Today I’m on a the gravel ride around our home in France close to Chamonix Mont Blanc, France in the heart of the French Alps.
If you like road cycling and gravel riding in the mountains and cycling in the French Alps then you are on the right channel.
My bike for this gravel ride is my trusty Canyon Inflite Cyclocross bike with Continental Terra Trail Gravel Tyres ideal for the gravel terrain in the Mont Blanc region of France. #rideshimano
The stunning views of Mont Blanc are a key feature of our gravel rides.
This gravel ride starts in the Arve Valley floor and I bike above Lake Passy in the directions of Chamonix Mont Blanc towards Plaine Joux and Lac Vert. High above Servoz , gravel riding in the region rewards you with an amazing vista of the Mont Blanc massif including the Aiguille du Midi high above Chamonix.

Hope you like this gravel riding adventure in the Mont Blanc region of the French Alps. We'll be delighted to answer any comments or questions you have 🙂
I need to walk over that bridge Mike ! Another superb video capturing it from the eyes of your cross bike – thank you. Lac Vert is stunning ! Love the choice of music especially on the descent ! Still gives me sweaty palms seeing the speed and gradient ! 😉
This looks like fun Mike, although really tough in parts. Check out that heart rate :-). Brilliant route and scenery. Cannot wait to try this out, hopefully this year.
This excellent video shows the wide variety of cycling in the area, the perfect venue for a Cycling holiday based on day trips from one base..and that is before you start on the endless MTB possibilities. The 'Gravel' riding in the area is superb with vast choices for routes..it is Gravel riding Haute Savoie style ! so you won't have the easy surfaces of the UK or US but it is fun with a world class backdrop. Thanks again Mike for showcasing this amazing area with high quality filming and narration.
Really enjoyed this one Mike, wish I had a gravel ride like this on my doorstep!
Hi Mike, ridden the risd version of this, any way I can get the route for next time I visit Chamonix? Cheers
