The Epic EVO is well-acquainted with the fact that the next ridgeline makes a perfectly good finish line too, offering an incredible combination of pedaling efficiency and impressive trail-taming capability to get you there faster.

While the Epic EVO sees a seemingly modest 20mm increase in suspension travel up front over its Epic stablemate and just 10mm out back, Specialized have worked overtime to make sure it’s been implemented in a way that’ll have you saying ‘Whoa!’ as soon as you hit your first stretch of singletrack.

Meticulously engineered to retain as much of the Epic’s standard-setting efficiency as possible, the EVO’s new suspension kinematics work in concert with the Rx XC shock tune to ensure you’re able to make the absolute most out of every inch of travel on tap, while still offering increased anti-squat characteristics for improved pedaling efficiency.

With plenty of practice at staying ahead of the curve, the Epic EVO now lays claim to the most capable version of Progressive XC Geometry ever to grace an Epic. It’s also more versatile than ever thanks to a new flip chip-equipped rear end that allows riders to adjust headtube angle and bottom bracket height to easily customise the Epic EVO’s handling characteristics.

Epic EVO’s flyweight FACT 11m carbon frame features heavy-hitting SRAM components and RockShox suspension for a package tailor-made for making miles disappear faster than ever.

Flip It To Rip It: Tune the ride of the Epic EVO’s FACT 11m carbon frame to match your preferred handling characteristics with flip-chip simplicity that allows riders to reduce the EVO’s headtube angle by half a degree while lowering bottom bracket height by 10mm.
The Reba RL doles out travel with a steady hand courtesy of RockShox’s Motion Control damper, while SoloAir adjustability makes dialing in suspension performance a breeze.
SRAM’s NX Eagle drivetrain is the benchmark for affordable high performance, delivering crisp shifting and a massive 450% gear range.

a [Music] [Music] [Music] hey folks good afternoon welcome to another episode of bike packing Adventures I’m currently going along the uh Chester Field canal and today is new bike day got a new toy [Applause] now in Workshop which count is at South Yorkshire I think so the reason why I’m heading east and not West into the p district is where forecast was better for head into nire and this part of the of England so I decided to go this way head to the PE District tomorrow [Music] [Music] in my neck of the woods coming to uh not is a great second best to the PE District there’s so many trails in this County it’s unbelievable lots of Woodland here in Nottingham sh I do intend to uh wild camp in it again everybody loves in new bik day and I’m no exception got something a little bit different this time though for suspension mountain bike this is the specialized epic Evo it’s taking a bit of getting used to no Shimano Parts on this bike whatsoever cassette rear cassette is a 50 to 32 up front uh for the time being I’ve got these pedals which werei around single sided uh SPD and for regular shoes they probably will come off cuz I’m not liking them I had them lying around so put them to use naturally got a dropper post got this saddle from uh specialized one of their own proprietory sadles the power body geometry some rock shocks Forks on the front these are reers I still need to learn all this here what uh front forks though I mean it’s quite easy lock unlock middle lock I guess but uh on the way shock we’ve got this interesting compartment for air and have to read into that I think you put more air in depending on your weight and things and it’s written down on the fork itself there so I need to do that at some point rear suspension don’t really know what I’m doing there uh I’ve just got it in the kind of arm position I think and hopefully that’s all you need to do as for other bits and Bobs you’ve seen it all before um got my Garmin 530 which will need to be replaced since I last showed you it I’ve actually got to the effort and slipped the excess of the zip tire there I’ve got quadlock for phone the Ze strap holding my two- Peak light pump new additions in the frame our FID loock I’ve got another one in order to put in there I’ve got my uh project 76 zip lock case in there and now it wouldn’t fit neatly with the FID loocks so that mechanism is going to go onto the uh gravel bike and make can doal with this for now so I’ve got a bower strap system going on so I’ve been spending a bit of money in a different gear Sheffield today buying pair of fidlock FID loocks and this uh o oam oam uh BW strap going to lock everything place on the down tube turns of shift in mountain bike so as you expect this one byy we’ve got level T shifters from swam and still got a sticker for warranty which I couldn’t QR scan so I need to sort that out comes the frame comes with a lifetime warranty so obviously going to apply for that what else can I tell you about this bike I bought it for two reasons one I can tell of which is the great PES Bas which is a it’s an ultra race adventure takes place in the southeast of England I did last year all this year I’m going to get myself a mountain bike and just have the comfort of you know riding through Trails this the north Downs that’s the tricky part uh the South Downs not too not nowhere near as bad actually really confident that having a for Mount B it’s just going to be a breeze on that as long as it’s not pissing down with rain the second reason I cannot tell you about I’m uh going to keep that one secret but you’ll find out this summer why I bought this mountain bike well it’s either going to be on the mountain bike or the gravel bike I haven’t decided yet but there’s there’s something I’ve got brewing for this summer it’s going to be unique in the sense that and be the first person person to uh do this anyway let’s get back to the Trails um I’m on the ncn number six about to head to the clumber park so let’s go through there let’s get on the Kitchener Trail at Sher Pines have a a bit of fun I didn’t realize all this existed and I could have reached it by a gravel bike okay [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] tell you what riding this by would be somewhat Clos to what was required by the grand Guan in the Islands prob a little bit Overkill but our tail would have been a lot closer yeah more gears more Comfort suspension I know where I am just don’t know how I got here I thought was coming through the uh thought was coming through the front entrance of share with pines but apparently not um so it looks like I’m going to be the kitchen Trail on the on the on the way back kind of thing if I can hook up properly so at the moment I believe I’m heading towards billthor and a southwall trail going do the loop around southwall I did make sure there was was a a co-op to go past whether I need or not there’s no thing and then uh I want to go through southwell there’s a little bit of Road near eing uh and then I fly West somewhere I don’t go on the road too long soon back onto the trails again so it’s very much a trail day today I’ll tell you what it was good I tell you it was good not having to get up super early this [Music] morning good today there only 100K and the days are long aren’t there so even though it’s 4:00 right now I’ve now now got 4 hours of light still to play with and I think I’m going to need it considering no lights on this bike trail after Trail after Trail that’s good thing aboutum sh you can avoid motorists for quite some time [Music] yeah the trails riding right now not what I bought the round back for so easy to gravel this but need a practice see how it feels get the bike for right which I’m not sure it is just yet uh yeah still working on that hopefully get it honed in over this weekend don’t forget to uh check out my next video be out in the p district on the bike again putting it for its H places putting it through its Paces properly and me I’m planning on visiting stage pole again see how this compares to uh you know riding on the gravel bike although to be quite honest I was quite Brave the first time I went down Sandage pole on the gravel bike so I was not really holding back but uh nevertheless see how much more comfortable it might be on this bike I see a section of the kitchen of trail on my left however it’s gone 6:00 to light left still 34k to do so I think I should avoid it on the left let’s do this one if it goes in a general direction then yeah see which one’s this over the turf over the top actually very thirsty though well this a bit boring bombs uncomfy got their strength maybe I haven’t recovered from last week maybe that’s what it is yep that’s way heading towards the rain although I think I should be fine it’s kind of blowing north and east first bit of a beaten single truck that I’ve been on today well that I’ve been on on this bike to be honest and now it’s uh rather suy so she’ll be making a left soon okay low enough gear get going I’d have been fine I’ve not been in the lowest gear yet [Music] more Trails lovely trails [Music] spent a lot of time yesterday around with the handlebar trying to get the Tilt right because of the position of these two here the shifter this one’s honky door it’s this one here it feels like it needs to be roll underneath a little bit more towards [Music] me now I’m looking over that rain thinking it’s getting closer no rain jacket again today I I live alone do I nearly put one in my pocket but then I realized I was rning low on pocket so it stayed at [Music] home way back is essentially the way it came reach the chest to field Canal follow it and find the van is mostly can be off [Music] road about the whole routs predominantly Offroad but PL been in the Ws this way night getting itching for a wild camping the rain seems to have stopped about 14k to go com to half s sun sets in half an hour it’s a bit close about a kilometer left of this journey time it right it’s getting dark it’s 2 plus 8 so that’s it back at the car cold been cold all day yeah good ride though did enjoy it and uh it’s just nice to go out on the new bike give it a quick world even if the trails were rather easy it’s practice nice easy one to get started yeah oh FY top on now cuz this ain’t the canaries oh hope you enjoyed watching this video folks as always give the video a thumbs up and uh if you’re not already do subscribe to the channel we got uh some great adventures coming up later this year he for you to miss out on those right from me take care until next time see you again soon bye bye [Music]

    1. Lovely new steed Richard! There's nothing like new bike day😊 That's a beauty!

You'll be able to find lots of videos here on You Tube, about setting up your suspension. It's well worth a little fettle, as the bike will respond soooo much better out on the trails. You'll need to buy a shock pump to add or take air out of your shocks. Happy pedaling🫡.
