This is an EBR social ride with James, Mike and Lawrence joining me on a very wet and cold ride on Dartmoor. We set of from Bovey Tracey and headed up towards Haytor, but the weather took a turn for the worst. We had to rethink the planned route and shortened it by half. We were all soak to the bone and freezing cold by the end of the ride. My observations are the subject of this ride. So come along and enjoy another great cycling adventure.

[Music] hi guys welcome back and thanks for joining me on my Vlog again today so I’m heading my way into uh bbby Tracy uh for the EBR social ride I think there’s a a at least one person turning up but um the weather is not very good to be fair so I said we’ll meet down the 360 CF for a coffee and we’ll play it by here then we did kind of cancel because of the weather but um we decided to uh just come down here and see what it’s like really uh to see if it’s really worth um continuing because although the weather’s pretty good here to be honest it’s just spitting up on dartmore it’s a different story um but I’ll see I’ll see how Brave the rest of them are see if I want to go for it yeah it’s quite it’s quite um I’m just looking up at the weather up there fell all mate yeah so we started a ride here now guys uh this morning I’ve got Lawrence say hello Lawrence say hello James say hello Mike so we’re heading up he tour um we’re actually going up the hard way today don’t know why so as usual guys let’s go and see if we see anything in interesting on today’s ride yeah so the weather is not great to be fair as you can see it’s really cloudy it’s still a bit drizzly um but the boys are up for it so we might to shy away from a nice ride up on dartmore on a day like this it’s going to be a nightmare to vlogo so excuse any uh moisture on the lens [Music] nice [Music] [Music] I’ll keep it in eco mode to keep with you guys but it’s not raining certainly cloudy as you can see over there how you doing Mike what you what how many beatss you doing zero at the moment cut we want to check your pulse think need a new battery about 38 and then it went so I believe I’m dead or this is yeah there goes [Music] Mike beautiful views up here guys yeah what a [Music] day you’re enjoying it I know you are I’ll catch you up James all right Bud Here Comes Lawrence on his ebike racing up there keep going Lawrence yeah so this is one of the many Hills up we’ve got to climb so it’s about 38 M loop with about 3,800 F feet of climbing that’s quite typical for a a dark M ride so if you ride a 50 m Loop you’ll do 5,000 ft of climbing Etc here’s an unforgiving place dmore and with the fog rolling [Music] in can get quite daunting up here as well ah there’s the boys waiting for me now so that’s the first Hill out the way go guys so of the worst no that’s just the first we got the we got the worst to come so we’ve done 717 ft of climbing so we got about 3,000 ft more so thumbs up guys but the next climb to be fair we’ll eat into that 3,000 ft th up to busy breathing [Music] [Music] going to be a bit slippery [Music] oh here we go James yeah half way up you you got [Music] this see all the blue bows absolutely gorgeous right Bud right getting of clothing yeah just walking still climbing still testing the W this hill rain’s getting a little bit heavier now but we’re ring it so yeah so we’re just climbing up he tour we’re going to go down into uh as Spartan area then out towards uh belliver then back through Morton [Music] Hamstead what a route on a day like this another cattle [Music] grid got be so careful on those grids when they’re wet [Music] is a thought more [Music] ponies they beautiful [Music] oh that rain’s certainly coming down now I might have to put my jacket [Music] on before I get too wet [Music] [Music] look at the we [Music] guys just about see the boys back there brave souls and it’s getting foggier as we climb and W top of tour [Music] yeah they all rocked up there somewhere there they are top of vour woohoo he getting a bit wet so I think we’ve wisely decided to uh cut the root short and we guys uh due to the weather it is a nightmare filming in this weather to be fair that’s hay tour up there but you never see it hands with oh yeah don’t say that James yeah [Music] scary M’s enjoying himself yeah there home tour behind M up you can see this one yeah we can see this one could see wom hay tour [Music] [Music] thank [Music] you when did that car pass us it didn’t did it no come car car come forward a bit yeah good byebye coming up hey fellas all right all right yeah can’t believe it’s that chilly today my hands are freezing yeah on the face as yeah when you going at it it’s quite painful yeah all [Music] [Music] clear oh now bud it’s it’s no fun going fast there now not in this weather nothing freezing [Music] wo [Music] oh I uh could get anywhere could it being no no my hands are freezing yeah your hands C Man by I can’t believe that there you go can’t believe how the difference of uh leaving that car well we’re going to hit the trail now good down the ray Valley Trail to away from the traffic anyway so well we’re in water and Hamstead now we’re all absolutely saturated [Applause] woo oh branch so we’re on the ray Valley now saturated freezing cold [Music] [Music] freezing is it that’s a good idea [Music] we ain’t no fair where we cyclists are we no we’re roughing tough hard to this we are 1. Brilliant footage once again mate in extremely damp difficult conditions 👏 enjoyed the company if not the weather 😂😂👍🏻

  2. Glad you got your TCU unit all waterproofed. I ended up getting a second set of the same wheels that the Creo came with, which will be my road wheels. I'll keep the Pathfinder Pro's on these, which are now set up tubeless. Cheers!
