Riber road near Matlock Bath (Largest inland resort in the UK) in Derbyshire and a Mecca for motorcyclists from all over Europe. Riber Castle used to be a zoo when we were kids and it stands high on a hill overlooking Matlock. This road heads towards Matlock Bath and as the video ends it stands several hundred feet down in the valley to the right. Is there a road you know of that is worse than this one? I wouldn’t take my car up here although many years ago I did come down here in a lorry! FYI The music has been added as the video had to be muted due to unacceptable noise levels because for some reason it was producing just a high pitched constant screech when editing the video even though the actual video plays and sounds normal. Thank you for reading, that’s less than 7% of you, believe it or not and watching.

    1. Definition of worst is a problem for me. I did Wrynose and Hardknott passes yesterday heading west,in a car. My dilemma is, both passes are way worse than that. Therefore by default, way better!

    2. Shockingly narrow with so many turns where nothing is visible until you are there!! Definitely for motorcycles!! As you were riding past those houses, I was thinking how crowded they were, both to the street and each other. I'm definitely a country girl who likes to live far from everyone else!! Beautiful valley and loved the hills on the other side with the rock walls separating the fields.

    3. A good biker would’ve been doing 60 down that mate 😂
Where is this ? It looks picturesque 😍
      Stay safe out there mate.

    4. That reminded me of several roads in the Welsh valleys near Neath/Port Talbot. Steep, restricted visibility, though not generally many motorcycles – so guess who would be riding! Incidentally, thanks for adding the comments, always appreciated.

    5. Hi Mate, hope your well, well after that that was like being on a roller coaster, that was a steep decent, stunning scenery now you don that , may be when you come over to the land of my fathers, go to the North West and head for Harlech in Gwynedd the road is in dispute for being the steepest or the second steepest road, in the world it's in dispute with a road in New Zealand, it is very steep, I bet it was nice to be on two wheels for a change.
Take care mate, catch you soon
