welcome to NTD good morning here at today’s top stories dramatic scenes across the Midwest as powerful tornadoes wreak havoc and upro lives at least five people were killed including a baby in the devastating storms we have footage of the aftermath President Biden calls Israel’s prime minister to review hostage and ceasefire talks and Israel’s plans for an offensive in Rafa and secretary blinkin extends his trip in the Middle East emphasizing the need to contain the conflict the latest in the Israel Hamas War Pro Palestine and pro-israel protesters Clash at the University of California in Los Angeles how colleges across the country are tackling a wave of protests counter-protests and anti-Semitism the Biden Administration has announced the creation of an AI safety panel the federal government’s first major effort to regulate the industry and a tornado ripped through Nebraska knocking out power but one couple didn’t let that stop their wedding he their [Music] story this is NTD good morning live from our Global headquarters here are Evelyn Lee and Kevin Hogan welcome to NTD welcome everyone today is Monday April 29th and we’ve seen some intense Twisters as we just heard especially in the Oklahoma region our hearts really go out to those um that are affected and the victims yeah and a quadriplegic man in Nebraska had to have his wife and son jump on top of him just to protect them when the roof is coming down W yeah all right so here’s our top story devastating weather in the midwest this weekend at least five people died in Oklahoma including a four-month-old baby after dozens of twisters swept the Southern Plains and TI’s Daniel Monahan has more on the storms which also injured over a 100 people Oklahomans were left to pick up the pieces after Nature’s Fury was Unleashed on the tornado prone state uprooted trees were ripped out of the ground and launched into houses an eerie picture as a large truck can be seen lying unnaturally across a bed of vehicles a storm caused this house in Oklahoma to catch fire here a wall of one home is lying on the ground an unsettling image the now walless house rendered uninhabitable by The Tempest flooded streets in Oklahoma after massive storms hit the area left Vehicles stranded this gas station in Marietta was right in the path of a tornado a tractor trailer here is caught up in the power lines Oklahoma governor Kevin stit declared a disaster emergency for the state on Sunday President Biden offered the federal government support to help with the recovery efforts oh no communities in Nebraska and Iowa were left reeling after powerful storm struck on Friday a tornado plowed through Suburban Omaha demolishing homes and businesses as it moved for Miles through farmland and into subdivisions residents are left to try to put things back together James stennis says they’re just taking it day by day you come up upstairs U and see that you have no house emerging from the basement you know your home but you’re actually homeless but stennis says their faith will help them travel down the Hard Road Ahead a tornado also slammed into the Iowa town of Minden completely destroying over 40 homes storm warnings for high winds heavy rain and hail were in effect on Sunday for more than 47 million people stretching from East Texas North through Illinois and Wisconsin the National Weather Service reported 38 possible Twisters hit the area the worst of the storms rolled through central Oklahoma on Saturday into early Sunday morning spreading into Northwest Texas Western Missouri in Kansas the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management said area hospitals reported around 100 injuries Twisters destroyed or damaged dozens of structures including the hospital in the town of Marietta although no injuries were reported there more than 20,000 customers in the state remained without power as of Sunday evening Daniel Monahan NTD news yeah I saw a video of those volunteers stepping up to help out yeah absolutely but we’re moving on now to election topics a new poll has former president Trump continuing to hold an advantage over President Biden the CNN poll also says a majority of Americans now view Trump’s term as president as a success with a broad majority saying Biden’s has so far been a failure Trump support in the poll among registered voters stands at 49% in a head-to-head matchup against Biden who has 43% looking back 55% of all Americans now say they see Trump’s presidency as a success while 44% see it as a failure meanwhile 61% say Biden’s presidency so far has been a failure while 39% say it’s been a success Republicans now are more unified around the idea that Trump’s presidency was a success than Democrats are that Biden’s has been one overall 92% of Republicans call Trump’s time in office a success while 73% of Democrats say Biden’s term has been a success so far among Independents 51% say Trump’s presidency was successful while 37% see Biden’s as a success and more on the upcoming presidential election a lot is riding on the minority vote to discuss this we hear from Mike Leon he’s our contributor and the director of policy and strategy at the free and equal elections Foundation as well as the host of the can we please talk news commentary podcast good morning to you Mike thanks for being here Trump’s campaign launched the Latinos for Trump and black voices for Trump are year or more before the 2020 election but AP reports that there haven’t been any minority Outreach programs launched yet in this election cycle is that delay going to cost Trump or will his track record speak for itself heev good to see you first and foremost as always you know uh it is interesting that nothing has been launched yet but I know the former president obviously has done some interviews with some Spanish language media you saw the Biden campaign is trying to do that as well too as the as the president currently did an interview with univ deisa a few weeks back you know I live down here in Miami right so this is the gateway to Latin America this is where a lot of Latino voters from South America come in Colombia Venezuela Ecuador you know that Corridor and then obviously here in Miami dat you have the Cuban vote which is always overanalyzed with respect to what happened in the 2000 election and then what has has happened in 2016 and 2020 which is the Trump campaign and the Trump presidency has made inroads with voters that are specifically of Cuban or Puerto Rican descent winning some more of the counties or at least making them a little bit lower in the percentage wi that the Democratic party has won so I don’t know if it’s going to cost the Trump campaign right now but I know that the president the former president excuse me is trying to do things from an from at least a visibility standpoint with doing interviews or you saw after recently in the New York trial he went up to Spanish Harlem and hit up a bodega that was around there to talk to voters in that area so they are trying to do things from a public uh standpoint but we’ll see if the Outreach programs end up hurting them later on with people on the ground yeah and thanks for covering how Trump’s camp cign is reaching out to the Latino voters and according to presidency. us ucsb.edu Trump is done a lot for the black voters he’s boosted funding for these HBCU reduced their sentences under the first steps act and also they’ve saw unprecedented levels of success in terms of his economy now usually the Democrat Party picks up a lot of support from Latino and black voters why is that and has Biden done enough to keep their support or has Trump done more this is the the $664,000 question Kevin I you know there’s there’s thoughts and I can only speak to the Latino part let’s go to the Latino part first conservatives and specifically in the Latino household the older parents are always more conservative more religious so they identify as conservatives whereas the kids become more Progressive Democratic leaning earlier on until you know they start to actually make money and then they realize you know they don’t want to lose some of that money and so they start to flip over to being conservatives and so I think this is going to be so overanalyzed this election cycle because the poll that you just showed with Independence and Democrats Etc uh and how they were all kind of favoring the Trump presidency as a success and things like that well this election cycle Latinos are going to make up about 15% of the electorate here at least the eligible voter electorate right and black voter support in 2016 for Donald Trump was only about 8% according to exit polls and now there’s recent polls that shows he could get up to 177% of support which would be the highest for any Republican that’s been a presidential candidate if you see those numbers for the former president starting to swing in that direction I mean I think Democrats have always taken advantage of and that’s always been the moniker for Democratic strategist is that we can’t just rely on Latinos and blacks to come out and vote for us we have to go out there and Garner their vote what are we doing from a policy perspective and the economic you know uh policies right now of the Biden Administration May hurting or maybe helping but maybe the Democrats are not telling the good story as to why it is helping and I think that’s why you’re seeing those polling data starting to show that blacks and Latinos are more likely to either Vote for This candidate or the worst part would be voter apathy and them not voting at all or voting third party well Mike thanks so much for bringing light to this contributor Mike Leon director of policy and strategy at the free and equal elections Foundation thank you thanks Kevin President Biden hosted journalists at the the annual White House correspondent dinner Saturday night where he took swipes at his rival former president Trump outside the event Pro Palestine demonstrators greeted guests with chance accusing Biden of being complicit in genocide entity’s Jeremy sanberg has more Joe Biden President Biden used humor to alleviate concerns about his age at the White House correspondence dinner Saturday night it’s been a year since I delivered this speech and my wife Jill was with me tonight was worri how I do I told her don’t worry just like riding a bike she say that’s what I’m worried about Biden is on course to face former president Trump once again this November polls show one of Voters top worries is Biden’s age the 81-year-old is the oldest president in US history Biden brushed off these concerns calling Trump immature in comparison and yes age is an issue I’m a grown man running against a six-year-old Trump reacted on truth social by calling President Biden crooked Joe and saying the event was quote an absolute disaster Biden’s tone changed when speaking about what’s at stake in this year’s election he highlighted the role of the press at a time he said is rif with sensationalism I’m sincerely not asking of you to take sides but ask you to rise up to the seriousness of the moment move past the horse race numbers the Goa moments and the distractions the sides shows Biden also mentioned Russian president Vladimir Putin urging him to release American journalist Devon gershkovich who has been imprisoned in Russia for over a year the event was hosted by Saturday Night Live cast member Colin Joost he poked fun at the attendees including correspondents from The New York Times and Fox News several celebrities including actresses Scarlett Johansson and Rachel Brosnahan and rapper quo were also in attendance but outside the Hilton Hotel the scene was far from light-hearted hundreds of demonstrators held banners en chanted about the journalists killed in Gaza they encouraged journalists to boycott the event and shouted down Administration officials as they entered every time that media [Applause] every Biden avoided the large protest at the front of the hotel by arriving through a back entrance where he was greeted by smaller groups of protesters calling for a ceasefire Biden’s campaign has been plagued by protests against his support of Israel a high-profile fundraiser in New York’s Radio City Music Hall in March was disrupted by protesters along with his State of the Union Address the White House Correspondents Association was founded in 1914 and has held a dinner nearly every year since 1921 to celebrate the reporters who cover the presidency Jeremy Sandberg NTD news former president Trump has endorsed Riverton Utah mayor Trent Stags to replace Senator Mitt Romney in workers in the Gaza Strip and pro Palestine and pro-israel protesters is clashed on the campus of UCLA in Los Angeles on Sunday this comes at demonstrations spread across college campuses in the country as the size of the pro Palestinian encampment at UCLA expanded in recent Days Counter protesters have become increasingly vocal and visible on the campus a university spokesperson said violence that broke out Los Angeles mayor Karen bass spoke to the media on Sunday well I mean as mayor people have the right uh to for Free Speech but you know hate speech uh anti-Semitism all of that is just is unacceptable all students on the campus need to feel safe in the past two weeks anti-israel protest has spread to college campuses across the US they were triggered in part by the mass arrests of over a 100 People at Columbia University in New York over a week ago in the nation’s capital anti-israel protesters spent a fourth day demonstrating at George Washington University demonstrators there have built an encampment containing dozens of tents they say they do not plan to move until their demands are met they want the university to divest from any business that financially supports Israel the University of Southern California reported property damage by protesters Saturday administrators said demonstrators vandalized the statue in a fountain on campus they also report the protesters declined offers that the University president made to meet with them officials at USC cancel their mainstage graduation they say there isn’t enough time to process guests with their new safety measures in place administrators of various schools have said the protest break school rules disrupt learning and have fostered harassment and anti-Semitism student leaders have acknowledge isolated incidents of anti-Semitism and harassment have occurred but they blame Outsiders who they say Seek to hijack their movement in St Louis presidential candidate Jill Stein was arrested at a pro Palestine rally on Saturday she was at Washington University over in Taiwan Taiwan reported more Chinese military near the island over the weekend that came just a day after Secretary of State Anthony blinkin ended his visit to China taiwan’s defense Ministry says it detected 22 Chinese aircraft including fighter jets on Saturday the defense Ministry said 12 aircraft crossed taiwan’s North and Center median line Lincoln while in Beijing said he stressed the critical importance of maintaining peace and stability across the straight the median line has served as an unofficial border but the Chinese regime says it doesn’t recognize it the CCP now regularly sends aircraft over the line and more in China the FBI says the Chinese regime is posing a broad and unrelenting threat to critical infrastructure in the US we learn more about this from James Hess a co-founder and CEO of unknown cyber and former military intelligence officer and Blackhawk pilot James thanks for being here on this really important topic please elaborate on the threat that the FBI is describing that’s coming from the Chinese regime good morning well um as already has been mentioned the uh the Chinese Communist party is using attacks pre- plants like Vol typhoon in order to threaten our critical infrastructure as a Vanguard for whatever military action the Chinese wants to take against America right and so how can these private Partnerships joint operations and these private sector alliances here create enough vigilance to help the US fight back um you have to have Partnerships between industry the lines are now blurred where we have to fight together um it’s no different than having any attack on our on our um industrial basee during uh during any other type of conflict but you’ll see that um these pre-plant that the adversary has uh has placed are essentially going to be the defining threat of Our Generation it will be our generation cyber Pearl Harbor yeah this is just very serious here James the FBI is saying that there’s energy water and other infrastructures that are all at risk here why is it that the Chinese Communist Party uses what’s called unrestricted Warfare to go and put fear into Americans here just by targeting things that help Society function well Beijing wants to counter our Superior military capabilities with asymmetric capabilities so cyber is a soft underbelly where they can penetrate and get inside of our infrastructure we have to assume that we’re already breached and adopt technologies that can continuously hunt for these threats um otherwise we’re basically going to be fighting at a disadvantage whenever the conflict kicks off so break it down here how does it work when a Cyber attack hits what can be done so you have your pre-incident and po incident but really what we need to do right now is start to eradicate these threats that have already penetrated and there not a lot of good ways to do that because technology is moving faster than it ever has before so we need to adopt adopt new technologies that can you leverage Ai and other capabilities to defeat the AI capabilities of the adversary an unknown cyber is leading the way in that uh creating ways to do semantic analysis that’s tra traditionally been done by humans so you can get ahead of the next threat so what does that look like how can AI assist in this problem so when you’re when you look at uh traditional analysis it’s been done on malware malware that’s repurposed like the malware used in attacks such as Vol typhoon the adversary weaponizes pre-existing tools that are out there basically camouflages them Opus Gates them so by using and they use AI in order to do that that’s the big threat that we have today is that AI can create new variants at machine speeds but tools that use semantic analysis and leverage Ai and machine learning to find those next threats rely on the fact that most attacks rely on previously used code previously previously used comp computer code so if we can accelerate the speed at which we can analyze that and enable our humans to be more efficient than we can get ahead of the threat yeah and director Ray says that wealth and power are the reasons for the CCP launching these types of attacks here James hes co-founder and CEO of unknown cyber and former military intelligence officer and Blackhawk pilot thanks for coming on the show today good morning and the Department of Homeland security is taking steps to mitigate the potential dangers of artificial intelligence it announced Friday the establishment of an AI safety panel the panel includes 22 members including leaders from Big tech companies like open AI Google and Microsoft the board also includes experts from Hardware companies critical infrastructure operators local governments and Academia the DHS says the panel will make recommendations on how to protect protect critical services from aii based attacks Homeland Security secretary myara said AI can be used to advance national interests but he also said the risk of enemy Nations using AI to quote unduly influence our elections is real stay with us New York’s Governor wants an Upstate district attorney investigated for refusing a traffic stop last week Governor hokel says the district attorney undermined her ability to hold others accountable former New York Governor Andrew cromo will testify before a house panel on the covid pandemic lawmakers want to know why nursing homes were advised to take in highly contagious patients thanks for seeing with us New York Governor Kathy hokel is asking for an investigation into an upstate da that refused A traffic stop last week hoko yesterday said she referred Monroe County district attorney Sandra dorly to the commission on prosecutorial conduct that’s after dly pleaded guilty to speeding and police body cam of the interaction was released Governor hokel says dly undermined her ability as da to hold others accountable for violating the law hokel says the footage shows dorly trying to evade responsibility and claiming to be Above the Law she also said the da acted unprofessionally towards the police officer this comes after the Rochester city council asked attorney general Leticia James to investigate dly on Saturday and former New York Governor Andrew quo has agreed to testify before Congress about his handling of the covid pandemic chairman of the subcommittee on the coronavirus pandemic Brad wrip says the transcribed interview will take place June 11th wrip says lawmakers want to ask comoo about his administration’s March 2020 advisory it barred nursing homes from rejecting patients on the basis of a covid-19 diagnosis the congressman says he’s trying to learn why someone would go against medical common sense and put someone highly contagious among the most vulnerable Cuomo has insisted The Advisory was consistent with the guidance from the CDC and the centers for Medicare and Medicaid services wrip sent a subpoena to Cuomo early last month he says the panel will also hear from Cuomo’s former secretary and former commissioner of the New York State Department of Health Harvey Weinstein was hospitalized Saturday for a series of tests after being transferred to a Riker’s Island jail on Friday his attorney says the disgraced movie producer is in bellw hospital for medical reasons the bellw hospital prison Ward works with the Infamous New York jail his attorney says he is still expected to appear in court Wednesday this after the New York Court of Appeals overturned his sex crimes convictions and ordered a new trial Weinstein was convicted in 2020 of first-degree criminal sexual act and third degree rape he was sentenced to 23 years in prison the appeals court ruling says the trial court allowed testimony from prior alleged sexual acts that portrayed Weinstein in a pre judicial light the appeals court says that testimony should not have been included and another Boeing jet mishap the emergency exit slide fell off a Boeing 767 aircraft operated by Delta Airlines the incident happened after the plane took off from New York and route to Los Angeles on Friday 183 people were on board the flight the crew declared an emergency and returned to JFK International Air Airport Delta says the Boeing jet has been removed from service and will be thoroughly evaluated Delta said it will cooperate in investigations the incident is under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration Boeing has been under scrutiny since January when the door plug of a commercial Boeing 737 max9 broke off as the plane was ascending horrifying passengers do you like Netflix or use Amazon or watch videos in your iPhone well all that requires data to go through data centers and this is happening so much now that these facilities are starting to gobble up a lot of electricity and water where is this heading and what are communities doing about this let’s get some answers from Kevin stockin a reporter for The Epic Times the producer of The Shadow State documentary and a former Wall Street Banker yeah the biggest growth area in Tech right now is Data Centers and uh anybody who does any sort of cloud storage cloud computing um even including like videos on your iPhone or streaming Netflix videos bank records uh digital purchases on Amazon Etc all of that data flows through data centers which are these enormous warehouses of servers that allow all these tech companies to communicate with each other that is really very interesting that we’re bringing this to light here those data warehouses in 2022 they gobbled up 17 gaw of electricity and that’s 4% of us energy consumption here where is this trend heading over the next six years well it’s certainly growing just because of all the data storage is growing but the biggest Factor coming online is the growth of AI which will require between five and 10 times as much electricity it just takes so much more to to power um the the servers for artificial intelligence and so they’re projecting that these data centers will grow from where they are as you said about 4% of electricity consumption that that amount will double by 2030 and an expert that was cited in one of your articles there was saying that these data centers are not just a hog of electricity they’re like an elephant and they’re right here in your backyard so what what happens when these data centers are all concentrated in one place and that place doesn’t rely on fossil fuels yeah so what tends to happen is it puts an enormous strain on resources and they do tend to concentrate uh just because you know it makes sense for um economies of scale or whatnot so for example there’s projections that about 70% of the world’s data goes through what’s called Data Center alley and this is all in the area of Northern Virginia the highest concentration in the world um they consume not only enormous amounts of electricity but they also consume enormous amounts of water and this is putting strains on the electric grid in these areas they have to build out uh New Generation new transmission lines and that ends up being paid by the rate payers and by the consumers in in the form of higho electric bills it’s easy to understand how a data center would consume electricity but why do they use water the reason is because to generate um all of the the processing um this electricity that they input um comes out in the form of heat there’s no motion they’re not turning you know any any engines or anything like that so they generate tremendous amounts of heat as much as 40% of the electricity consumed is just in trying to cool all these servers down and uh the heat is overwhelming they they can’t do it through traditional air Cooling and Air Conditioning so they have to use water to cool these servers down um Google has been consuming billions of gallons of water every year to cool down its data servers and they’re just a small piece of the puzzle should people be concerned about this and what are some steps that need to be taken as Tech is on the rise well we are seeing communities start to push back so there certainly is a movement in Virginia to limit the growth of data centers um what they are looking the real estate developers are looking increasingly to other areas whether that may be places like Atlanta or increasingly they’re looking out west to Wyoming and places like this to build new data centers they’re going abroad to places like Ireland the problem is these communities are welcoming them in uh not really realizing the the drain that they’re going to put on the electricity grid but also on the water and that is uh potentially a big issue particularly in the western states well thank you so much for your update this morning Kevin Stockland reporter for The Epic Times my pleasure thank you I mean Super interesting and certainly I mean not a huge surprise but definitely something we don’t really think about from that angle yeah and a professor at Texas Tech says a typical data center consumes between three and five million gallons of water a day to cool its machines well it’s a lot more than eight glasses a day right but big data nowadays really makes the world go around I guess companies are really relying on that to not become obsolete so yeah there we go it’s a reality that we have to face with and even lawmakers in Virginia are now starting to put out some bills for new development rules saying hey wait a minute we got to address this here yeah developing as you know as Tech also develops and we trying to keep up [Music] here good to have you back joining us now is nd’s business matters host Don ma to give us the latest updates from the financial World um Also let’s talk about the new research that is out about the wage Gap in the US what did it find yeah speaking of banks let’s talk talk about the wage Gap so uh also seems like not a very exciting news here the average wealth gap between families uh so that’s including of course Black and Hispanic Hispanic families topped $1 million in 2022 so that’s the wage Gap here and according to a new report from the urban Institute according uh to their research uh the average wealth of white families was over $1.3 million that’s compared to the average of $227,000 for Hispanic families and $211,000 for black families so the reports sites differences in earnings among races and genders as well as disparities when it comes to saving for retirement and emergencies for the wealth Gap so another Factor listed was home ownership which is that uh the main reason uh the main way people build wealth so the report says 73% of white families own a home in 2022 uh however the home ownership rate for Hispanic families was 51% and black families was 44% uh the report says uh ways to close the wage Gap in home ownership rates include increasing the supply of affordable homes and expand mortgage credit rates access uh so those are some of the numbers for you and on that Don a group called Libre responded to Biden State of the Union and said despite what President Biden would like Hispanics to believe bomic is preventing Latinos from enjoying that American Dream next how is this whole green transition affecting Farmland yeah uh so you were talking about Google and uh what’s what’s happening there so on that front uh the reality here is that as solar capacity grows uh some of America’s most productive Farmland is at risk um uh this is amid a renewable energy boom and that is risking damaging some of America’s rich soil in key farming States for example Indiana uh and all this is according to a Reuters investigation so this was through analysis of federal state and local data um in addition as well as hundreds of pages of Court records and interviews with uh more than a 100 energy and soil scientists agriculture economists farmers and farmland owners and local state uh Federal lawmakers so pretty substantial investigation here and ERS found that around 0.2% of all crop land in the US intersected in some capacity some way or another uh with solar panel sites um so agriculture economists what they’re saying is they argue that even small amounts of the best crop land of production or uh um or damaging valuable top soil is going to impact future crop potential in the United States so something to keep in mind as we go through this uh so-called green transition right and you know the US solar industry really made use of the cheaper rents of the field that was especially the case in the mid East and now uh Midwest sorry and now some are just looking at acres and Acres of lands that are not usable anymore quite a tragic result for their Farmland actually so thank you so much Don ma host of business matters I appreciate your updates today thanks stay with us a tornado ripped through Nebraska knocking out power but one couple didn’t let that halt there wedding ceremony he their story coming up and a veterinarian in Berlin has a heart for the city’s growing raccoon population but her plan for rescuing them is not popular with everyone get the whole story coming up thanks for staying with us and here’s a story of a Nebraska couple who didn’t let a tornado cancel their wedding plan when a tornado tore through their town Saturday ahead of the festivities it left their venue without power Jessica and Austin bracker decided to go ahead with their plans and move their entire setup indoors they said the guests all rolled with a punches and helped celebrate their special moment the couple said overall the day was perfect and they all had a great time not letting nature spoil the fun no and I mean what else can you do you spent all this money all these guests came probably all over the country and you just want to enjoy your you know one special day yes and I’m glad that everyone is safe yeah for sure definitely all right and moving on a veterinarian in Berlin has a big heart for raccoons her nonprofit company has launched a pilot program to help control Berlin’s growing raccoon population veterinarians in Berlin are often the first point of contact for police police and fire departments when it comes to caring for injured or orphaned animals Matilda Lininger’s raccoon friendly project is backed by the Berlin Senate the habitat she provides is usually necessary for the raccoon survival the raccoons that end up with us are taken from nature without exception these are raccoons in need of help mostly puppies the youngest ones we have right now are 3 days old so we know the story of almost all of them the little ones that came just yesterday will lay in an incubator for 2 days we don’t know yet whether they will survive the mother had five puppies she carried three away and left two behind once the raccoons are deemed healthy they are neutered and released back into the wild as part of the project we are allowed to release the Neutered raccoons again and that is also important because we want to count whether the neutering is successful we want to count The Offspring and of course we can only do that if we let the raccoons out again she realizes her program may be controversial to some it’s always said that the raccoon polarizes that’s really true I don’t like hearing that but it’s really true on the one hand there are those who say this is an animal it has a right to life it is very very intelligent it is very capable of suffering we cannot kill it we brought it here we have to learn to live with it because we can’t get rid of it anyway we have to find options and there are others who say he doesn’t belong here and has to go the raccoon is a North American animal originally brought to Central Europe for fur farming they were initially kept on fur Farms but later reproduced in the wild due to factors like a lack of natural enemies and their adaptability they’ve also spread significantly in Germany lingers Association estimates there are over 1 million raccoons in Germany and raccoons in Germany have been officially named an invasive species they’re seen as a threat to the diversity of native species and may be hunted oh man but yeah I mean they have become such a troublemaker in Berlin it’s it’s been a thing and then they developed a liking to beer and then now they have like they’re rumaging through people’s homes drunk raccoon so yeah something needs to be done but at the same time you know killing them just doesn’t feel right so that’s that’s sweet well there’s nothing like drunk Bandits running around anyway all right here uh we are taking a quick break but we’ll be right back in a minute or so so stay with us there are real consequences to controlled [Music] media and entities Founders know them firsthand our freedom of thought is the price this this is the lesson that guides Us in everything we do so there’s the tear gas there we know the value of a free society and we take seriously the responsibility to preserve [Music] it we are ND welcome to NTD good morning here today’s top stories dramatic Hamas released video of another American hostage over the weekend the terrorist group is still holding around 130 hostages Israel believes around 100 are still alive entities’s Jeremy Sandberg has the latest in the Israel Hamas War the White House says President Biden and Israel’s prime minister reviewed ongoing hostage ceasefire talks on Sunday Biden also reaffirmed iron Cloud commitment to Israel and reiterated his position on Rafa NSC adviser John Kirby says Israel will not launch a military offensive where over 1 million people are Sheltering until hearing us thoughts and concerns the Biden Administration says it wants to see a clear and actionable plan on protecting civilians Kirby told ABC on Sunday the US needs to have a better understanding into Israel’s potential approach Secretary of State Anthony blinkin is extending his trip to the Middle East this week until Wednesday to discuss hostage and ceasefire talks with leaders blinkin will head to Jordan and Israel after visiting Saudi Arabia negotiations have been stalled for months under mediation by Egypt and Qatar the terrorist group Hamas released another video of an American Israeli hostage over the weekend Keith seagull appears alongside another hostage for the first time since his kidnapping on October 7th the two men appear to be speaking under duress pleading for Israel to negotiate a deal Israel has condemned hostage videos as psychological terrorism protesters in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem called for a hostage release deal on Saturday police say at least people were arrested some gathered near netanyahu’s private home calling for new elections a Hamas delegation is expected for talks in Cairo Monday Jeremy Sandberg NTD news so let’s bring in David wormser now for some analysis on the ongoing hostage talks he is a Middle East Affairs Analyst at the center for security policy good morning David now first of all Hamas has reportedly also just sent a delegation to Cairo for negotiations what is known about what’s on the table table so far well I think the key issue on the table now is whether or not Israel is going to agree to uh first of all the number of hostages the Israelis are saying somewhere between 33 and at least all of them accounted for uh and Hamas is saying no more than 20 like likely because there may not be more alive than 20 uh the second thing on the table is the extent of ceasefire the Israelis are still saying they only accept a six week ceased fire basically a day per hostage at most uh so maybe 30 days uh but it but but Hamas wants a permanent ceasefire until obviously they’re willing to break it which is the way it was before so the the Israelis apparently are moving somewhat on the concept of yes theoretically they accept a permanent or a long-term sustainable common afterwards which is somewhat of a major concession but I think that at this point uh you have to look at the underlying Trends and interests of the two sides and Hamas doesn’t really have an interest in uh in giving up hostages because ultimately they a it’ll expose that they killed most of them but B it’s their ultimate guarantee of survival so I think what Hamas will do and they also have an interest in dividing Israel and and such a deal would divide Israel greatly uh so I think what Hamas wants to do is say almost yes but never quite say yes string it along hope that they buy time and they think that if they buy time it derails Israel’s imminent invasion of Rafa which would eliminate the last stronghold of Kamas right and that is interesting because it goes with what Hamas has been saying because first they were saying that it doesn’t seem like there is much that they have that that that they seem to be okay with the overall um negoti a and things that they Israel was asking for and now they’re saying that they’re still reviewing the details so um can you also talk a little bit more about the sustainable Cal that you were talking about because Israel now is willing to discuss that as part of the hostage deal but what does that mean for Israel is it possibly a ceasefire before a victory over Hamas well there there’s a debate in Israel one side says uh bring home the hostages is at any cost uh agree to a ceasefire end the war uh bring them home at any rate uh but about 80% of Israel believes that that that’s only buying you another October 7th disaster and uh a tragedy uh the attack on October 7th with the one and a half thousand dead Israelis so they say no this has to win Israel has to win they have to eliminate Hamas from Gaza and even if they can’t bring home the hostages under that uh then then winning will bring home the hostages that ultimately it’s that pressure and taking the territory and destroying the remnants of Hamas that bring them home so the real implications of this are the internal debate in Israel and the splitting going on between the unity government half of whiches uh must be brought home at all costs even if the war is lost and the other half saying no you have to win the war the security of the state in the long run depends on that and I don’t see how uh natano the Prime Minister can survive if he goes with the unity government and the idea that the hostages uh must be brought home even if the war would be lost because that is the unity government was established after after the war started his core Coalition is on the other side and he would fall from Power if he agrees to to a ceasefire right so I uh very quickly he would fall from power so I’m still dubious even though the Israelis have apparently conceded on such a sustainable ceasefire uh it really now depends on Hamas and if they say no his government saved and Israel goes into ra and and finishes this right if he says yes his government may not survive so now there is another uh uh complication coming in for n yahu because what do you think does a possible arrest warrant by the international criminal court against Israeli senior officials mean you know what kind of pressure could it even mean that it pressures them further into a ceasefire well it would it would be a great deal of pressure because it’s potentially you could see Israel it’s not only the three that have been named uh the Prime Minister defense minister and Chief of Staff of the military uh it essentially it’s a democracy Israel is a democracy which means that if you indict the democratically elected government of Israel You’re essentially indicting the Israeli people and it also opens the precedent for any Israeli soldier who participated in the war to be arrested when he when he travels abroad now the United States does not recognize the international criminal court Israel is not a party to it which by the way they’re writing a whole new rule book for Israel the the international criminal court doesn’t apply to countries that aren’t part of it um but and Israel’s not part of it but they’re rewriting the rules to make Israel still subject to it even though they never signed the treaty for it or the United States so the implications for Israel are very grave the implications for American soldiers are very grave because if the presedent has said that this International court that is accountable to exactly nobody can indict anybody they wish even in countries that don’t sign this treaty to to a treaty of Rome which formed the ICC they can go and arrest an American Soldier visiting Canada understood well thank you so much David wormser I really appreciate your insights this morning sure and pro Palestine and pro-israel protesters clashed on the campus of UCLA in Los Angeles on Sunday this comes as demonstration spread across college campuses in the country as the size of the pro Palestinian encampment at UCLA expanded in recent Days Counter protesters have become increasingly vocal and visible on the campus a university spokesperson said demonstrators knocked over a barrier used to separate the two groups leading to Violent clashes on Sunday members of both factions traded punches and shouted slogans until campus police eventually separated them Los Angeles police were not involved in quelling the disturbance a representative of the campus police said and no arrests were made in a statement the University Administration said quote UCLA has a long history of being a place of peaceful protest and we are heartbroken about the violence that broke out Los Angeles mayor Karen bass spoke to the media on Sunday well I mean as mayor people have the right uh to for Free Speech but you know hate speech uh anti-Semitism all of that is just is unacceptable all students on the campus need to feel safe in the past two weeks anti-israel protest has spread to college campuses AC across the US they were triggered in part by the mass arrests of over a 100 People at Columbia University in New York over a week ago in the nation’s capital anti-israel protesters spent a fourth day demonstrating at George Washington University demonstrators there have built an encampment containing dozens of tents they say they do not plan to move until their demands are met they want the university to divest from any business that financially supports Israel student leaders have acknowledged isolated incidents of anti-Semitism and harass have occurred but they blame Outsiders who they say Seek to hijack their movement in St Louis presidential candidate Jill Stein was arrested at a pro Palestine rally on Saturday she was at Washington University from disaster to politics with the election Drawing Near we ask who are Robert F Kennedy Jr’s supporters and why do they choose him part of this answer Americans who may not have voted but are now inspired to and those seeking so-called medical freedom here’s my talk on this with Jeff laach a reporter for The Epic Times it’s fascinating when you go to all of his voter rallies because you have people who were former Trump supporters in 2016 2020 you have people who were Bernie Sanders supporters so they’re more into the independent uh Arena and they’re really what’s interesting is I can’t I I don’t really see too many people who voted for President Biden in 2020 supporting Kennedy it tends to mostly be former Trump supporters or moderate Democrats or former Bernie Sanders supporters and even moderate Republicans that is interesting and looking further into your article there these are disenfranchised voters many of whom didn’t even vote in the last election cycle and probably weren’t even planning to vote in 2024 until Kennedy was in the race who are these Kennedy supporters well that’s interesting you mentioned that about people who didn’t vote or weren’t planning to vote uh at all these events that I cover RFK related events that’s a common theme you have a lot of people who he’s inspiring people to come out and vote who haven’t voted in years there’s a woman I interviewed who the last time she voted was for Barack Obama as you said disenfranchised people uh there’s been a couple polls where over half of Americans do not want to see a rematch between President Biden and president Trump he was cast as a fringe candidate initially when he was running as a Democrat he had that spat with the DNC accusing them of allegedly rigging the primary to not let him compete against President Biden and then all of a sudden he’s now an independent and he’s trying to get on all 50 states and DC by July so we’ll have to see here but what about medical Freedom that seems to be something that he’s championing that these supporters are going for Well Medical freedoms one issue he’s known for his uh stance against uh Co he he was against covid lockdowns and he’s well known he’s called a conspiracy theorist and an antivaxer but he insists that he’s just a vaccine safety Advocate remains to be seen whether that’ll be a key issue there are a lot of people who are supporting him because he’s against uh covid vaccine mandates and he is for vaccine safety and a lot of those people are uh former Trump supporters so whether that makes a difference in the election remains to be seen and Jee it was interesting seeing that one of the people cited in your article was a registered nurse whose daughter at the age of two suffered a lot of adverse reactions from many vaccines and she became an advocate for that there Jeff louderback reporter for The Epic Times thank you thank you up next a Paris B just won the coveted title of the city’s best bagette here what the winner receives and what went into the particular title but I have waited years to be recognized by my peers I have been a baker for 25 years and I was saying to myself it’d be nice to have a recognition and today it happened so I’m very happy about about it and I have the rules here let me read them cuz those are specific so check it out each entry must measure between 19 and 22 in long it must weigh between 9 and 9 and2 oz and have a salt content of 16.8 G per kilogram of flour Which is less than 2% wow and you know get this I’ve actually made some french bread before yeah it takes three days it takes three days wow it’s worth it though you got to make the poolish first and you let that rise then you slap and fold the dough it’s a lot of work and then the third day you bake it it’s really good so a lot of rising probably right for to give it the perfect fluff yeah and you got to let it cool and then you cut it so it doesn’t hurt the crumb you know all right yeah love bread anyway moving on uh actually we have to WRA 1. I like NTD, but "Good Morning" is hard to hear when tornadoes rip people's lives apart, including killing 1 baby and 4 others, destroying houses, over 100 wounded, and about hateful anti-semetic protests, and a large number of info people who think Biden is doing well…

I am glad that some folks are moving away from the slave mentality of Democrat officials …but only 17%? Why do 83% bow to Democrat slave owners while rejecting the Republican party of freedom, prosperity, and love?

    2. If i were a judge The college protesters supporting hammas and shouting death to America when arrested should pay fines of 1500 hundred first offense with 10 days in jail automatically and doubled on second offense the third a felony. These protesters are anti American
