[Music] all eyes were on the Mad OA The Never Ending Trophy and the whole host of riders heading to the start of stage six of the jro Italia it would take the Riders from Tor Deo to rapan Tusan three sectors of ster or white roads parking back to the start of spring and the Yan the jro this year already borrowed from The Classy Chima and this time it would have a look at a modern classic taking three of those sectors 12 km Offroad of gravel all coming within the last quarter of the stage a good stage for a breakaway maybe and a word have got round the pellon that that could be the case so after the neutral zone under sunny skies and 24° that would ify a very fast fight and it would be ferocious no break allowed to go for a long long time 30ks passed and they were still going just about every single team by UA Emirates and inos grenadiers trying to get up the road at some stage the international peltin were at it as well not just the Italians 135 K to go and it still hadn’t gone and they were approaching the first climb of the day to voltera Simon Clark would give it his all a day that had seen three of his teammates from Israel Premier Tech unable to start the race due to injury he was looking to get that magic jeto stage win on The Climb things would start to move Kaden Gro was going away splits were happening in the pelan and some sprinters would Dro behind feli would go bant and ala Philip 100 kilm to go 80 ridden and there still wasn’t a big gap an opportunity to take mountains points came but they weren’t the focus of the day over the top of the climb is where things began to move even more 14 seconds for a small group The sprinters group still chasing on behind there was a brief danger of around 20 Rod is getting away payo Sanchez jumped with 88 K to go Kaden Groves initiating another move Julia alaf the two-time former world champion going as well and still it wouldn’t settle down in the bunch there would have been tired legs praying for things to calm down Luke pla then tried his luck Mato 10 in for the tinth time as well UA Emirates seem to be controlling but not necessarily chasing Andrea vindam was the last Rider to come across Patrick Le and Julian Al Philip very briefly exchanging things not quite a handshake a beat on hand and at the intermediate Sprint Kaden Groves ensured that his presence in the move was worthwhile he took points back in the fight for the maao feli second and five other Riders were with them in the break the sprinters who had been dropped looked like they were about to get back and they did get back with 55 K to go just in time for the three dirt sectors to start on to the first of three sectors they went this the first sector normally in Str bian vidita then Baya both coming one after the other just under the 5Ks each clouds of dust sunshine and a little bit of chaos engulf the pelan Milan keeping Lopez at the front inos grenadiers doing a great job all day long and at the front the break was breaking up again PL alongside alaf Filip and Sanchez aacha always well positioned and on the second of the two first gravel sectors The Climb meant that the three three strongest climers would come to the four grow and trentin gone vend and feli also out the back a minute and 24 to the pelan and a hiccup at an issue for Danny Martinez and a few others Beno Conor CAU out there too ATA falter back on his bike after a scare 226 to the peltin with 31 K and one sector to go beautiful Tuscan views Under the Tuscan Sun Intero came and went that was won by Luke pla he took three bonus seconds and after having briefly been in the virtual race lead things would continue to come back together onto the final sector they went the Gap at 2 minutes and 4 seconds flap having started the day at 233 down no Madza for him then but there was a crash behind it involved kuso and a few others and it meant that juampe Lopez caught out behind it would have a severe Chase on he’d get a little bit of help from Emanuel gbra zabat but at the front the racing was on tan ensman finding his legs after a strange start to the jeto Magnus Sheffield also helping to keep garine Thomas well position and Pacha was also always where he needed to be 1 minute and three with 6.7 K to go but a couple of nasty climbs remain it should have gone to the Breakaway but it was still in the balance down to 31 seconds on the penultimate climb of the day one more climb to the line remain just a few hundred meters but this at 20% with 4 and 1/2 km to go almost did for luk plap and then the pelan hit it a move from ran Bal followed by ER de Brooks Pacha and the rest that meant the Gap was at just 20 seconds estan Chavez would try and lead out and Andrea Picolo 26 seconds to close was a big ask but not impossible would they mess around at the front that was the question the immediate answer was no Belo Sanchez the young Spaniard Luke pla the Australian Champion julan alaf Philip looking to announce his arrival back to the big time PL not there in the Sprint he let it out alaf Filip would go then pilo Sanchez coming around just over a year after his first ever Pro win at his home buas he now became the first Spaniard to win at the J Italia in Five Seasons fourth place went to Piccolo the Breakaway taking the stage for the second day running and Jonathan n winning the Sprint from the rest of the bunch no change in the top 10 in the general classification a life changing moment though for pelo Sanchez on jro debut a jro stage winner Marv star doing it for the 24th time down the year they’ve been coming to the jeto Sanchez alaf FIP and pl with Piccolo narv mesg Hermon Schulz and the rest all in the first group another day in pink for T poacha he leads by 46 seconds ahead of G Thomas 47 in front of Martinez no change whatsoever in the top 10 as they then go to the time trial two time checks on the way by modern standards a long time trial with a very nasty sting in the tail to peda an uphill finish a fourth category climb and 40.6 km a very interesting route as the jro contenders take on the clock [Music] [Music]

    1. Why can't I watch the highlights in the trash Eurosport app I paid for?! Just shows me "not available in your country" shit.

    2. Its pretty clear that Pogi is almost out there competing by himself. Hes not getting much assistance from his team. Yes they are helping but when the pace picks up and the climbing starts they are just dropping off. During the last sector of gravel he didnt have any teammates with him (eventually he had 1 teammate on the last gravel sector) but he was using INEOS to keep with the leading pack. The past few days UAE was 14th in team classification but apparently today they climbed up to 10th but its just a sign that his team isn't very strong

    3. INEOS is doing a lot better job than most expected. Personally I expected a great performance from them and they are doing great. They've been 1st in team classification since the beginning except they did drop to 3rd for a day but again today they are back in 1st so they've got a good strong team and its showing. G is doing well. Jut because you see him losing ground during some of these attacks, thats normal for him. He will gradually pull himself back at a nice steady pace. He doesnt react well to sudden attacks. He doesnt have that kind of speed to cover sudden attacks

    4. I feel bad for Plappy tho. He was doing all that work and deserved that stage win but he was with Alaphellipe who I actually expected to win the stage but Sanchez did as little work as possible and bamboozled Alaphillepe and Plappy to take the stage. Personally I'm not a fan of that style of riding (I'm just old school I guess) but riders do it cos its effective. Conserve what energy you can for that final km. I would have loved to have seen Plappy get the stage win tho. I'd even be happy to see Alaphellipe win just to show Leferve that hes still a great rider and maybe Leferve will get off his high horse and leave him alone now!!!
