asphalt has always been abrasive to very abrasive as the asphalt got older. In the 1950's the race cars were using street tires. And they'd blow out from the abuse of going around the track in a short amount of time and run out of tires they brought 2 the track. They went into the infield and asked race fans if they could borrow there wheels and tires off there street cars they drove to the track to finish the race.
Some fans didn't get there wheels back. Or got back a blown set of tires. So to this day tires wear FAST here. So race cars with new tires and more grip, zing right by race cars with older tires. The track length is 1.366 miles around.the flat part of the turns was used as the racing surface back in the 1950's when race cars didn't go that fast. And the banking was there to help you from hitting the guardrail they had back then. So it wasn't built for modern faster race cars. Nobody built race tracks like this back in 1949 anyway. They didn't replace the gaurd rails in the turns until somewhere in the late 1970's or 1980's.
Its so hard to drive because the narrow progressive banking.
The top lane in 1&2 is 23 degrees and you gotta run up there to go the fastest. Plus your tires are wearing out very fast. So how fast you went into a turn may not work and have you sliding into the wall the next lap. Alot of drivers end up scraping the wall witch is called the darlinton stripe. Plus turn 3&4 gas a odd racing line you drive through that part of the track. Get it wrong and you'll hit the wall. Your racing the track more than your racing other cars. They get up to 184mph here.
Called the lady in black and also called the track too tough to tame.
They moved the start finsh line to the back strait in 1997 so they could put up a larger grandstand. For a detailed tour of this track go to stapelton 42 you tube channel. Type in Darlington speedway.
75 years of history at this track.

    15. Darlington is my favorite racetrack. Very unique and usually provides great finishes. See 2003. But my favorite part of this video is you picking a favorite driver. I try to explain why i watch nascar. I watch 3 seperate race at the same time. The leaders, my favorite driver and whatever cool battle is happening at the moment. Thats entertainment for me 3 hours for me

    16. Well if your gonna be a larson fan your definitely gonna have to watch the indy 500 and were gonna need a video of you reacting to his dirt highlights.

    17. One thing to note coming into next weeks all-star race is that it doesn’t count for championship points, but the reward for the winner is $1 million ( the defending winner is Kyle Larson btw)
