We hope you enjoy our Cricket Match Highlights

[Music] hello again everyone and welcome back today for footage of our national Cup match away at beckingham CC Joe won the toss and chose to bat on a used pitch which looked like it was going to turn a bit for the slow Bowlers not really something you’d expect to see this early in the season just the one change for us from our game on the Saturday raal comes in for floydy giving us another batsman and a slow bowling option for the second Innings the top six still the same as our other two matches this season season so no change it’s James Russell taking one and Matt Bole number two the national cup is slightly different to the league format not sure why but it’s a 40 over match Red Bull and whites clearly power play at the start of the innings for eight overs where only two fielders allowed out then overs 9-32 four out with an extra one allowed out for the final eight overs [Music] [Music] I [Music] there [Applause] [Applause] seen not quite sure if that one carried Bo may be getting a stroke of luck but one thing I am sure of that black glab couldn’t care less if he’s inside the Rope [Music] so a strong start with both our boys at the top trying to make the most of only the two fielders out for the power play it ends after eight overs with the score 42 for no loss a little bit more interest from the dog that time Susan’s eyes light up and he hits that over midwicket for one bounce four yeah I [Music] Dido an incredible shot from Russ that one using his feet to come down to the pitch of the ball and unlucky not to be rewarded with a maximum these two really scoring well now [Music] and then Bo sweeps that one straight to deep Square it’s as if I knew it was coming hard luck for the overseas who time that really well either side of the man and Bole surely would have had another boundary never mind that’s the first Wicket lost Boer goes for 45 from 30 deliveries with a score at 69 for one in the 11th next man in we’ve got Connor Golding [Music] one [Music] [Music] play run up run up [Music] Connie three there run up run up run up run up that run oh oh is that Cano so 15 overs done and Skipper Walker will be pleased even though he’s barking orders from beside the camera it’s 87 for one Bross the next man to go another to be caught on the fence that one’s taken well down at long on and it brings next man Scotty lenham to the crease to join Connor would have been better your work quite mile [Applause] Connor bringing the slug sweep out twice this over and both of them get the slow motion treatment 20 overs done the halfway stage of our Innings and the score currently 111 for two plenty of time to build on this platform and a score well into the 200s looking likely lenam Falls for eight popping that one to midwicket evidence of the pitch being a little too Pace perhaps but a much needed Wicket for the hosts who will look to keep taking wickets from here on the score 114 for three after 21 next in and hopefully continuing where he left off yesterday is Mike cry [Music] where that [Music] you stayed a bit this morning Connor taking nicely to this new bowling plan and six there brings up his 50 here’s hoping it’s the first of many this year [Applause] [Applause] [Music] Golding cycling through the gears and with 12 overs left now he and cry have got us up to 172 for three 250 probably got to be the Target from here now [Music] Connor Falls for 65 bow trying to push that one away into the offside top Innings from K holding the middle order together for us 182 for four with skipper Joey Walker coming in to replace [Applause] him consistently well yes WS Miss times that one and skews it skybound no mistake from the beckingham Fielder taking that one Joe goes for nine and next to the crease we’ve got Rahul tangala [Music] one shy of his second 50 of the weekend Mike is struck on the pad and he’s given leg before annoying to fall that close but again he’s contributed well with the bat today wickets falling regularly here restricting the Run rate somewhat four overs left to bat and Aaron’s next in to hopefully give it a whack [Music] [Music] Rahul can’t quite get the elevation under that to clear the man and he’s the next man to go departing for four next in and now two left-handers at the crease is Ben lucking last 12 balls now then and they score 227 for 7 anywhere near 250 and that would be a really respectable total on this today [Applause] Aaron’s got to feel a little hard done by there caught by a worldy at cover our camera just about keeping up with the ball and it’s just visible behind the fielder in front but worth another look nonetheless K comes in and runs like a maniac to take three off that final delivery which ends up batting Innings on 244 for8 from the 40 overs boys really happy with that and think that was well above power on the pitch having won the toss two openers Russ and Bole setting things up and con and cry continuing through the middle overs only slight criticism is that no one was greedy and went big over to the bowlers though now and Connor who takes the brand new Jukes from this near end to kick things off was [Music] Ste second over as ever is the left arm pace of Aaron Brown [Music] program yeah I think they’re going to go going to reduce the number of areas have it centrally run now so have it run like still want our are [Applause] Connor pulls his fingers down the side of that one and as they say there’s only two types of leave first Wicket down for beckingham with the score at 17 for one [Applause] [Music] [Music] that one to George potentially carrying in the deep but Aaron follows up and gets his number two in the next over he gets the edge and Joe takes the catch with the gloves Conner takes a blow now the power play is done and it’s time for the Spinners first up it’s Ben lucking onto bow shortly followed by Rowan Nord who instantly has a close shout for lbw good signs this for the slow bowlers [Music] so 10 overs done Beckham are 48 for2 needing 197 from 180 deliveries [Music] [Music] [Music] sounds pretty good off the bat but molet man brownie runs around at long on to take the catch in the Deep lcking has his first and beckingham now 61 for3 change at the far end Rowan’s off and replaced by fellow kiwi Matty Bole that one just coming up short on Ben and ending the 21st over another change from Skip and it’s KV coming on from the far end [Music] Ben lucking has three in the over all of which bold reducing the hosts from 93 for3 to 95 for6 in the space of six deliveries an incredible over from the left arm spinner ending today with figures of eight overs four wickets for 29 runs and he’ll also be on a hattick the next time we see him bow so spinner number four of the day is Rahul and his leg spin hopefully picking up where Ben left off from this near end [Music] [Music] and rul joins the party too another Wicket bold beckingham now in a spot of bother after that flurry of wickets and sitting on 115 for seven from 28 overs they need 130 from the last 12 at a rate of just below 11s if they’re going to progress in the National today throw him back and that’s the textbook off spiners Wicket drawing the batsman forward and turning between bat and pad [Music] [Music] and it’s not long before he has his second this one lbw and now it’s just one more Wicket needed for [Music] victory’ been there before though [Music] what a player and Rahul strikes to win the match for us a comfortable 119 run Victory wickets very much shared around one each for the openers con and Aaron two for Rowan and Raul but pick of the bowlers and as mentioned the next time he bowls on a hattick Ben lucking with 4 for 29 thanks to beckingham for hosting there was a big crowd down for a memorial day and they really pulled out the stops by supplying the boys with a barbecue and plenty of beers after the match all the best for the coming season guys next round well this time last year we pulled the holders of the cup Beckley this time we’ve not been so unfortunate but we’ve got another mouthwatering tie away against rygate PRI and that video will be up next week before then though we kick off our league campaign on Saturday taking on newly promoted Worthing at home we hope to catch you next time but in the meantime if you could all like subscribe and all the rest of it we’ be massively grateful thanks all see you later

    1. Thanks guys for another game of cricket with the usual excellent coverage. Have said this before…your bowling attack alone is going to win alot of games this year. Joe has so much choice with so many allrounders, that the opposition will never know what to expect. Last point today..will Mike and yourself be playing this year. Thanks as usual from your big fan in Berlin…Dave

    2. If a chucker was picked in my team, I would leave the club! Really sad to see, seem to be seeing it more and more these days! Has cricket lost its ethics? I played for years, I never saw cheating like I see on almost all cricket club videos these days, up and down the country!

    3. Reigate Priory is a lovely ground, played there once and scored 70 odd so a happy memory for me, look forward to seeing you play down there.

    4. Wow McCrossan using all 15 degrees available. Reports are that the Boston Red Sox are interested in him as a relief pitcher!!! Since when can you just blatantly throw it these days and get away with it.

    5. Being from Australia and in our off season is awesome being able to watch club level cricket from another country. It’s strange seeing a bloke in senior cricket with a very suspect bowling action, it would take me 1 ball to question the umpires on his action.

    6. The ins this year all look elite. Wondering what’s happened to Ollie? I feel like he’d add some great balance to the team maybe instead of Cave

    7. Simply brilliant all round cricket from the boys. All the new players fit in perfectly and are up and running. Unfortunately chucking is appearing in this high standard of cricket also. I watch various cricket sites, and am amazed that chucking is so apparent, but nothing gets done about it. Where have these players learnt to bowl. Old school stuff for me, and correct over the shoulder bowling
