neckar the great expulsion of the Palestinian people from their lands city of hyper and it har become the center of bitter conflict as the new Jewish state is bed [Music] what [Music] I’m in 1948 a tragic event unfolded that forever changed the course of history the nacba a day etched into the collective memory will never be forgotten today the community of Gloucester stands United in unwavering solidarity as they commemorate the NABA in their thousands the people of Gloucester come together Resolute in their support as they honor and remember the NAA but the NABA is not just a chapter from the past it is a present day reality marked by ongoing displacement settler violence and the Relentless expansion of illegal settlements through the lens of contemporary struggles we witness the daily indignities faced by Palestinians living under occupation their aspirations for freedom and self-determination continually thwarted by the Machinery of Oppression yet amidst the darkness there are glimmers of hope we see the solidarity of global movement standing in solidarity with the Palestinian cause demanding an end to the cycle of violence and Injustice freee free free free free free free it’s shame on you it’s shame on you s shame on you s shame on you s free free from The River To The Sea we hear the voices of activists and Advocates amplifying the call for boycotts divestments and sanctions against the perpetrators of Oppression unwavering support for the Palestinian cause remains steadfast Palestine right now if you look it’s an ongoing aparti it’s the ongoing n day in day out the dis the killing the murdering rebellion and I’m also a British Jewish activist with namad more particularly I was born in South Africa and I’m Jewish three things to say not in my name second never again not for anyone third Viva via Palestina [Music] F fever Palestina and for the recognition of their basic human rights from the rest of the world it’s a fight that challenges us to look Beyond political rhetoric to the human stories of suffering and resilience at its core in these 76 years the world has witnessed cycles of negotiations in Conflict acts of both hope and despair however we Echo a powerful plea to the world urging for eyes to open and witness the oppression inflicted by Zionism a day will come when Israeli crimes would be held accountable once more the resounding strength of the community reverberated Through Gloucester as hundreds and thousands poured into the [Music] streets we are the people [Applause] is Israel is let’s listen to the voices of the people and hear why they’ve gathered here today what’s the reason uh well to standing solidarity with Palestine um it’s it’s been 76 years of uh brutal occupation and dispossession and um I just thought I’d come along and show my support especially for Gaza but uh not least what’s happening in in the West Bank and in East Jerusalem too that what’s the purpose of here today so today’s purpose was to commemorate 7 6 years of the NBA to remember that this didn’t start on the 7th of October and it has been going on for 76 years you going to continue your support yes upwards and onwards today’s attendance was absolutely fantastic but we can do better as a lot of the speeches have said this doesn’t end at the end of today it continues and we must together continue this thank you so much what’s the purpose you here today for this is very important we should all get out of our comfort zone and actually support this cause if we don’t do it now when are we going to do it we’ve come to support Palestine it is really everybody should be awake and know what’s happening it’s most important is to educate people if we know outou in numbers nothing will make difference you know uh slowly slowly people are understanding there seeing things but they feel they can’t do anything but when we are in numbers people know that we can do something thank you the community stood together urging for an immediate ceasefire an end to the killing of Innocents and the Swift return of Palestinian homes to their rightful owners their unified chant echoed free free Palestine today we wanted to show solidarity through our actions through marching with our brothers and sisters in Gaza and especially the ones who are in Rafa right now to say we stand with you today we’ll always stand with you until Palestine will be free inshallah we will always support you we will always stand with the right people with the oppressed no matter if we are standing alone we will always stand with you and inshallah we pray and we hope that there is a a resolution to this matter soon all [Music] [Music] yeah I’m I’m here to support the Palestinians um and I’ve attended previous uh meetings and um protests and uh obviously things have the horror has continued um and we’ve just had the US government saying that Israel may have committed war crimes with uh Us weapons um so it’s sort of creeping into the mainstream the um the the idea that Horrors have gone on and people like ourselves are it’s not so marginalized perhaps as we as we were a few months ago um but obviously we need to keep up the pressure and and uh we’re we’re organizing to to do just that today um we’re here to support the Palestinians we’re here to stand up against war and imperialism um and we’re here because um there is there are no there’s no political party in this country that’s um representing us and representing the international working class and the oppressed and poor people of the world um we need to build a movement and we need to build uh political representation to bring together um the the workers and the poor and the oppressed around the world against global capitalism um and um we we can’t trust any of the politicians in Westminster they’re Hypocrites and um they don’t speak for us so we need to build a party that does stand for for us and stands for a press people in Palestine and around the world brilliant thank you so much for your support James really appre thank you very much a day will come when the Palestinian people will reclaim their rightful homes in Palestine their resilience
