After the steep, multi-hour ascent out of Berchtesgaden, the descent off Torrener Joch offers up narrow, crushed limestone singletrack that rolls out for miles. Affectionately known as “torture joch”, the climb up from Berchtesgaden starts on pavement that turns to dirt and necks down to doubletrack. At the pass, the route becomes narrow trail with some hike-a-bike sections on the way down. After about 2,000 feet of vertical descent, the route widens to doubletrack. This POV video of Torrener Joch mountain biking was produced by TRAILSOURCE.COM in September 2015.
