morning all well not uh quite as early as we um normally are but um we’re going away um the weather’s so nice um lovely day um I was well I was going to go away tomorrow um I got well I got things MI St upop so we got to well I haven’t got to but we’re doing some um research hi hi um we’re helping out with uh some research into what is it my oh my degenerative cervical myopathy so I’m being interviewed by a researcher over that well I thought it was today so the idea was I’d do that today um I think it’s over Ms teams or something and then go away tomorrow I spend uh one night uh down the New Forest um then head down to swanage and then head over to the is of white for the um well I would say annual but not so annual H white bike ride which is being resurrected this year so instead we’re going to go uh to New Forest today and we we’ll just spend two nights um there I can do it over the F will hope I can I don’t really know but time will tell um or to be honest cuz I think it’s between 10 11 um if I feel like it I might um move on after that cuz it’s not that far to swanage well it’s pretty hilly but yeah it’s not that far so but as I say we we’ll probably end up staying in the New Forest for uh two nights I think think I’m sure I looked earlier in the week and it’s going to be a nice um uh South easterly for the next couple of days which well that just blow me down to the New Forest today all right let’s get should have gone on the road perhaps tends to get a bit busy along here as the day goes on right that’s let’s do it now come on that’s not good all right that’ll do I forgot to mention um I’ve not heard from the um hospital about my um x-rays so that’s another reason for going away um normally when I go away something stops me from going so heading down here might mean that I get an appointment through although I’m sure it wouldn’t be for this [Music] week and the other thing life is so good um I’ve now got suspected G Stones so I’m waiting for a um scan on that hey ho right as you can see it’s such a lovely day makes a real nice change after all that bad weather we’ve been having um I don’t think it’s meant to Rainer so I did look uh briefly yesterday at the four cars for the week I don’t think I saw any well not for um Bogner anyway but who knows down um dors and Hampshire at least if it does rain I can try my tarp out I did think I was making good progress with this nice um Tailwind but I got stopped in the um well we just come through ches I got stopped in uh Center of CH by a lady um she was a Cyprus so we had a little chat and just coming over that um Bridge there I met another cyclist um Dave who cycling what did he say lands into Margate which I’m assuming is where he lives um as I would have done he found it that way cuz normally the wind is uh prevailing southwesterly but unfortunately today it isn’t but yeah hopefully he’ll get it I think he said he’s going to H tonight um his wife’s supporting him in a car so he’s not quite as bad but as I said to him doesn’t matter as long as he enjoys it right I am wondering now whether when I get to Haven I jump on the train to Southampton I never going to get to um The New Forest I I’m not very good if I don’t start early so we’ll make a decision on that as we get um there we got I know got be 8 n miles to go before we get there um the lady I was talking to very po um she was telling me tomorrow’s looking awful so maybe we won’t be going to spa and we will skti with the I’m original plan and just stay in Camp right Let’s cross this road right we’re not getting the train HP it feels like giving up for some reason so yeah we’re going to just keep cying I mean as I said there is a nice Tailwind so we’ just as well make the best of it um I am wondering though whether to go the uh top Road um there’s not a lot of difference in the mileage um it’s well it is a bit Hillier but well I’m surprised it’s not less M but oh well just look it it there is about 5k in it so thank you so yeah um we got to decide half a mile or so we’ll see but yeah it is a lot Hillier the topway um and it is along the main roads which are fine paring down up the hills they not good these days um we are going the uh Top Road say I just looked at the map I me I’m sure whatever that app said is wrong I’m sure it’s um a lot shorter but actually we shall see when we get to the New Forest yes cuz of course we only went uh last week and we went um directly there then so yeah we compar to there anyway um of course the other reason for um going this way we can if we need to hop on the train a bit further down at far or whatever Road hey I don’t know when the last time I came this way but it must have been oh winter or it definitely wasn’t spring cuz I could see in those trees to the left um there was like an encampment in there um can’t see it this time the trees are out too much as I say this is on the main road this way but he ho I only really have a problem with them when it comes to a hill and that’s cuz I can’t cycle in a straight line that we committed now so hey ho of course I forgot even on this route is a lot there’s a lot more cycle path than there ever used to be um admittedly admittedly not very nice ones although I don’t mind these when they’re on the road but ones that are on the pavement are up the P there stop I come this way last year when I went to um Solsbury I’m sure these Road Works were here then that quickly I’m sure they were yes of course we can this way cuz we go uh to the right at this um roundabout coming up that’s it cuz if I remember aren’t they put in a bus staining sure that’s what it was I was never go red again [Applause] we don’t want to go up over there with this there is a cycle route that takes you all around this yeah be now yeah we’re not going that way obviously we’ll stick with the road St over there quite a while since I’ve done this just up ahead to there where that white car’s coming out if you can see it and that’s the way we normally come out um when we take the um normal R cycle route uh via uh gosport but we um avoid the Ferry that’s where we come up up that road so that way well definitely was a lot quicker today um what is it it’s 20 12 um well yeah we didn’t leave till a 8 maybe gone a bit so 4 hours isn’t too bad um course we missed out on the feries so that probably saves a bit of time and fapping around there and I quite enjoyed that way today I think it’s probably cuz I’ve not done it quite a while I say we always seem to do the bottom way the cycle route and it has helped with that strong Tailwind all right oh although we do have a hill to go up in a minute which is annoying I me and we seem to be hitting that wind now hope not I thought we’d be okay all the way to Southampton of course we come uh the bottom bottom Bottom Road via the um pink ferry we come out there right just want this wind to blow us up this bridge this is much easier this time there is a nice breeze behind me we can do with this all the time don’t like the look at those clouds although that lady did say tomorrow’s not looking too good that’s annoying Circle path is still closed off right go on the road again do we’ve made it to uh Lind HSE um we’ve not stopped um I think we could be regretting that one later but well it is what it is I might stop and have a little drink of water the car’s still there by the looks of it oh I knew I knew this last bit would be hard going straight into the wind right I’m going to stop and have a little drink before we go any further I like stopped around here last time like last few miles but we got probably the worst Hill of the whole trp I really don’t like this H it’s quite Steep and on the fast Road and the road surface isn’t particularly great but once we get that one out the way it’s more or less downhill why me of course because we’ve had such a good wind behind us all the way we’ve now got it against us come on open up sorry we’re closed good are you all right yes are you wonderful here we go again then what game are we playing today you pretending you’re not coming to stay for more than no I will be for two nights but I’m only booking tonight well as you can see we’re we’re all set up tent’s up um it’s only what is it um well early today um well it’s only um just coming up to half pass three um that route is definitely a lot shorter it’s like well going uh the Bottom Road but missing out the pink ferry was 65 miles when we came down the other week um um going the top Road and Main Road and missing out all the fairies was 53 so yeah so it’s a how many is that s i mean that’s um s that’s 12 miles so it’s quite a quite a big difference all so that’s good and to be honest with that nice Tailwind it was very good um I’ve heard the forecast for uh tomorrow is wet but that doesn’t necessarily worry me cuz as I say I’ve got this um meeting in research bringing me so that’s fine but apparently um I was told there might be rain on whatever day it is after that on Thursday which will be very annoying if it is I mean if it is well I don’t think we’ll be going far but we shall see I sure continue getting everything out and well I shall speak to you later I shall put my um top up I think I shall check the weather if the rain’s coming in tonight I shall put my TP up um if it’s not coming in tomorrow I’ll leave it till then right get on with this and well I should speak to you all later goodbye

It's a wonder you haven't worn that saddle out. Why not stay at the Balmer Lawn hotel.
Are there country lanes that you could go on? Shame you have to be amongst so much traffic and roads!😮
