It’s a slow start to the day, but eventually, it’s time to leave the New Forest and head to the Isle of Wight for the annual ride across the island.

there was no dramas last night um it did rain a little bit but nothing I don’t think it was really I it was just a few um spots um I didn’t actually sleep that well uh last night which is very unusual for me I normally sleep like a log um when I’m camping but yeah don’t know why but he ho um it is what it is as I always say um so we’re going to head to the is white today um get over there um uh camp tonight obviously um and then meet um a load of other people coming over for the annual is white bike ride although as I said before it’s not so annual anymore but that’ll be good so yeah I’ll get there today then I’ll cycle over and meet them from the ferry tomorrow and join them on the cycle back to um the campsite so well we should get on and pack up um yeah and get on that road well we finally left um the campsite um well I was Doling around packing away but um also was talking to a nice uh Dutch couple or family I should say that were in a motor home next to me so that was good he’s into his formula one so that was that was a good conversation I think we’re going to just head down the uh main road to uh get the ferry uh we’ll get it from Linhurst and it’s the nearest one uh yeah we get the ferry get over to that a of white should get there early well I think it’s only about uh 20 mil it’s not that far at all all right next ohy no actually I think we’re going to go there we’re going to go there country route there’s no rush to get there go and get one more uh picture of the new Forest before we uh leave it well we still have quite a way to get to lers but and I think we probably are going to skip for the main road now Mr indecisive here yeah just detour up this road a little bit and take some pictures for turning around and heading back onto the main road well that seems like a waste of time um there’s no py is and well I think to be honest if the sky was blue it might look a lot better but it doesn’t so let’s turn around although I always like the the gor I do like the smell of that um actually always reminds me of the a white um on the Sunday uh we normally go for a walk up over whatever the Hills are there and that’s um lined with GS or in places and say always always reminds me of the all white a there’s those ponies they cross the road but I think we’ve had enough photos of ponies these days right let’s get back on that main road down line there you go see liing soon’s only 3 miles oh do make me mind up on we are going the uh qu now Well Road Clos all right 13 so that’s okay but we have a choice here um we either sort of go um straight over down there or we go um which will bring us in to uh lindur on the main road or or we go down there get on the road and that’ll take us to the Ferry Road I’ll take a photo of this lion before I do anything um I think we’ll go um this way um we came up that uh uh other Road um uh a couple of weeks ago when we came uh down here so we’ll go this way I mean that other Road would take us more to where we want to be by the ferry but no rush I think I might have a look in a minute just to see what time the feries are cuz I know in the past there used to be like a 2hour gap between them but I think I looked maybe when I was here last time I can’t remember but they gone back to an hour which that’s fine I don’t mind waiting an hour if I’ve missed the ferry but certainly don’t want to wait 2 hours I think the ferry might have just come in judging by all the traffic that’s sort of been going past me I’m not going to rush if we well yeah that’s the course I was to say if we miss it we miss it but of course it is 2 hours to the next one we don’t want to miss it so I think I will get a bit of a move on look here always good to see the M a’t they still as scary as they ever used to be well that was damn handy straight on there uh Ferry and I don’t know whether you actually heard on the ferry but all the all the bikers were there from years gone past oh how funny they still go that was always the selling point of the I white bike trip but they don’t um go in uh to the uh campsite next to us anymore they oh there they go I don’t know where they went yeah they go over uh the other side of the island now don’t know why they changed but they did right I’m not making that wind me and there’s bit of a chill to it normally we come along the uh cycle path which comes out just up here somewhere on the uh the right say we there it is there isn’t there um but yeah I thought we just go along the main road it’s only a short um little skin so that um cycle path can be a little bit bumpy at times but yeah that’s um just thought it’s first trip to the H white this year and hopefully not the last we just pulled over to the side of the road um if you can see in the distance all those um uh cyclists um I was on the ferry uh with them didn’t realize they were coming my way so I saw them coming up behind me so I pulled over for a minute let them go past not that any of them acknowledge me but hey ho never mind and half of them are on electric bikes um well the SD card just um ran out so but probably the good time for it to run out really you can see me I have to get on the uh bike to can we get going now right the wrong here right that’s it well there you go that’s looking back down the hill how exciting is that I think you can probably see Yarmouth we might even be able to see the um main land the north aisle as they call it here right let’s go I’m going to going to bore everybody with one of my shorts this will be fun for everybody tomorrow if this winds still like this I mean it is a bit of a struggle on the Hills at the best of times without this wind why me right I shall turn you around once we get to the top I’m not going to try and do it while we’re going up cuz that’ll end in tears fact I’m going to struggle to turn you off no we W right well we was nearly at the top of the hill um I just spotted something and I think I better and this gates open on this field I can see the Sheep Gathering so I think I better do my bit let’s close it there you go sorry you lot you ain’t coming out right well now we’ve done our good deed for the day let’s get back up that hill it take us all day to get to the campsite at this fre ow I knew that oh I just knew that would happen just caught myself on the pedals again oh I really do need to do something about them they are they are so sharp you wouldn’t believe it although I do know my skin is very thin but sure it’s more we now we’re leaking blood oh oh can’t do anything about it let’s go right you you need to come up a bit maybe let’s have a look hold on let’s play messed up up now never mind right you’re going to have to like that that will do sake oh for got you on goodbye right in natural fact I’m going to stop cuz I’m not happy with the way you are might happy with my leg now as well well never mind I’m an actual fact oh we might not show this but look God dripping blood everywhere f sake BL hell right that’s what you get for doing a good deed right well yeah this is we’re just coming into Bryon um I don’t know whether to get supplies now or wait until we’ve unloaded then come back into the village oh man I usually like to get all my supplies before I stop um right but I don’t really know what we’re going to cook for supper tonight I have an idea but it’s depending on whether I can get a couple of eggs so and well I’m going to stop and see how much room we”ve got have a look yeah some reason my penas are rather full right I think we’ll we’ll set up camp and then we’ll come back in and get our supplies there well actually I’ll leave you on as we go through the center of Bryon it’s always a bit pretty little village and again I’m not where I thought I was it’s further up oh I’m going to leave you on cuz it’s up around that corner think oh new houses we are seem to remember they might been being started um when I was here before I can’t think when I cycled up this road the last time cuz I think the last few times we’ve come here we’ yeah well I think we’ve come from um sort of South South Southampton Newport Way I can’t think of the last time we l more houses there oh I don’t know ah but this is new traffic calming measures weather thing it’s turning perhaps I should look at the weather forecast as well before we decide whether we’re going to carry on through looks like the news agents is closed let’s have a look at the weather before we make a deis oh no that’s fine um it says there’s no no chance doesn’t necessarily mean it’s true yeah we’ll we’ll set up and come back down B Road oh hello a back TI there here we are there you go going Farm wonder if we can go where we usually do we’re all set up in Camp so we’re off to get um supplies I’m not sure I’m so keen on um that campsite anymore don’t know it seems to get more pods and I see um they’ve got um oh something else which I can’t think what they call like a gypsy Caravan can’t think what they call them now but yeah they seem to have them and there’s more hard standings and gravel roads that me used to be grass and it’s not exactly um cheap uh I used to always think the um New Forest was expensive but mean that is it’s um 17 a night yeah um I don’t think I mentioned if I have you well won’t be here in this bit I got a discount coming on fairy I got um uh pensioners rate a I pop my cherry with my discount on as being a pensioner um what I think it what was it4 or5 I think it’s sa so not bad better than a kicking the T so that’s something I must remember to say um the blo did ask me if I if I had a I can’t remember his words so whatever it is you obviously thought I look quite old ah but oh well chuff with that to say I have to remember it when we go back and um oh getting back to uh the campsite we’re not actually in uh one of our regular spots um the spot that I used usually like to go in um they there’s a bin right next to it so didn’t think I really wanted to be next to that so yeah we’re down the bottom it’s fine wherever right let’s get to that shop and get some beer or something might be a bit happier after that um even you know um well as you can see we’re all set up for um the evening uh 26 miles today um some of those were from um uh the last couple of days as well but yeah that’s fine we knew it wasn’t going to be far um well I’ll probably take you for a little Wonder um tomorrow that not a lot you can see um seems to be getting well don’t know seems to be lots of um oh little pods and sort of gypsy Caravans which can’t think for the life of me the name that you normally call them Shepherd’s Huts that’s it that’s what I was looking for natur fact I think i’ probably said this earlier yeah shepher H that’s what I was looking for there’s a a few of them now but yeah it’s fine on that um I might not speak over the next um couple of days or so I’ll see how it goes but yeah but either way I shall definitely talk to you when I’m on the way home goodbye
