back out for a walk and I’m walking the Hart to Haswell walkway roughly 9 miles in countryside and little villages in County Durham #adventure #walking #hiking #hikingadventures #countydurham #peterlee #Hartlepool #haswell

shieldy and the [Music] outdoors hi guys welcome back to Shields in the outdoors back on the trail today we’re doing the heart to Haswell walkway it’s 8 and 1/2 Mile um so we’re at H station now and uh just on the outskirt of Harley pool and we’re going to walk 8 and 1 half mile the opposite direction to as well Village it would have been better if there there was any fog like so I don’t know if about any views or anything like that but we’ll see see if we can get any views today the sun’s trying to break through uh it’s a cool day today it’s only 17° um been quite hot lately uh for the past couple of days up to the 20 Celsius or maybe more Mark out in the Northeast I don’t know about the rest of the UK but uh yeah it’s going to be a good little of Venture get back out get some training in uh get quite a little bit of weight on me back get some training in for the for the big walk what I’m going to be doing in uh beginning of June uh we on the lads it’s about half 9 and we’re going to get started and hopefully it’s get done so let’s see you on the trail [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] guys just uh I’ve just reached crimon um and some uh some like billboard type things a bit of the history on I’ll just show you so is high days and H days so before the second world war families arrived for the day out a crimon by steam train they play games brought hot tea from marquel’s Hut and could take terrifying aerial flights from the clifftop flying Scot flying scotsman’s Bain air came through the 1970s um I know there used to be a P pill as well down the in the day crimon D um that one many people enjoyed holidays of cred in during the first half of the 20th century yep I know it used to be a very very ex it used to be a a very big place kmon um for Holiday makers and stuff like that back in the 20th century um I think my mom mom and dad used to say that there used to be a there used to be a P pill down there and they used to have like um fun fairs and stuff like that was a very big place bought it we in um we’re about here but we’re going to try and so we have to go all way through a f shot and Cy and then hit hell so when I get there if I want to continue I can continue the ri up if I wanted to or I can take this way back to the course but we’ll see how we get on see how far I get but we’re going to crack on now and keep going what’s out there time of Tide during the time of Tide project restoration of C CA partnership between I’m not going to read them all out there must be another on to helped try and sort it all out restore it but that let’s cut on and keep going [Music] all right we’re going past the uh the village of heselton um we don’t need to go through it though just going past it uh the next Village after this one will be Castle Aiden and then after that be windar and then shoten shot and Cy I don’t like going through there but we’ll have to uh and then after that’ll be HW well I think so yeah it’s going so far going so far so good um starting to get warm now like I was absolutely s and bucket uh before I got just before I hit hlon and the fog thought it might have cleared up but it hasn’t cleared up yet but it’s still super warm it’s only meant to get up to 17 today feels hotter than that it’s very humid uh but I it’s going good so far f is starting to warm up now and I’ve just had a little drink there refreshing um but yeah if you’re going to do any Walks Like This anything must take water you have to take water it’s the worst thing to do you’re thirsty and you’ve got no water and it’s hot it’s dangerous keep hydrated guys keep hydrated right I’ll bring you back further down the trail right just go past uh Castle Eden Village of Castle Eden um play it’s a really nice place to be honest uh see that that’s it over there I wanted to go there I was going to pop in to be honest there’s a PB there Castle leading in um I was going to go for a painting but it’s still too early it’s still closed um big good about that to P ins side a nice hot there uh but we a crack on now and just about to go over the a19 or under the a19 bridge up here and then after that let’s go down the trail a little bit bit further down and then we’ll hit wind gate but I’m making good time I think it’s just gone after 11:00 it’s just after 11:00 yep 20 p 11 I’m Mak good time I’m just I’m not going to base myself definitely not basing myself first just going to a nice roll um and then can’t you think there’s someone behind us all the time and we’ll get when we do get to hell I’ll see how I feel how many feet are um and then if we decide to keep pushing I will but we’ll see how we get on oh [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] right it’s going past the uh the village of Wingate now um I basically it’s up there uh you just I can just see I don’t think you’ll be able to see us uh this the Roes of the the houses um I but it’s definitely starting to warm up now like uh it’s definitely warm my feet my feet are starting it got it a a little bit now um but I think it’s just cuz of the Heat and I’ve got two pairs of socks on so my feet will be uh getting a bit Tad War but I it’s a lovely day for it um I know I think the weather’s starting to change now again I think it’s going to go propably cool again but we’ll see nor my look this will be the coolest day when I’m off work um it’s the only day I’ve had off and then when I’m back at work it’ll probably get super heat we every year again so right got to keep going right I was going to go at wind GE i’ go that way but we’re not going that way don’t need to so we’re going to keep going under this bridge there’s a sign over here we look see how far we’ve come don’t if you’re to see that see Zoom for you so Wing get we’re at now with Field Road well Field Road and another 38 miles 3.8 miles so not far to be honest not far at all um I think it’s just it’s about qu to 12 or something I think it’s about qu to 12 um we got plenty time it doesn’t get dark now till 9: about last 9: or just after 9: right guys uh reach me first road Main Road uh just come out well just where the uh I can’t what the road is now where me and GE did a camp up on this road uh at the Woodland uh couple months ago so was going to go up this way [Applause] um and then we’ll cross over here and then it’ll take take us to shot and cery so but one thing it’s good the sun’s come out it’s absolutely gorgeous lovely weather great day for us blue skies feel a little bit of cloud but blue skies w [Music] want to go for it now I have to run it like some sort of farming there’s a csite around here as well and it’s like I believe it’s a stables or something I don’t there some trays in the way so see hav’t got a Shu from around the side for years [Applause] that’s s that like um I I think it’s just stable I think people can come here and ride the horses and go for little horse rides and stuff like that but [Applause] I so going a bit further down the trail pass out uh Stables um You’ got a caravan Park here as well but I don’t think I can pick it up with from your phone you just say where there’s my finger there uh part the road there’s only a few car can I get a better shot here for you um I can’t what the Caravan Park called but there’s only a few Caravans on uh see there we go uh not interesting really um so I shouldn’t be too far the will head shot and cery um I have to be careful though um because there a a Travelers Camp type of thing on this Trail and there’s no offence in the dogs last time I did this how he got the shot and and I turned off cuz it was getting too dark it was back up in February uh but I didn’t do a video I just did a thing on on me Instagram um but the they have dogs uh what not on Le like tied up or anything like that they’re just roaming around but there’s new fences so last time I came down here a dog went for us so but it was they didn’t they’re not asked so I need to be careful with the dogs and stuff like that um but soon as it hit shot in all and one there let’s just keep walking I want to get out of it it’s a place that I don’t really like all the woods I’m coming through now just looking down just looking down here I’m looking on the other side as well the ground looks flat it looks pretty DEC [Applause] decent um I wouldn’t mind doing a camp up here I did want to further up the road with jaw a couple of months ago um if you haven’t seen that go and check it out um Plantation uh wild Camp I think it was called what I called it um but I wouldn’t mind coming down here I just come off the trail then SC down it’s pretty thick as well so I don’t think I’ll be squatted in there so definitely I might have to come down here and have a look see if I find a spot for a future video right I’ve decided I want to stop now and have some have some dinner it’s just 1 past 12 I think it’s about about 10 12 um what a view what an absolute view you’ve got pet Le over there oh there we go you got P Le over there we’ve come all the way on from that side so have a s a drink and then uh we’ll crack on and that’s when I’ll head shotting and then uh after that it’s h well and then that’ll be the walk done uh so I fa when I get there if I push on or not I don’t know if I want to yet see how I feel I don’t think you’ll pick that up to someone verion Little Dot see the little dot all I going to have us in wait and then uh I’ll I’ll prob about 20 minutes half an hour then I’ll crap on bye [Music] right guys coming in shot now it’s bloody warm now like I know not that far more in land now so it is warmer it’s going past the Travis camp had no problems the dog started following his leg for a little bit but that was all right H couple LS on the horses there so all right so coming at sh through shotting now hopefully we’ll hit hle so not too far now [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] right this uh this part of the trail of walkway I haven’t I haven’t walk this part before uh the only part I’ve walked is before when we hit the road had shoten that’s where I turned off last time so um this is all new to me this part of the trail so it’s just an adventure even if you just get out about an hour away you know what I mean like go for a walk everything’s an adventure you might see something new you might not like there’s a [Applause] door being tipped into some water something new it’s an adventure there but I what a day for it though blue skies slightly few clouds or but I’ve seen some decent Wildlife I’ve seen all different type of birds um I think I’ve seen some pheasants or or those grouters I’m not too sure um what else have I seen seen a couple Scrolls um I’ve seen a DI I’ve seen a de um just seen this little white ass running no away but all it’s great nice what can you do on a Sunday see I’ve only got one day off so I couldn’t even ready go for a camp I was going to go for a camp yesterday um after work but time I finished and because it was that hot yesterday because I work in the kitchen I was on the grill been on the grill and it just took us out of us the heat I was I was absolutely exhausted yesterday so had me bag me B’s all there toy sitting room in the bag um it’s just sitting there it’s all ready to go I just could not be bothered so I’ve been of thought myself last night I said if I’m not going for a camp I need to do something so I’ve ended up coming for this walk and oh it was a good idea love a lovely day and exercise um and hi fair enough I’m not with anyone so I don’t anyone to talk to but I’m talking to the camera talking to you guys talking to you I know you can’t talk back but it’s something I’m die just going to keep going [Music] [Music] why you me [Music] right I’m just getting me first grimp of H now is over the fields just going down this long up and down Road up and down there must be some sort of bike trail or something up here put around on the motor bikes up there now the IR will coming through hlon someone cut P shooting as well just stand Sunday isn’t it go shooting farmers and stuff so someone’s splitting about on the motor bik up there that’s it it’s just a glorious day dead peaceful as well lovely so hopefully it won’t be long and I’ll be at the Finish Line oh at the end of the trail [Music] all right guys I’ve come off the trail here hit the road I’m going to go down this way that’ll take us to hosital now I just need to try and find the sign if there is a sign uh for for the trail a look with power in my hands dreaming you this Liv like a free man just want man TR just dreaming do are guys War completed take off me list I’ve done it um couldn’t asked for a better day to do it um I’ve been I’ve been a look of and I can’t find any signs to finish the work off um I thought it would have might have been a sign telling like this is the trail there’s nothing here um so have I look on a map uh someone’s put online this is where P ends on the map so that’s now um but yeah thank you if you’ve made it this
