Stage 1 of the Tour of Hungary unfolded with a captivating narrative as TDT-Unibet’s sprinter, Nicklas Pedersen, prepared to face off against his childhood idols, Mark Cavendish and Peter Sagan. The race started with a slow pace. However, as the final laps approached, the tension mounted, and excitement rippled through the crowd. Yet, the climax of the stage was marred by a sudden crash at the finish line. TDT-Unibet hopes that all riders who were involved in the crash are alright, wishing for a swift recovery and minimal injuries.

last time we saw you you were in the Alps this is more suitable terrain for you I think today and tomorrow is I think it’s going to be a Sprint today is completely flat big roads a little bit of wind but yeah there are some big teams here who wants that Sprint and yeah we’re going to fight for for good result today how is it for you to Sprint against guys like Kevin and like this week I think it’s really nice to compete against like the best riders in the world yeah maybe not Kev is not on his old level but he’s still like yeah what he achieved like in the past 10 years also with Sagan in the back it’s yeah it’s nice to to compete like when I was younger they were my heroes so it’s nice to not be on the same level but maybe be able to to keep the wheels today yeah today is all all about like saving energy and then positioning me for the Sprint so yeah we’re not going to do a six man lead out just uh I have a Lander and Abram in front of me uh I think that’s that’s enough they’re going to put me in a good position and hopefully I can yeah do a good result when are you satisfied after today is there like yeah in my mind I have like a top five but yeah you can also be eight and be satisfied it’s like if I can get the possibility to do my own Sprint like in the wind uh then would be nice it’s also quite difficult as a sprinter because you can choose like the wrong way and you’ll get blocked of a lead out guy or something like that so yeah I think the most important thing is that we do what we’ve discussed uh follow the plan and then yeah we’ll see how the legs are
