stage three of T to Hungary with the famous kto climb where we’ve seen some very exciting and close finishes in the past today was no different about 12ks 5 1 half% Mountain Top finish with a warm-up Category 2 climb beforehand but the last 3K is the hardest it’s shallower at the base and you don’t want to jump too early draft really really important uh on this sort of clim we’ve seen Riders get caught late before Pierre bagette cycling on honoring the jersey of Volta I don’t don’t know if Sant AOL you see him there about fourth wheel with the world chance B but eventually they’ll like all right enough time for the actual teams that want the stage to take over which is borans grow up for bman UAE for HEI and or uh Uli and little Tre for tibon although and some excited fans watching on the side of the road but in terms of favorites for the stage probably Hy won GC last year his punch is really good he’s more of a known entity in terms of climbing as compared to someone like TBO nce although nce did win the Twitter romen the mountain toop finish uh but it was from the Breakaway recently but he was did good wats vter attacks at the base of the climb with Bahrain pacing they also got Wild pools here so Bookman and PS just like wellsford in the on stage one Bookman and PS here to prove a point for GC or off of the stage to show their teams they should have been in their jro teams they probably should have been anyway as you can see the climbs already started by about 2 and A2 km and it’s not very selective still a huge Pelon like camworth is still there for example and then it starts to get a bit more serious with tud to pacing for Janis vazard their GC leader got vek ahead of tibo n he’s number 34 then H she next to him wal P’s ahead of him Bookman with zof and we can’t see vazard just out of shot they’re the main favorites for the stage UAE also can play numbers just like Bora can probably two better options in here she and ulissi ulissi was very very good in jur the Bruto doing big big wats but chud to ramp it up right hander it starts to get steep here you want to be in good position here and there’s the road just Falls away with a little bit of gravel on the right DSM R starts to go into it I don’t know if this is Frank vanderbrook or another DSM Rider but his teammate which I think is Frank Vander Brook’s following him he crashes trying to get back onto the tarmac I think he had his wheel at an acute angle and just goes down loses front wheel in that and that’s his race over he re Rec won GC tour of turkey on a hard Mountain toop finish uh behind Paul double doing good wats so Frank vanderbrook who’s also quite fast in a finish he would have been up there today so very unfortunate for him that’s his GC bid and the stage win over chuda finish their lead out and no one really takes over so zoff attacks got TBO NY lets his wheel go 3.2k to go here she maybe a bit overeager but I guess everyone’s going to look at UAE team Emirates and they do have two Riders Bookman of course can just follow Wheels with zoff attacking like this uh but Matias vek he’s going to play a big role in this final eventually Bookman they’re doing the old one too and ulissi lets his wheel go so obviously bookman’s doing a good pace and so that means here she has to respond a second time so here she I think I don’t know if ulissi was just riding real conservative I know if it was the plan but here she he was the one from UA again ulissi lets zof go too much for him and so it’s hii that has to stay up there although it’s Bookman may be attacking simultaneously uh maybe he should have let zof go but he just gets him to start doing basically a lead out for as long as possible to string it out they’re going 23 25 K an hour on these gradients and now tibo has the very helpful figure of Matias vek fourth wheel in the Czech national champs Jersey vazard the chuda Jersey the black one behind him then you see Han vanker and because of vek being there Nas can relax a little bit he doesn’t have to close every Gap like Callum SC or worry about a split too much so that’s the benefit of having vek up there I mean maybe ulissi could have let that group go because he had H in it he could have flicked actually TBO and Ace behind him if he let that group go uh instead Bookman pulls off HEI was half willing him then vazard attacks and actually here she blows up a little bit in the next K or so Bookman counters and finally he’s got separation and here she starts to try and close it again luckily for him there’s Matias vek in the group because he and ulissi I think he or she was kind of done at this point and ulissi was certainly not going to pull but vek being there for tibon he just he really without him there’s no way that Bookman doesn’t win the stage Bookman wins comfortably without vek doing this Tempo again I repeat it’s not that steep on this gradient where draft is still pretty important and at least keeping the Gap stable and particularly because like good n and uliss and Hy they were going to look at each other unless there was someone willing to sacrifice and with 1K to go bookman’s got a decent Gap you can’t see the chase behind him round the Bandit looks like it’s gone to over 10 seconds even 300 M to go vk’s gone scotson attacked and then stops ul’s on his wheel with nice and it looks like bookman’s the shoe in for the win he’s 250 to go they’re playing or C cat mousing behind and attacking and again with even less we can’t see them before Uli starts sprinting leading out TBO nce who’s I always thought was more of a puncher and then from romendy from today he’s showing that he can certainly hold his own on a climb as well sprinting past Bookman in the last 30 m ulissi as well coming second all three on the same time Wasa just behind but super impressive for tbon and Trek that’s probably the GC wrapped up for them as well head of ulissi bman vazard pools L hoko scotson Rodriguez here she and house and here’s what n had to say after the stage I came here for the for the stage of tomorrow and the last day and and today we just wanted to test the legs and see where we can end and I didn’t really know how to react after the first uh two easy stages and I felt the legs were a bit lazy but the team did a hell of a job and Matias uh Matias was unbelievable strong and in the end I I found the perfect legs to to make it happen you knew that you have to be patient yeah exactly uh I mean the last uh 500 M kicks really steep so I just knew I had to save something for uh for one big shot in the end and it looked like uh we were not closing in on uh Bookman but then in the end I just went all out and uh we came we came fast from behind and I know it was going to happen but in terms of GC bonus seconds do play a big role but neither ulissi or Bookman of vard as Punchy as tibo n and tomorrow there’s a little Hilltop finish and then the last stage on Sunday is another medium Mountain sort of hilly stage where tibo probably take even more time so he’s looking really good let’s see if little Tre can help him defend the Jersey they also look pretty good today as well

    1. I watched the entire race
as PCS livestats employee and can confirm that Sagan did not pull a single time. He did go back to the car to get some bottles at one point. And he also brought Voltr back to the front after bike change, because he knew everyone would move out the way for the big boss.

    2. wau why you never make videos on giro and pogacar!!! I noticed that you really avoid videos of the new hanibal

    3. My favourite place to go for cycling highlights for years, you do a great job! Would you mind correcting your pronunciasion of Mathias Vacek surname please? Czech “C” is pronounced as German “Z” in his surname 🙂 and vowels A and E are pronounced very short. sort of “Wazek” in German.

    4. Nys – what a talent – maybe you could argue in Romandie it was from the break… but this was something different – he followed the climbers and then smashed them in the sprint! If he was to focus purely on the road? What kind of rider can he become?

    5. Real Bad Day for Buchmann!
      Understated that BORA Director was
      Right despite Buchmanns Moaning
