Yes, I’ve jumped on a plane and arrived in Germany. Have briefly visited Munich and Stuttgart , but here we’re in a town Tubingen visiting its automotive (and clock/toy) museum. Passenger vehicles/sports cars from Ferrari, Austin Healey, Porsche, MG, Mini, BMW, but also race cars from BMW, Chevron, Lotus, Lola, etc… Oh, there are race motorbikes too, but I’m unable to shed much light on those. All in all, a great place to visit if the nearby Mercedes Benz and Porsche museums, plus the lightly further away Mazda Museum (Augsburg) and the BMW Museum (Munich). Wow, heaps to see if cars are your thing.

[Music] I’m not a total dumbass what the heck is that that’s not a well yeah can confirm Germany has Porsches sh hey you good everyone Daniel welcome to a wasab cars video I’m in Germany in a place called tubing and there’s the Box [Music] stop Museum well let’s find out what it’s all about one thing I’m truly enjoying at this top floor of the boxing stop museum is the audio sure it’s piped through speakers but the sounds are glorious as other sites this Lola that Chevron BMW forgive me I’m not quite across the whole setup I’m here to learn and this video is of questionable educational value but it is just a record of my life and that’s why I’m putting it up on YouTube and for those who are following the wasid cars journey I do thank you I also hope you get a bit out of this but uh it’s so great to be here in Germany some gorgeous cars this Porsche 900 something I’ll get to that in a sec but I’m sure there was an episode with the niss or Porsche sorry niss or Prince uh or Skyline let’s leave it at that which um sort of marked the the the beginnings of the of the GTR as a as a heavy hitter wasn’t it I believe so um 9006 Carrera 6 but absolutely gorgeous shape truly swoopy and gorgeous and now this car here also Chevron and there was totally that little uh toy car downstairs and I made some remark about uh Hard Castle and McCormick thank you big shout out to uh the pipe noises that is just sexiness people look at that [Music] gorgeous oh the screaming is incredible there we go absolutely gorgeous oh my Lord it would be so great to see these scream down the track tubigan that’s where I am oh that’s that’s special but it’s so great to be here people so yeah it’s race cars it’s uh miniature cars as well as you can see in the background uh look at the knockoffs that is gorgeousness yeah so basically I’m just here to drill and like learn stuff and be exposed to brands that I just have no information on coopa I’m seeing them from the center caps of the wheels it’s got a Norton engine in it we’ve got a big block Chevy powered dragster over there was like 7 something second4 mile uh what else we got we’ve got what’s this one this is a l so there’s a few of these here today and they’re just gorgeous beautiful sweepy lines um Maserati not looking too similar to their modern efforts but you know sexy and gorgeous and like that’s look at these ventilated [Music] brakes yeah this is so cool absolutely incredible so good to be [Music] here just Gorgeous Race a foto I mean that takes me back to when I was in baist you know and another Automotive Museum the uh seeing all the holdin and Fords and a few other cars as well but uh Heidi fodo was totally erased the BST one it became the bath 1000 if it wasn’t exactly the bath 1000 but so good now I’m at the top floor at the second and we’re going to go down to the next floor and I think we got like land speed record type cars yeah there we go I totally recall seeing these from books when I was sort of uh at the beginning of my journey for cars oh oh we got okay we got some cars and then we got bikes and I really have limited information for you but I really hope you enjoy the visual but we’re going to just scoot through this and get downstairs to the floor I thought we were going to which is the Lance spe record stuff jaah yeah shout out to your work on Star Wars oh NSU I know that uh acronym right I’m not a complete dumbass see what I did there uh uh lightweight bikes some aerody damis and a little sidecast scenario very very cool right yeah I got to keep a low key people I don’t want to be all up in other people’s uh personal space hey okay here we got some cool cars [Music] um yeah I’m of course on the lookout for Opals if you see any Opals let me know okay Morgan which uh again shout out to the Morgan we saw yesterday this Lloyd is fascinating I want to want to know all about that there we go that has looks like it’s been squeezed out of a chicken’s bomb I believe is the expression that is absolutely gorgeous very very nice as is the jaguar up front which we’ll get to in just a sec uh oh yeah super Morgan sports with the whole freaking two cylinder at the front that’s not bad um is it a trike is it a three-legged dog we’re never going to know little toy car presumably that’s not a real Morgan um yeah of course not what am I saying what the heck am I saying a f it okay that’s a cool looking Mini too by the way and it’s the wheels those ATS 5 spers which I totally saw on a 210 Skyline but that is looking really really cool I’m ke to see whatever that silver thing is BMW hello okay uh a fat Topolino I’m sure I’ve nailed the pronunciation right hand drive okay okay a mini as mentioned who doesn’t love Tartan seats people can we just get back to a place where Tartan cloth inserts is a thing on cars seriously um what’s his name Elon Musk has he got a plaid version of something I just heard that does it have plaid it better have but that’s a cool looking mini thank you and then this one here that is totes E coupe 700 sport um we’re not playing we’ve got some ventilation oh wait a minute uh leftand Drive cool ass bucket seats that’s gorgeous did it that is very very cool yep just soaking in the sights there and did I not see one of these when I was in a mystery location in CTO City I wonder I want wonder I wonder now this was of course a previous time what year let me just get to the year uh 2 cylinder 700 CCS wow 55 metric horsepower 150 top speed 1962 that is very very cool but what struck me just then is that what an absolute travesty of automotive construction and you know hey it’s fine I’m not like being so serious but uh obviously things have changed for BMW yeah that is so very very very cool okay so there’s like restaurant staff here I mean is she trying to say something I feel I feel I feel I don’t know turned on no um yeah there restaurant there we’ll skip that but this Jaguar is absolutely gorgeous absolutely gorgeous look at that paper you really get the handcrafted the irregularities absolutely gorgeous twoone that is giving me uh you know that is AB gorgeous yeah yeah yeah I mean just the sheet metal work and like even um rudimentary sheet metal work like pot riveted flat sheet you know what I mean um stainless aluminium I’m not going to tap it um aluminium aluminum there we go the card’s got a breathe and this old helmet helmets totally sounds like a German name Lista spinny caps there center caps yeah gorgeousness and this Lloyd what the heck somewhat different to that top uh sorry that pro street car downstairs wow loving it people yeah having a ball what’s in here more stuff so we’re going to go back downstairs to the first floor and we saw some cool cars down there oh Buick uh Buick uh stood a big Hawk stood a hawk wow actually some very cool cars in there anyway I think we got some Ferraris to the left to the left 328 GTB is that okay clearly it’s not the Magnum pi1 but uh absolutely gorgeous and we’ve got like a Ferrari over there is that a pin and finina 250 GT coupe that is a complete guess people because I totally read the sign earlier uh the lines you know they’re not quite uh they’re not quite to my uh what’s the word Noob eyes my my untrained eye it doesn’t scream Ferrari to me but pen finina shout out for the sweet work people 250 GT pin for a coupe 12 cylinder damn people yeah it is gorgeous and presumably this is how it looked when they got it from uh bring a trailer big shout out to everyone and I also shout out to my buddies uh on the car is going to kick on and be famous that’s is this in gorgeous condition truly gorgeous yeah beautiful lines ah jeez so nice that totally is like coffee flavored coffee it’s a Porsche looking Porsche really nice am I drilling too much yeah and this Austin Healey gorgeous I love and loving that uh color combo but it’s got distinctive beautiful lines as well and um there we go yogb very very nice and then from here we’ve got a bit of a mixed bag I Don’t Know Jack about that car Mercedes Shaw era I don’t know uh Marcus Winkle Hawk sorry I’m not familiar with your work I haven’t followed whatever class of racing this is but that’s uh that is one old car look at these seats people look at the effort put into the trimming of those seats yeah that’s incredible um firew dashboard very cool of course that’ll be a that’ll be just snaps in there I’m sure of it got to have snaps people and then from here we’ve got a a mixed bag within a mixed bag Lloyd uh Pro Street you know from the era in the early ’90s was it mid 90s early ’90s Billet and stuff um uh fascinating looks to be a 357 well at least a small block Chevrolet engine El BR carburetor that’s fascinating you know um funky funky funky and uh that’s the museum we’re at in tubing so I’m assuming Lloyd are a German company people I have no information but I’m sure that represents like a a German company they have that at the end Breman that’s presumably a place name oh what a sick Jager m yeah that’s a hot looking Porche isn’t it people absolutely gorgeous yeah all the stuff and then from here we got more bikes I mean oh what I what the heck is a linto I mean no disrespect I just am clueless Harley Davidson out the back there I mean I just don’t know these brands people I mean like BSA thank you I’ve heard of that one pelli it’s a sweet bike but what um yeah there you go oh hello Alp Romeo zagato Junior Z Junior Zed did see one of these in the early days of Wasabi cars was a red one I was rusting and someone contacted me about purchasing it for parts they lived in Tokyo and it uh soon disappeared so I’m just going to connect the dots whether they were connected or not Volkswagen Caron gear black roof 1. So cool Daniel, I did not know this place existed.
The man who taught me my trade raced an NSU Sportmax bike at the Isle of Man back in the fifties. Beautiful bike.
A German by the name of Winkelhock raced at Bathurst back in the I wanna say Group A days I seem to recall. Had a big go at the British touring cars as well. His twin sons race in the modern 12 hour at Bathurst as well.
Many thanks for sharing, you're appreciated brother.

    2. Wait? You're in Germany and not far away from me at that! And I'm not at home right now. 😮😢 Rats. Will watch it later.

    3. Good to see you enjoying yourself!
Lloyd was a brand owned by Borgward, a small German car manufacturer that was too small to survive by itself. Early 1960s the same thing happened in Germany as in Japan: the government wanted to support larger car manufacturers and smaller manufacturers to merge. Borgward tried to expand to survive but was denied this by a high ranking politician that also owned shares in BMW. There is a whole conspiracy theory about this. Borgward was producing luxury cars with the focus on performance. You could compare them to Prince. When Borgward was bankrupted, the Dutch importer of Borgward had to switch to another brand of cars. Guess which promising Japanese performance brand they picked! PMC! 😂
So three years later they had to switch again as Prince merged with Nissan and Nissan already setup their own dealer network in the Netherlands. They decided to become a BMW dealer instead. Anyway, that's a way too long sidestep…
If you're in the future coming to Germany again, perhaps come to the Netherlands for a few days. We have the Louwman Museum with a genuine Toyota AA that was pulled from a Russian farmland and also the Louwman Toyota museum with various amazing race cars like a turbocharged Toyota 7 and the most famous Celica Turbo TA64 rally car driven by Björn Waldegård that won the safari rally two times.

    4. Woah, we just missed each other, Daniel. I was in Germany last week. I'm in Brussels right now. I would have bought you that bier I said I would in the last place I would expected.

    5. That was a very interesting little museum Dan
There is a few million bucks worth of cars in that place
The lister jaguar and that Ferrari 250 gt
Looking forward to you at the Mercedes Museum that was somewhere I always wanted to see
      Happy travels 👍👍🇦🇺

    6. That 906 is stunning. I dream to see one in the flesh one day 😁
And it was the porsche 904 that pushed prince to build the S54 Skyline to knock the porsche off the podium

    7. So watched the video now. Oh, you were also in Stuttgart. Nice.
I was in Kindergarten with the niece (I think niece it was) of Winkelhock.
Interesting @7:11 it says it´s allowed to sit in that display.
      @7:45
Italy once was right hand drive. But I think this was before the time of the car. But dunno from when that car is. 🤔
