GNARLY DOWNHILL MTB TRAILS ON A PURE SLOPESTYLE BIKE – WILL IT WORK?

Gnarly downhill MTB trails on pure slopestyle bike – will it work? I ride my Canyon Stitched 720 short travel mountain bike with one brake on downhill trails at UK’s biggest bike park and try to survive, but will it work?

I’m out in Wales with the Canyon team riding as many spots as possible and today I hit the trails of bike park wales, UK’s biggest bike park on my Canyon slopestyle bike which only has one brake, 60 psi in the tyres and rock hard suspension but how will it perform on black downhill runs? After making it to the bottom I switch to my enduro MTB and ride with world cup downhill racers, Dante Silva and Henri Kiefer at full speed. We get epic GoPro runs and hit huge jumps all day before finishing off on the van rd dirt jumps!! Would you ride this?

my slope style bike has one brake 80 psi tires and the hardest suspension known to man will it survive the UK’s biggest bike park let’s find out hello everyone today is going to be epic cuz I’m out here at Bike Park Wales the biggest bike park in the UK but I’ve decided to go for my slopes s bike today with one break to make it even more exciting let’s get into it all right let’s start things off straight away then on end to the dragon this is a pretty big jump line here it’s on the slope you’re can to have loads of speed waa W huge wo it’s insane let’s switch lines w w into the new one oh this is smooth and dreamy on the jump bike Louie behind oh so fast on the jump P I just spotted Ben Deacon in the front there to try and catch up on the jump bike whoa this is so good this track I think we can catch them he’s catching me oh no huge y oh my goodness DS I was trying to chase you down there then yo how you doing good mate how’s it been how are you yeah mate we’re all good boy y all good we just survived the top part of bike part tril but they were fairly smooth Trails it was super fast in this thing though the smaller jump bikes with the Pumped Up tires and stiff suspension just go so quick on these dry Trails here but we want to step it up a bit we’ve come over to this black line here this is co not Dull I can’t actually remember what it’s like but it is a black looks down hilly and it definitely isn’t what you’d want to ride this bike on so let’s try it right here we go into the black run one break oh my God this is oh oh so death oh my God this is oh it’s so bumpy I mean as it should be tires still hanging on strong though oh l oh my God that is so early there what is this oh no oh yes that’s real good right let’s try this bit into the Jump Zone then yeah cool bumpy as possible oh no that’s oh oh oh this isn’t even a track is it oh right stop it that’s insane that was actually quite good on this right there’s a jump section here Lou which is going to be more friendly little zut laws free ride [Music] bit of a pedal oh my dreams jump bike down from the top was so good insane fast it got a bit sketchy on the bumps there like obviously about a front brake and the hardest suspension ever oh and the wing foot tires from goody year but they were still gripping on didn’t get a puncture well pumped but are actually here to hang out with the canyon Collective crew they’re down there on real bikes meant for this sort of terrain so we’re going to go and switch up get involved with the boys have a sick day come on back up for more right so we’ve met up with some of the squad here you going to follow me Henry yeah right Dan take at the back rest of the boys behind them let’s go AC DC such a loose day today I don’t think whales has gotten rain in like over a week now on the little oh tight Corner oh this is well good W oh straight into some rocky Tech this is where I’m glad I have the downhill bike for sure oh it went a weird way then oh yeah careful with the roots I can definitely tell this place would be sketchy if it was wet uhoh heck yeah super good TR boys I’m starting to get like weak sweaty hands no gloves that was good you like the bike park hands yeah just looks hot in here hey ready then cool ready to go here we go let’s get it boys I’m going to show these boys the little secret line here slow it down a bit did you do it yeah that worked out real good yeah one dude yes bro that was quite scary if you didn’t know where to go though I wanted to jump already yeah yeah like the first one yeah going for a bit of an overtake session now you two lead and then we’ll follow and try and see kick you off in the I mean um overt KCK off uhoh here we go W that’s not to the left we’ve done Lou can to get Elliot oh yeah oh yeah what we’re real close to each other right now woo oh off the track yes oh no more oh my god wow so many overtakes well yes got the boys in toe Henry on the Eve in front driving oh yo this is well good um that’s not good getting rough here them guys are flying through there what the hell woo oh that’s nuts oh it do even know dos wow yes boys that’s so sick to see that’s a mix of roughness how fast you just go into the bits I hate you’re like rough one yeah wow that’s sick dropping oh my God that was gly I almost overrode that yeah but like I was at a 400 almost we just got back down from sick shredding here a bike park Wales it’s actually the best place ever and especially in the WEA was like this it’s been amazing that’s not the end because down the road there’s van road trails which is some dirt jumps we want to get the downhill boys getting steezy sideways and seeing if they can do some tricks let’s go have a look at that and see what happens all right so we’re fired up because we switched over to the dirt jumpers we’re out van road trails uh we had some good times on the bike park now we are ripping some dirt jumps [Music] train pick it up pick it up pick it up pick it up you see the drippy f it up in my car it the bag I get the you see the drip f it up in my car and get it up the back get the it up it been on the neighborhood all in your I Ain Never Scared like bone Crush boy got don’t fear my bus take NOS feels like I don’t have no fls snakes in the grass cut those off your squad sh might Bros break sweet go Shade that’s a no no no go high go low low low like spin in a 644 cash money like4 like A2 No Sleep pick it up pick it up pick it up pick it up you see the [Music] dripp the dirt jump session was epic it was so cool to ride with the dirt jump Boys on steep takeoffs getting sideways and doing a few tricks there unfortunately it’s the end of this video but in the next one we’re going to be at The Forest of Dean for the canyon Collective super
