a sport day right so we are doing toour M 2024 that are four routes of 75k uh 125 175 and 205 to M goes through the 10 borers of Greater Manchester with some massive climbs we are not still 100% sure of which distance we’re doing because I need to get back because I am going somewhere very very North very very very early tomorrow and I still need to pack uh so we will see Stevie steevie what do we doing we don’t know that we don’t know that yet what was that clim a cof hey R ready for Fred we’ve got lucky with the weather you know it’s a bit chilly the past few years of this have been torrential rain oh it’s not the theat dream just outside old traford it once was a the dream Stevie said it want it once was a theater of Dreams any nighted fans say hello in the comments 14 miles of uh flat nice sey flat are you ready for this I think this is the first time this year Stevie what in the UK what’s happening and guess what I’ve got under here I’ve got Sun cream on you it’s going to be sunny we’re in Treasure Lanes now and we are heading for the hills the route is actually all of the four routes are really really good 43k and we’ve done this is the climbing I know you you fed up of me talking about cims but I like the clim I’m giving you an idea so that when you come and do it uh 241 M uh we’ve got the first little food stop I think on the big one there’s six food stops so yeah actually talked a lot about this but spores I’m kind of a little bit like hit and miss on them I’ve got to really really like the roote and the charity that they are supporting and this particular one this is the reason why I’m doing it is this was made up and set up as a not for profit so basically the money that he’s raised from this all goes to Charities around greater Manchester and I just think it’s a really nice way of supporting that doing a brilliant b r getting the best of the climbs in grank caner Canary what I’m about believe Manchester it’s not LLY again the um the best climbs in Greater Manchester and helping some good Charities oh my gosh are you looking at this part from the pootles look at this where are we are we in France oh no we’re in the UK cuz of the car what a view so green and M all that rain has been worth it to see it like this maybe maybe we are just stopping to admire this view because look at that do you know what if I was going to do sa for this could potentially be 100K for me I never ever come here I always go the other way it’s beautiful isn’t it look at little horsey weather’s making day so yesterday actually we’re we’re bailing on the longest one because my legs are a little bit sore I did a part run yesterday and a little bit sore but now we’re doing our own specific custom route because we’ve mixed the roots and now we’re off the route we change routs too late we did change Roots have a look where should we go then lamin how can we get lost on a sport teeth only we could get lost on a sport teeth to be fair we are mixing roots and we didn’t check in time trying to switch between two courses that aren’t obviously the same route and oh I don’t really know what what we’re doing come up this climb we need to go back down it we are definitely making our own course but it’s good it’s all good I know what this little booger is this 20er is wer as low the who’s going for K man here you bloody Nutter you missed it you need to go back I think it’s that corner everyone’s getting the warm warm stuff off because it is sunny and we we’re going WTH low I think it’s it says 1.1k and it’s got a couple of 20% sections in it look at those little carves carves we’re in the slow he claiming some Walkers is quite steep to be honest it’s kind of look carrying his back not even rolling it are you okay is your bike okay oh what do you need need a hang we at the top now good another food or Stevie’s in there go on Stevie oh four of the day we we’re going to do the 200 we’re going to say we’ll just set off see what the 200’s like and it’s quite a tight um time cut off and so because I’m going I’m actually going to Scotland very early in the morning and I’ve not packed anything so I need to get back so I was like this one probably going to be a bit of a push so we’re like let’s just do the 120 it just means that we can do this Stevie he is enjoying the sunshine and then when we’ve been sat I’ve had how many people have come over like how nice is that made my day and I’m like Joe if I was racing around doing the 200 I wouldn’t have had that and the other thing is I do think we have these expectations and I think oh we always sign up to like potentially the biggest one or like I do as well and I put on my put the pressure on myself to do these things and I’m like you know know what it is nice us to do a shorter event and another one that I think is a really nicer actually a nicer event is like sport f is the muor the 312 the 225 is just a way nicer route um than the 312 and sometimes it’s like you know what it’s nicest to be able to stop chill have Cafe stops not be ring around but equally I do like having a little a little dig we just saying it’s that well I’ll tell you at the end like how I’m finding the whole thing actually I’ll just tell you now I think it’s blooming fantastic it’s a really good route and good advertisement for like really lots of the good stuff in the Northwest you another five we are in no rush so nice oh it has been a while since we’ve had this sunshine sunshine bikes grass want to fall sleep what have you got these for Stevie bu yeah my it’s so cute now riding through my beloved Green Fields dub Stones is that way though and we’re turning around I thought I thought for a second why we go dub Stones we are not that would have been amazing but we don’t go that way the big rout does go up do stones but we decided to change it and that my friend is s this is the best part I think of the whole ride just climbed the other side of new hey and these are all my lovely local roads now so like 30k to get back home and the last climb is up ashy Valley look how good this looks today windmills aren’t even moving well wind turbines to monk complete okay little wrap up of we did the 125 route I will say I’m not normally a huge fan of sportifs however I do actually think this is probably one of the best sport te I’ve done in terms of the signs so many signs really good food stops although I would add I want to bring like some salty light and pretzels that would be my only addition and the Riders actually there’s so many riders I think because there’s so many different length of events it brings so many different Riders here so there are people that looked very new to cycling like you know they’ve got trainers on um just like t-shirts and stuff and then you’ve got people that are like doing the 200 in like full like fullon cycling gear so varied we other I didn’t mention that was good was the roote the route was so good it took so many different like corners of Greater Manchester that it was just and I’ve never done all those all those different separate places in one ride so I’m very impressed great great route great roads great people great signage great oh got some great signage that was some boming good signage all right goodbye small we go who said the what did you Ang on what did you say I forgot it the more Hills you get the better you get no he said the more he said The more Hills you get the better you baguette and cuz he’s been on a about he wants a baguette I’m like we’ll try and find you a baguette you like Li it need to clean it predict what’s going to happen prevent it and protect yourself oh my

    1. Finally it’s coming on really fine sunshiny weather … woo-hoo! I’m starting to log some proper road rides. My plan this year is to keep having fun banking loads of km’s, stay healthy and not break any more bones! PS: You’ll be glad to know that I’ve finally added dates to my ride snacks … thanks so much for that tip … they’re delicious!

    2. Stevie is correct, MUFC memories are indelible, but Old Traffird is in tatters. You rode by shortly before the torrential rains caused rivers inside the stadium. Hope SJR can fix the club!

    3. Great vlog Katie & Stevie.
Even the Pro's can't be bothered certain long Stages, Chill out Central for 1st hour or so sometimes 🙂
Keep it enjoyable, grab some rays, while they last !
Well done doing the Park run.

    4. KB–it's impossible to respond to your comments; they're auto-deleted by YT. So yes, Old Trafford stands flooded yesterday (5/12/2024), right at the final whistle.

    5. A brilliant sportive and a great day on the bike. I could have quite easily stayed on the grass at Werneth longer. Your video captured the event perfectly. Such good fun.
