[Music] the first Real Mountain Stage of the Jalia 3,500 M of climbing 152 km and everybody getting ready to sign in and get going after a hard day on the time tral bike stage eight began in spolo a five-star stage the gateway to the appenines and it’s into the appenines they would go three big classified climbs plenty of unclassified climbing as well an uphill start and certainly an uphill finish the 15 km long climb to prati previously used in adrio not visited by the Jalia since 1975 T poacha was in the pink jersey a day after he’ extended his lead in the general classification over 2 minutes now on both Martinez and Thomas in second and third place they switch places the night before and it would be geog steinhauser looking to upset everybody who’ be one of the first to attack EF education easy post also going and it became really difficult to control at the beginning for UA Emirates alaf FIP was up the front as well no break had gone by the time they got to the first serious climb of the day and it’s there where the Breakaway would try and force the issue UA Emirates got bod’s back a couple of their Riders struggling out the back and then they were slowly trying to control things ahead ran Bal in the Breakaway as well as Michael store gin aser dangerous on the GC at over 5 minutes as well maybe a possibility to hand over the Jersey certainly give the stage to the Breakaway but it would not be taken just under 120 K to go and it be difficult to see the break getting organized finally groups would come together that after Gesa had taken the maximum points on the forka capist then a couple of groups did come together bit more rolling terrain up and down yes but nowhere near as mountainous as the opening or the end Sheffield was involved p p narz as well the Ecuadorian Champion already a jot stage winner of this race UA Emirates controlled but they really didn’t let the Gap grow to anything beyond two and a bit minutes not full cooperation either in the Breakaway shinowa tried to restart the party and reignite things inside the final 45 K ala Philip struggling Demari there also not quite at the races compared to the others remember a lot of energy have been expended not just in the first week but just getting into the Breakaway getting up the robers a success for some they wanted more but 14 men were going to never have a prayer going into the final climb the Gap continued to reduce and was onto the final climb less than half a minute and the first victims in the GC group behind plat going backwards he’d soon be joined by the likes of Lopez and lenko and the breakway whittling down one by one just 21 seconds with 13 K to go Alexandro ver a former sixth place finisher in the under 23 judal would have a go more Riders would be caught including Sheffield would work really hard for the Inus grenadiers just over 20 seconds with 10ks to go more victims behind Val would give it one last throw of the dice that with The Gap reducing to just over 10 seconds he managed to pull something out as well no danger in the GC hoping for a stage win like his brother had achieved the year before ran Bal had managed to hold on in the peltin until just under 6ks to go but he’d lose time and his GC challenge was out the window the stage challenge ended for Bak pant with fourks to go and going into the final 3ks Rafa mic remained not too many bodies in the Madza Group G Thomas was there though he had a teammate in the shape of man the first attack came from TI just under 2ks to go and it be poacha himself would Chase it down ton arensman would try as well pachar not letting him go anywhere it was clear as it had been for a while that he and his team were Racing for the win sto WI a magnificent ride despite being in the Breakaway on his way to moving up in the GC and it came to the final few hundred met attacks deterred Micah returning to start the lead out Danny Martinez poised and ready to go he would Sprint but pogacha would be sprinting faster the man in pink getting in front already a two-time stage winner etching a bit of his name already onto the trophy The Never Ending trophy for the jro winner and it’s a never ending pogacha show at this year’s jro three stage wins in Eight Second Place going to Martinez OK Conor taking third a two second Gap to the rest and quite a few movements in the top 10 in the general classification a Mountain Stage ridden at full gas won by T Pacha and a 10th victory of the season for pink POG that after just 18 days of compeition utterly dominant majorly impressive Bater Martinez okona tiberi Thomas that was the order of the top five with Rubio ER Brooks Ironman St and bod in the top 10 yet more proo moments for Pacha he’s now been in charge of the jro for a week he leads by 240 from Martinez 258 now the Gap to Thomas H the Brooks Tiber Fortunato Rubio arensman all moving up one more stage before the first rest day that is the longest stage so far and it’s one of the longest stages of this jeto for the first time we go above 200 km it’s all the way down to Naples Napoli for the third year in a row on paper one for the Breakaway in Naples though there are traps around every corner follow it as always on Eurosport Discovery Plus or if you’re in the US on max [Music] [Music]

    1. Обалдеть. Джиро только началась, а у Погачара уже такой отрыв в генеральной классификации!😇

    2. First weakness for Pogacar! only able to gain 2 sec on Thomas and st as 2 other on a mountain top finish! He might be getting tired and is a good time to attack UAE second week
! the real race is about to begin

    3. How many attacks did he stop without even getting out of the saddle? I was wondering why he wasn't saving some energy for the Tour, but now realize that this is what saving energy looks for him.

    4. Pogacar needs to back off a little . His drug use is showing . Just let another guy or 2 win . Don’t be so greedy or you’re going to be found out !

    5. They shouldn’t be racing on the road, it should be on a private circuit, the locals are sick of the racers and the amateur cyclist who use the local roads as a race track before and after these events. Ban this now!
