That is the face of a man who knew exactly what was going to be done to him, and he was willingly making that sacrifice for someone else. Throwing away his own Wrestlemania moment, his own Finish The Story, his own first World Title, to tell the story that will follow in the next weeks to months. At what point did Creative tell him that he would be winning and immediately dropping his first world championship on the biggest stage of them all? And I wonder how he reacted before accepting that once the story is written, the only way to change it much of the time is to get injured before the match even happens or break contract and go rogue during the match.
It would be a little different if we'd never seen an immediate cash in before- but these days its practically expected. The only way this story could have surprised us would have been if Punk had gotten in the ring after his attack and stopped Priest from winning his cash in setting up a triple threat for the future. Frankly that might have made a much better story- say that his sights are on Drew, not on Damian, and if Priest wants that title, he's going to have to earn it the old fashioned way. But what's done is done- a wasted wrestlemania moment.

I love that Drew is a huge POS as a character but the fans support him because his backstory is sympathetic. He’s almost a tweener, because he’s so funny and he’s understandably tired of being passed over.

This match between Seth "Freakin" Rollins vs Drew Mclntyre for the WWE world heavyweight title was a great pure pro-wrestling match between two excellent wrestlers I really liked this match and Drew was world champion for 5 minutes heavyweight champion in WWE it was a great moment and Damian Priest cashing in the money in the bank was a great moment I'm very happy he's the new WWE world heavyweight champion 🔥🔥🔥🖤🖤
The fact this was the first match on night 2 was very odd to me .
He should not have been emotional instead he should be looking at cm punk and straight forward took title and tell punk in face whose the champ
I fully expected Damien to come out while he was slowly reaching for the title..
It felt so tense… like he was afraid it wouldn't actually reach his fingers. His reaction to just getting the title and holding it was actually really beautiful.
