Some maybe glad to hear that difficult….even tetchy negotiations with the present Mrs Little ended on a positive note and for the time being at least, the YB will be remaining in my custody but will still be parked next to the lawn mower.
I have a couple of other little trips in mind….one to Lands End so I can say I have been to the far extremities of the UK mainland on the bike. The second – I am thinking about doing the “coast to coast” run with the NACC next year, fro Hartlepool to Whitehaven and then, while in the Lake District, to ride across the Hardknott and Wrynose passes which in my relatively knowledgable opinions are the steepest mountain hills in the UK. I am ready to be rebuked on that – I have no doubt that the YB will make it over those passes easier than any monster GS or Gold WIng – but its a tricky climb with difficult bends, cambers and gradients. We shall see !
