    1. The verses of the girl with the pink bow and the dog buried under the oak tree gets me choked up everytime. Blink and they both grow up way too fast.

    2. My dad would never had sold the farm. When he passed away, we made more money 💰 selling the farm 🚜 on auction than real estate; even though the person we wish didn't buy it

    3. First heard this song sitting in my truck after they enacted the domain law on the our 6 Gen family farm we're still fighting it may the good lord bless us to keep our land

    4. This was playing at the pizza place me and my husband were eating at last night, thought it sounded nice (couldn't hear it properly because of the atmosphere), I used my phone to look it up so I can properly listen to it later. Didn't expect to be moved and cry to this today

    5. They came in thinkin' top dollar
To that old cotton crop farmer
They knocked on his screen door, and he said
"Lord, what you need, boys, " and they said
"You know all the others went and cashed out
We got the subdivision all mapped out
It'll sit right here on this land
And you can leave town a rich man"
And he said, "Boys, whatever you're offerin', it won't be enough
'Cause I got a little girl that used to swing right there
I still see her pink bow in her brown hair
She's in the big city, but she still calls home
What's she gonna do if she comes back, and we're gone?
And over there, under that wide oak tree
Beneath the cross is where my best buddy's buried
Lasted 13 huntin' season runnin' strong
Keep your money 'cause a man can't leave his dog
And over there is where I got down on one knee
You can't buy that kind of dirt cheap"
One man smiled and he kinda looked away
The other said, "Before we go, I gotta know one thing
Between the droughts and the floods through all the years
What in the world got you through?
How the hell'd you get here?" And he said
"That little girl that used to swing right there
I still see her pink bow in her brown hair
Runnin' up after one of them long days
A big smile makin' every little worry fade
And over there, under that wide oak tree
Beneath the cross, where my best buddy's buried
All them huntin' seasons freezin' in a Jon boat
      Me and him, double-barrel and a two-stroke
And that woman that said yes when I got down on one knee
Yeah, you can't buy that kind of dirt cheap"
No, it ain't somethin' you fall into
      It's somethin' God gives you
      And you hold on to
Just like that little girl who used to swing right there
I still see her pink bow in her brown hair
She's in the big city now, but she still calls home
She's comin' back next week, and man, it's been too long
And over there, under that wide oak tree
Beside the cross, where my best buddy's buried
Lays a puppy posted up in the shade
That woman never could turn away a stray
I guess this's why she said, "Yes" when I got down on one knee
Oh, long as all this is here, why the hell would I ever leave?
And you can't buy that kind of dirt cheap this took 1 hour pls blow this up

    6. My new favorite song. I just bought a wooded 80 from a farmer last year. He passed years ago, and she was going into a nursing home. She passed a few months ago too. The family still operates the farm, and I use the 80 for hunting. Sad to see these family farms broken up. My family use to have a farm too. My grandpa's Dad passed away early and my grandpa's uncle ran the farm into the ground. Someone else is running the farm today and I still drive past some times.

    7. Just lost my beloved Doberman, Kona unexpectedly a few days ago. She was my everything. "Keep your money because a man can't leave his dog" hit me hard. No truer words have ever been spoken. Loved this song before I lost her and even got choked up at the thought of losing her. Now she's gone. Love you Kona!

    8. "And over there under that white oak tree, beneath the cross is where my best buddys buried, last 13 huntin seasons running strong, keep your money cuz a man cant leave his dog"

The first time I heard this song I was driving to pick up a part at work and just lost it 😢😭 right in the feels
