Hello! Back with a long one!
Checking a few updates and upgrades in Paris, from the suburban backstreets to the heart of Paris.
Today, a school zone currently pedestrianised in Fontenay-sous-Bois, and the LONG-AWAITED cycle paths on avenue de Nogent.
In Paris we observe the final updates on rue de Charenton, including new bike parking being installed, and a tiny ‘Dutch’ roundabout.
Finally, my very colourful and expressive disappointment in the seemingly ineffective layout of the ‘bike street’ section of rue de Charenton.
What are your thoughts?
– Is the forest path ‘too much’?
– Is it a ‘Dutch’-style roundabout if there is no physical protection?
– Your opinion of the bike street section of rue de Charenton ? How can it made safer? Did I overreact?
(The answers are no but I’m biaised)
Thank you for watching, I truly appreciate the recent bump in comments and subscriptions, that means a lot!

Ah, c'est super, la piste de Vincennes est terminée. Elle est tellement plaisante que même les piétons en profitent !
The new forest path looked great, I would want lots of distance from traffic going that fast. It is an example of giving bikes lots of space only when it is easy to do so.
That was a roundabout? Let’s call it an experiment.
Charenton started so well with the bike only part but is another failed experiment. It needs at least two chicanes in the straight sections so cars can’t accelerate like they did here.
Still way better than my city in quality and quantity. Thanks for the vid.
