The Oxford Bike Works Rohloff Tour Disc

hello this is a video showing Ian’s uh light blue uh raof tour disc it’s been built in 26inch wheel format and has drop handle bars which is slightly unusual compared to most of um the bikes we build but but uh as a custom builder we build what uh what customers want and and and we give them um as much help as we can realizing their their own Ambitions on that um we’ve gone for a silver transmission um which is unusual but but the customer specified that and it complement the blue paint very well um for the handlebars we’ve used the van Nicholas for raof handlebar which splits apart and allows the the roll Hof shifter to be fitted at the top of the handlebar and we’ve C uh coupled that with some Brooks brown leather look uh synthetic tape which is both very weatherproof and lasts a long time for the brakes uh we used uh the trp spike um sort of long pull long cable pull caliper we think this is a really good option for for drop bar use because the clearance between the pad and the and the rims is slightly larger um we’ve gone for the MKS silvant tour next pedal um which is top of the range and uh he asked us to fit a um a super capable 60 kg Urus kickstand which will hold the bike up fully loaded with um with 40 k of paneers should the need arise as far as the uh rack is concerned this is a tubus liano um Titanium rack super super lightweight very nice to look at very weatherproof uh and um really adds a bit of class to the to to the overall silver and blue look uh and to finish off the spec we have a Jill bertud aravis saddle um which uh is very similar to the Brooks except that it’s much easier to replace and remove the the um the the the leather C covering when it wears and stretches um overall that’s the the main specification of the bike and thank you for looking
