[Music] here’s what happened round five of the FIA Motocross World Championship the mxgp of Portugal and AGA MX2 race one under wet rainy skies and a sodn racetrack Liam Evers grabbed his first Fox Hole shot of the campaign just behind him was the 516 of langfelder but as he grab tear offs on the downside of that first descent it was elinger who went through into second in the background yo Martinez fell through the first turn towards the end of the opening lap TBO beniston struggling with goggle issues that allowed this 96 of kuna to go by and the fast starting and high qualifying 489 of yans Wal Lucas coonan then fell trying to have a go at Langan Felder this was on the opening lap he was then down in 24th Place elinger stumbled momentarily at of second handing that advantage to Langan Felder as Coan fell again and then benon struggling with the conditions as the championship leader kaider wolf came through meanwhile kunan going down again this time he would go down to 18th and get back to 16 kaider wolf got the better of the second of the amaha guys Rick elinger to move into third the last few laps though a Titanic tussle between the defending Champion number 8 Ado and TBO beniston as they were fighting over fifth place Ado momentarily had it but then he couldn’t quite get the drive over this uphill step and with two laps to go and into the final lap it was beniston who went through and then just to rub Sal into the wounds Ado got tagged by back marker braser as he tried to find his way through Liam EV so won race one his second career Victory from langfelder and thewarf MX2 race to and a lot wetter especially down the start straight it was going to be survival of the fittest and it was elinger who grabbed that fox hole shot the first of the season for him the second career Fox Hole shot but by the time he came out of turn two Evers led the way langfelder was to his outside and up the inside hakan Haan on the JM Honda moved into third at the bottom of the first Hill around the outside of the 44 elinger Ado down on the first turn but langfeld on a charge into second it didn’t last long though before the end of this first official lap coming out of the turn inside line he went down immediately pointed to his collarbone the German was out of the race and for now out of the points Chase staying on two wheels somehow Oster Haren whil in second place but eventually faded to 19 that he didn’t finish the race as Lucas Konan fell again this time he would come home in eigh his teammate kaider wolf didn’t fa much better he came through in ninth place ever on the final lap though he tipped over from the lead didn’t cost him too much time Ado got the better of De Wolf Ado came home in seventh konam was eighth D wolf n Rick alzinger came in for a goggle change with a couple of laps to go as well just to ensure that second place more issues for Lucas coonan it was just one of those days for some riders in MX2 in fact in both classes today this was dwarf just running into trouble didn’t cost him any time he crossed the line in ninth and he continues to lead the championship but what a day for Liam Evers winning the ram qualifying race both races backto back and back-to-back Grand Prix victories having one at round four in trentino his dad Stephan Evers won around here four times Liam evz picking up his first pre Victory on this soil here in TR in Agoda Portugal Evers wins it then from elzinga and beniston so the Red Bull KTM outing the two Monster Energy yahar the wolf now leads the championship by 30 points over langenfelder who fa to score Evers 28 points behind he’s up to third three ahead of beniston and Lucas kunan fourth in the championship but for Liam evz his fifth Podium his 10th podium in his fifth career win yeah pretty speechless the only thing I had to say like I grew up riding the trial bike and in the woods so uh felt like home you know um I love riding the trial bike and then I think today that that really showed so um I had a lot of fun and and yeah taking maximum points is is super [Music] cool in mxgp race one Tim giser who was victorious in the ram qualifying race made it to the fox h Shot line ahead of everybody else for the first time this season f up the inside on the three the green cow saki hurling couple positions further back but by the time prao had ran wide and back into fifth place hurling had moved from fourth to third with a pass at the bottom of the hill on Paul’s Jonas on the 41 and then couple of Corners later into second as he fired past the three of Ferra halfway round the lap he surprised giser with a move for the lead as well and then the rain really started to fall the battle was on between these two at the head of the field and on lap four G thought he made it stick but once again hurling kept him at Bay the two giants of the sport the two five-time world champions going at it as if it was a dry track meanwhile pra fell on lap four from fourth place he came in for goggles and a fresh pair of gloves he rejoined the race but he would only finish 15th this time around after three attempts on the same part of the racetrack Tim giser went around the outside and did not cut back this time continued his run around the outside took the lead from herlings on lap seven and then a couple of laps later hurling out of the race with a technical issue that handed the second place position to Roman Ferra herlings couldn’t believe it nor to could the team he walked back disconsolate and disgruntled a big opportunity missed see were out of the race whilst in eighth around about the halfway mark as well prao came in for another pit stop lost a position on the final lap to Tim edberg in the process but it was Tim Geer with his second win of the Season his 86 career race win from Paul’s Jonas who took advantage of a mistake from fbra on the final lap that was your top three G Jonas and fbra [Music] as a result of his win and pra finish in 15th Geer headed into race two as a new championship leader but he went down at turn one got clipped by fev on the way through almost got nailed by Isaac gifton as well Paul Jonas spun up on the gate coming out of the of the drop but he was quickly up in second position prao ran wide there dropped back to Fourth and at the bottom of the first Hill guess what pra he fell so both the top two in the championship with a lot of work to do hurling LED Jonas was there in second fever was in third par slowly picked himself up and rejoin the race Jeremy sewer had issues but he was always in fifth position right from the very first lap on that cow sacking Ben Watson got caught by pra on his way through this was for 11th Place couple of laps later Watson would go out of the race VRA then just after the halfway point had problems in third that was the 17 of Cornelius tonell going past him meanwhile Geer running into issues every step of the way no Fender seat was coming loose he did stick at it though found his way past the tener for landron on his way to an eventual 10th place theen did get the better of him though with a couple of laps to go f thought he found his way past Cornelius tonell but the stubborn Norwegian Rider found his way right back he m aain that third place ahead of Ferra and see where hurling cross the line for his first race win of the Season his 195th career race win it wouldn’t get him on the podium though after that dnf in race one Paul’s Jonas who went 2-2 cross the line in second place and it was the standing construct Honda’s first ever Grand Prix win in mxgp six years after he last won in MX2 at the round of mat Basin Great Britain tonell hanging on for third your Podium then this weekend Jonas winning with with two second place finishes beverra second with a 34 Geer with a 110 bogus raning out there in fourth place as well giser now leads a championship he came from 13 points down to lead by 14 he’s a new leader prao second fever 18 back herlings 22 behind the Frenchman and Jonas six further behind him but it was all about Paul Jonas today he was Victorious on the top step but even bigger than that the red plate has changed hands now in the hands of Tim Geer and team M ji yeah it’s uh like this year overall the main goal was to be consistent enjoy the riding enjoy the racing and we work really hard in the winter time in offseason me and the team uh improved a lot from the last year and uh it’s paying off you can see the results and now it’s also the main goal stay consistent and I really enjoy the MTH today and uh I have to give massive massive shout out to the all the team all the supp uh supporters and uh yeah my wife at home uh I’m looking forward to go home [Music]

    2. Wow, what a turnaround in general classification 🤯 looks like many MX2 riders have No clue that in the mud you can’t constatntly go full gas aa you will end on the ground

    3. Im shocked everytime i listen to Malin explaining the race, how bad he is in doing it.
Try to compare Mxgp video crew with Ama in Usa…
      Impossible to match.
After 2 minutes of Malin speaking,it makes me wanna shut down the tv

    4. Kudos to Jonass!
But I am amazed about commentators with such a long history of commenting and not willing to give up english pronunciation of foreign names. Jonass should be pronounced as Ionass.
