they all we had to go on on Sanchez was the the third place finish in that Welter stage last year beaten by Walt Pauls and Remco even so wouldn’t wouldn’t say to you he’s really quick and capable of mopping up Julian Al Philip in a in a basically what became a two-up Sprint but there you go he ped with him I tell you what is exciting about that ride from Al Philip if he’s obviously is back to that level we might see more ala Philip things throughout this jro which I am looking forward to CU he’s a brilliant Entertainer a fantastic fight Rider yeah he’s been showing signs for a while since that bad crash he had a couple of years ago in liage he showed signs of you know active early getting in breaks looking really good and then blowing to pieces and hadn’t been able to finish races off and yesterday was a really good sign of things to come Kevin Kone the latest victim of the speed and power of this man filipo Gana Kone of Anto Mar started his time Tri at halfast two local time 7 minutes before this man who’s about to catch another two riders in front of Kone with Stephan debod we’ve already seen him cross the line and finish his time Tri today 1 km to go for filipo Gana and he has 3 minutes and 40 seconds within which to cross the finish line I know it’s a slow run up towards the Finish but at 30 km per hour filipo Gana will do this last K in 2 minutes which in theory would put in a minute and 40 in front of Mikel B it’s been a demonstration so far Adam it’s it’s been a demonstration in a half and I don’t think I’ve seen a rider pass as many riders in a singular time trial that must be the fifth Rider that he’s passed by now sixth Rider so this man is absolutely motoring moving into the last 500 M this is the next man in front of him if he was to catch another one but I don’t think he will be doing with only 400 me to go for the line but Philip oani yes the man the Beast the Italian national champion he is absolutely flying I mean one of the Riders he passed was Luca mzet it a brilliant Sprint yesterday he started 9 Minutes in front of filipo Gana but at least rer kinger can say I started in front of Philip bana and he didn’t catch me he just won’t say how many minutes in front of him he started not bad time from keplinger he only started four minutes in front of B on the day but here he comes final few hundred meters final excruciating few hundred meters for the Italian Tano champion of the inos grenadiers Leo Gana it’s green and it’s green by some margin 2 minutes and 10 seconds remain for him to get to the line in order for him to beat the time of Mikel beel the Dane from UAE team Emirates 250 M remaining he’s down into the time draw bars he is going to set the Benchmark with which everyone else is going to have to try and beat it can anyone beat it onto the TT bars as well he’s one of the first people we’ve seen come across the line here Philip oana 140 6 at the [Applause] minute philipo Gana comes across the line stopping the clock 139 in front of Mikel B for a time of 52 minutes and a single second it’s not only a demonstration of time trailing it’s a demolition of all those who have ridden this course so far and what a benchmark to set for those yet to come eyes on the man in pink those short given the UCI green light honoring the Grande Torino team robt just catching a glimpse of that pack that’s underneath T pacha’s saddle know it won’t be a spares pack I’ve been asked by a few people I’m wondering if it is the Telemetry equipment um power meter or the Telemetry equipment from from say UCI velon uh broadcaster to to get all the the power and speed measurements I’m not exactly sure today he’s up against a man in pink who looks to be strengthening his grip on the marad OA though there still a very long way to go in the jle not quite time for the gold ticker tape but this is a big day laying the foundations for [Applause] Pacha start of the day hoping the power home is advantage and if the last time check has anything to be believed he’s well on his way to doing that is [Music] tacha this is not a done deal yet poat is absolutely motoring he’s putting a big gap between himself and the other contenders for the jle we wondered if that would happen today anyway but he’s getting mightily close to a late shot at a stage win it’s going to be difficult from here but not impossible no not impossible and uh you know he will be aware of the situation um and uh he’s a specialist at this sort of uh finish here where uphill the final number of kilometers the way he goes and we can see know he say slow down GH is little bit concerned here for the moment along and that is a real strong performance there from the small l w Colombian I wonder if that’s just Philip po thinking oh I’ve just seen that I wonder what this man pogy’s about to do 2.1k to go 4815 and Counting this is not a done deal yet poat is absolutely motoring he’s putting a big gap between himself and the other contenders for the jle we wondered if that would happen today anyway but he’s getting mightily close to a late shot at a stage win it’s going to be difficult from here but not impossible no not impossible and uh you know he will be aware of the situation um and uh he’s a specialist at this sort of uh finish here where uphill defin the number of kilometers the way he goes and we can see yeah know he say slow down GH is a little bit concerned here for the moment they might be regretting the little sunglasses move a moment ago oh dear but it did look didn’t it at the bottom as if it was done and dusted 1.5 Cas to go Thomas yet the finish and he’s 700 M here and if you see pogacha going like that and you see Thomas here the gap’s going to be substantial as in the GC I think today Thomas being cheered on but he is not bringing it back to the same extent that Martinez did he’s not bringing it back to the same extent that Pacha is doing no and uh as I talked about earlier you know garon Thomas on the flat section the big GE stuff you know he’s a real special at that but with the uphill he struggled a little bit here but again you know he has put in a big big right here and I think uh at the end it’ll be interesting to see what his Advantage uh or what his loss will be to uh his main rival pogacha because he’s finishing like a train he’s just got to be careful with martinez as well here Danny Martinez finished 132 down with a 5333 Thomas started the day 1 second ahead of Danny Martinez and Gant Thomas is going to slip I think to just behind Danny Martinez Thomas moves from second to third on the podium here and Danny Martinez has put in quite the performance to get in front of Gant Thomas in the time trial that’s the headline of the day in the GC so far well so far as we see garan Thomas finish here Danny Martinez yes it was a real big performance from him today and know he will be really happy with that as we go into more of the frame that will suit him but as we can see t pachar are just know giving his all here in the final run to the line let’s have a look at where he is because this could be tens and tight Gana will be hoping to hold on but is he going to do I’m not sure it’s going to go right down to the wire 46 seconds in counting top Gan now is about to go box office again he had the sun he’s on ready to celebrate but patar in pink is turning up here and wants to finish the job as quickly as possible at the Cho Italia here he is going for the the line it’s Pacha with a Finish Line in front of him well down at the bottom of the hill but he’s flown up it today pogacha is there breaking the heart of Ghana winning the stage and today Pacha Home Advantage power down strengthens his grip on the mar Roa Gana with that Home Advantage but it’s wiped away pogacha with the power and Pacha producing one of the time trial performances that’s pretty incredible he was 44 seconds down at the first check 47 seconds down at the second check well up at the final check and Pacha in pink is perfect that is special well this is the man you could expect something of a performance like that from and uh uh it looked like that was going to be a difficult one considering the wind conditions we suspect that has uh started to blow up a bit more they had to invest a bit more energy but this manual that final climb that was Monster performance again from Teddy k [Music] [Music]

  1. Says a lot about Pogi, how the Italian home fans are cheering for him even though he just beat their home favourite. He's just too likeable!

  2. Today Tadej put one hand on the trophy. Tomorrow he will put the other. He will break their hearts and crush their hopes tomorrow.

The man is an absolute machine.

  3. The Ganna is undoubtedly faster on the straights, but it is heavy and loses on the climbs and corners. It was an uphill finish at the end, so Pogacar had a chance to win

  4. Miguel Indurain no tomaba agua despues de llegar, pasaba la linea, frenaba, se bajaba de la bici y subia a su Bus jajajaj

  5. I don’t doubt there’s drugs all over the pro peloton but I figure if everyone’s on the same drugs, or some teams are just smarter and get better drugs, well that’s part of the sport. Good on them. Keep loading the young kids up with drugs for our entertainment

  6. I don't see the point of this new-ish trend to always put climbs in time trials. Yeah, a grand tour is about climbing, the most beautiful part of cycling is climbing, but time trials are originally made for constant pacing on a flat road. Also, on flat roada we could see a nice time trial battle instead of a gc battle every time

  7. Pogacar is such an incredible talent and nobody is gonna questioning it, but we can all agree knowing what is the time to beat is a great advantage. And thinking that the route and the hills haven’t played a big role is also a huge mistake.
