this is a video i made back in 2023 in the summer. I made a lot of friends that day and it was really a fun trip. so yeah, I’d say Hungary is as safe as it gets. The titles a little bit just to draw you in to be honest, the real topic of the video was wanting to go for a bike ride down by the Danube and have a little adventure and I happened to tell a tale and meet some interesting characters along the way.

afternoon ladies and gentlemen and welcome to Leányfalu as the dandelion dust floats ever so gently to the ground we are here beside the Duna the Duna part as they call it in Hungarian we have our bike and we’ve got the last little slice of afternoon into early evening at our disposal opening petals [Music] upon a time there lived the man on a boat betwixt the island and szentedre his house was perched on the bank of the river but he preferred spending time out in his little dinghy he felt the currents of the earth closer when he was in water something that had always been the case ever since he was a much younger lad yes when he was a young lad he simply loved coming down to the murky and damp and Mucky spots beside the Duna to listen closely to the Earth and all its attendant sensory projections [Music] [Applause] well we interrupt the story to bring you a bite of Heaven oh my God I was just biking by this place I saw this chimney and uh the ukrainians of and their food is unbelievable always a good sign when you you can find an Arany aszok bar okay all right I think this is my new favorite bar friendly bartenders they’ve been there for 20 years Lupa seet Lupa Island right across the way you can do boat trips around all sorts of activities really just terrific terrific terrific it’s nice Cheers Cheers [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] all right where were we we got a little bit side railed or derailed by the ukrainians our story was fixated upon a man who lived in a red boat and who grew up beside the Duna and he always felt more at home within the water than without he loved the water he loved the calm gentle s sh [Music] SP nice nice yes yes come KCK up press press press yes no no these guys believe it or not are also from Ukraine where are you guys from where are you from [Music] we saved the best slice of the danube for last let’s turn off the light here and just enjoy in all its Glory this sweet sweet sweet Stillness I would have said police police police oh yes I know it’s grainy pixelated and fuzzy but as soon as the police leave off the seat ancestral you can see almost where the Roman watchtowers would have been these murky murky river banks home to stories tragedies romances and dramas for time in Memorial and that’s all we have time for today here on these duna Adventures …we’ll see you soon

  4. I was married to hungarian girl for 15 yrs she grew up in Zebegeny at the Bend…. her parents still live there.. sadly we are divorced now but I had such wonderful memories of that area…..I hope to visit Hungary in the upcoming year by myself….. I loved it so much.

  5. I really don't want to comment on politics or Orbán or Ukraine, but I am sure that Hungary is very safe to visit.
