The Ligier European Series is a series organized by the European Le Mans Series (ELMS) during the same meetings as the ELMS and Michelin Le Mans Cup. It is reserved for the Ligier JS P4, sport prototype category, and the Ligier JS2 R, GT category. It is contested over six heats across Europe. With drivers coming from all over the world it is the first step of the ACO endurance pyramid. It offers young talent a chance to move up the endurance ladder thanks to a unique prize money scheme of €150.000 for the Ligier JS P4 champion(s) to enter the Michelin Le Mans Cup in the LMP3 class the following season, and €100.000 for the Ligier JS2 R champion(s) to participate to the Ligier European Series’ next season in the Ligier JS P4 category.
