A trip to Yorkshire to ride with some friends from Paria’s cafe in Leeds. Annoyed all manner of people but the stoke was high and my new bike is a dream. Snacks and beers included 😎🤘🏼

hello today I am in Sunny actually a bit rainy leagues and I’m going on the Pariah calf ride with some of my friends so I thought I’d take you along for the ride and see where we end up um even though I’ve been wearing prior since 2018 and they’ve had a c for probably at least a few months maybe a year never managed to go because it is a 7-hour drive from where I live so she big a little ride got Riley the gravel bike with me and um yeah looking forward to meeting some people getting outside and try some new trails so yeah let’s go found some trails and some blue bells lovely okay so is it the front one it’s the front one so of course me in true style some I’ve broken something already and I’ve got a loose bolt so um I did offer to use the spanner and Alan King myself but Jack very kindly volunteered himself to keep my streak of not speaking spanner and Alan key thanks Jack in betweeny mod is the worst like so so far we have done 14.4 miles oh uhoh uh so we’ve just stopped to we just Rod across some grass and I don’t know if some people have had a bit of a mechanical or something so sto for a snack and it’s 45k what’s 45k in Miles 30 just 30 just another 30 miles so yeah we’re like halfway through uh done a bit of mixed rain we’ve been through some woods and some muds and some grass a very busy road so I’m excited to see oh and a lovely bike path it’s quite nice you can get in and out of leads on a nice gr bike path so yeah weather’s held out it’s definitely mizzling a little bit and it’s in betweeny weather like it’s too cold to take your arms off but too hot with them on so just going to ride it out and we’re not doing a calf stop started from prior CF going to finish in Prior CF um and then I’m going to eat all the snacks there is some talk of beer I mean be rude not to wouldn’t it so yeah onwards Y for the win right we’re just going to do a bit of sheep rounding it’s well bumpy made it through the sheep with no incidents I saying I know that if uh dogs bore the Sheep they get shot uh we’re hoping that that doesn’t apply to cyclists as well Countryside rules things you see on a random brid way it’s some really nice Villages around here got a lot of time for Yorkshire must be a nice place to live so far we’ve managed to annoy some Farmers we were on a designated you know right away and now we’re next to a golf course so maybe we’ve annoyed them as well um and some busy roads doesn’t matter where you go does it there’s always someone that just doesn’t like cyclist we are riding very courteously I just think that if you’re wearing light C A stride a bicycle people just don’t like you very much do they and there’s not really much you can do but um yes anyway onwards also you may have noticed that I uh have got some funky new threads did my intro in my old Jersey and then I’ve been waiting to come to paraya for ages because I haven’t had any new kit for ages it’s quite nice to come and check out the new kit although still waiting for a lot of the women’s new stop to come in but yeah I’m a slinky leopard now just makes you much faster if you’re dressed like a leopard what am I even talking about maybe I need some more food also I haven’t made many videos recently and um get really self-conscious talking to you guys around lots of other people so work my way up to talking to some people in a bit instead of sneaky sneaky filming away from everybody else oh it’s so fun I’m so awkward so I’ve been assured that this is some Prestige local gravel I’m here for it let’s go so we came out this way from the city of Leeds well Chapel Allon which is north Leeds I think and um yeah it’s really nice cuz you’ve got this quite long gr section that keeps you off all the busy main roads so of all the cities I’ve cycled in this was quite a nice little chill get out of the city look awesome oh we love a bridge oh nearly back at the calf now just got sent up a pretty decent Hill just to empty the legs before we finish ride really has had everything uh and we’re back so just going to go back in the calf get some foodoo big hill got some post ride refreshment [Music] right then came into the middle Le to meet my phone for a drink just navigated the very busy part of leads shopping center people everywhere not where I’m used to being from Cornwell but um what a make a day out thanks to PRI CF and all of my friends for organizing just got to navigate a bit more of the city to get back and um yeah I’ve had the best day out so I’ve made my way out of the city I love it City riding I think being from Cornwall it’s like something I really enjoy cuz it’s so different I mean I grew up thinking that pth is one of the biggest cities in the world leads is in London but yeah it was fun had such a good [Music] day there a lot of very expensive cars around here um but there’s a bike lane WooHoo for bike Lanes uh thank you so much for coming along for the ride I’ve had a great day sorry if this uh video was a little bit
