hello and welcome to short highlights of stage three the queen stage of the tour of Hungary Northern Hungary set the scene from the race between coin espara the scene of Mark cavendish’s win yesterday and the summit finish of kisu the high point the highest mountain point in fact in the whole of Hungary Martin volter we saw yawning there in the yellow Jersey the chech rider for the Slovak Pierre baguette team went into today’s stage as the there I say surprise yellow Jersey after a couple of brilliant days of racing today’s circuit though and this end of the Tad Poole in particular to the West really tough climbing up into the Matas mountains taking on mataza twice and the second time going right the way up to the ski station at kisto Summit finish 15 km final climb not expecting to see Mark Cavendish featuring on the finish line but he got that second win of his season yesterday and he looks after the green jersey for Martin wter in the yellow Jersey there because Martin wter leads in both classifications once again a very decisive and specific Breakaway went early and that was it and it was fascinating in a way because having got the Cavendish win yesterday two of his teammates were allowed to go up the road you have Yi GDIT and Mikel muu the two aana riders in the company of Manuel penela riding for py coma another of those sprinty types who was high on GC after two high finishes in the first two stages so penala was out there to pick up bonus seconds and he did just that he started the day in 12th on General classification and was moving up all the time this was the first day that we saw stalks with babies nesting absolutely fantastic views in Hungary this was the first of our Mountain points because we had the mountains leader in there c d the Belgian Rider riding for Flanders Bal being challenged though all the way to the first second category climb and he did just enough to finish ahead of his nearest Challenger Christian bagatin and Christian spag of the corch Vinnie pantini team had ridden across to them surprise surprise as a result of that he was the last man standing as we worked our way into the lower slopes of the ketu final climb this finish the climb up to ketu was all about the general classification it always was set to be as well with the big Summit finish chud Pro cycling leading onto the lower slopes as well and a crash too a nasty one right at the edge of the Road thankfully not bringing down many riders last year’s winner Mark Hershey playing very close attention to the front and watching Emanuel Bookman the German national champion for Borah hansra Bookman had had plenty of support in here from Ben zof and zof once again took over the pce setting to make it harder from the others and prevent attacks until Bookman was ready Diego alisi appeared to be riding really well the Italian for UA team Emirates Mark Hershey just hovering all the time and lots of riders being distanced from the front as the leading group became smaller and smaller and smaller TBO n sitting back there looking good yanis voard last year’s third place finisher for Tuda Pro cycling also looking good as was Matas vek the Czech Champion for leel Trek Pace setting and working hard forbo nce who was sitting in behind in the colors of leel Trek then Emanuel Bookman just got out of the saddle and started to lift it with, 1500 meters to go the German Champion trouble is he then started looking back quite a lot Matas vachek was setting a pace on the front just to Peg Bookman out there too Manuel Bookman as he came through the smoke of the flares looking like he was tiring he seemed to get a little lift though into the final what 800 M but was still looking back at a disintegrating group Behind still being pressed on by Matas vachek the Czech champion at the front of this very select group Damen hson desperately trying to wind his way back on as a former winner of the general classification of this race this was where Bookman started to just kick on thinking he had it thinking about the stage of course as well about as well as the general classification for a man who was expecting to be at the Jalia but isn’t this would have been a really nice signal for him he could survive into the last what 100 met or so Bookman out the saddle desperately trying to lift it to the line but look at the chase that was coming Diego alisi of UA Emirates trying to catch Bookman but over the top of him tibo nce the Belgian Rider riding for leel Trek kicking off the back wheel and flying past Emanuel bman to the line he had the sense to check before celebrating tbon nce took his second high ranking victory of the year to go with his romendy stage just a couple of weeks ago what a fantastic start to his season he’s having cuz he started his season late after quite a long break following the cyc across season tibo nce winning the queen stage in the tour to Hungary ahead of Diego Eli and Emmanuel Bookman still with a great ride but not able to hang on to the line yanis voar with a fantastic fourth place too look at the speed difference as tbon kicked past Bookman Bookman doing everything he could to try and go with him but young tbon finger in the air and two fantastic victories already this road season for him of course with the time bonuses on the line he then took over the race lead only just though from Diego alisi who sits in second place Bookman still on the podium at the moment and TBO nce in yellow it’s going to be a fascinating weekend of racing lots of Hilltop finishes and both uphill Sprints could well suit the man we’re looking at right now of course you’ll have to join me and Brian Smith though to find out which way it goes here at the home cycl [Music] [Music]
