slow taking a look at this place 14 Liverpool Road and I do believe that this is called Advanced business software and solutions limited it looks like a big data center to me there is no sign on the building at all that I can see so far this vehicle has just arrived let’s see if we can hear anything yeah no signs on there either to say what the company name is how about over there got a security here on the public footway so what other signs have we got then let’s walk a little bit further down it’s very very high security here got Gates all over the place look turn Styles more gates traffic lights into come here let’s see where he is being alled to oh we got a vehicle lock Double Gates so there’s no risk of anybody tailgating there look it actually says no tailgating but even if you wanted to they only let one car through at a time [Music] so it’s waiting for the green light it’s going in the middle and as that one closes the other one will open so the vehicle has now made its way to this shutter and it does look like it’s a member of stuff because he’s got the lanyard and the security card to get him through the door so it was a bit of a pain wasn’t it just for a member of staff to get in looks like this is the staff car park quite a few cars parked in here with some bins what we got in the bins I can’t quite see I’m at the wrong angle for the bins maintenance vehicle of some sort there do we have any signs on the actual shutter itself a loading Bay just the normal fire exit so no signage on the building at all to say what it is and more importantly no CCTV warning signs oh we’ve got somebody looking to the left at this Cyrus one building gentleman over there showing an interest he’s been filming over there and now he’s filming us yeah hopefully they stay out of it it’s not their video at the moment it’s the place on the right you might get your turn later guys what’s this Edward stand pipes it’s locked maybe a tap for the gardener cuz it does look very well recently acquired a company from meria in 2003 no idea um anyway I’m just doing a little little bit of uh citizen journalism about the company okay okay this is just to get the footage I need to put the video onto YouTube That’s all were a couple of weeks back were you filming down the road no but there are a lot of people that do this type of thing yeah yeah yeah um citizen journalism nowadays a lot more people are watching it because it shows the truth the media only put out the narrative don’t they yeah so if we just show people the truth um these data centers I don’t know whether you’re but they’re becoming more popular and land is being purchased businesses are being forced out to make way for data centers and it’s not very fair fair they’ve got they’ve got big budgets mhm and if they want a piece of land they will get that piece of land to build their data center that’s absolutely fine I I have no objection to anything I’m just asking what’s going on yeah basically doing some journalism from the from the public foot path now what can you do for me cuz I’ve done I’ve been very helpful to you yeah what do you need um why is there no signs on the building to tell people what it is I have no idea how do couriers and people find they have an address what 14 Y and you don’t mention your company name on any deliveries why though it’s just the way it is I’m seeing that more and more with data centers like they’re trying to hide I don’t think that they’re actually trying to hide you can find everything on 14 Road online but even that business name doesn’t say it’s a data center does it do you know what I mean on the um the Google Maps tag Advanced business software and solutions limited you wouldn’t really know and what I’m trying to get out is is there some sort of heightened alert yep one second I’m just on my way back is there just is there some sort of heightened um security that you’re something you’re scared of cuz I’ve never heard of a data center being targeted by by terrorists or anything like that have you I I haven’t heard anything like that no but I don’t think it’s anything to do with that aspect I think more or less the is information that’s all it is stored information that’s what the data centers are used for now don’t forget that they w’t be just in one place they’ll be in multiple so I don’t see where it would be that much of a critical issue if you get where I’m coming from yeah with the the vehicle lock how it’s really difficult for people to gain entury even the staff have to press the intercom and show their ID yes and you must have a camera there so the physically checkin the driver is the person on the ID is so security is like a old class is like a prison that sort of tight everything about it screams you want to stay unknown stealth major it major and I’m wondering why you know if this place went down who would it affect is it going to have a big impact on somebody you know what I mean is it that important this place do you think not really I wouldn’t say so I wouldn’t say so and that’s personal personal that’s my personal opinion but anyway um my name’s we but I’m DJ yeah nice to meet you i’ take it really dealing with public is he he’s inhouse security obviously employed by the company cuz he had the company ID there and he just doesn’t really interact with the public so we’ll let him off on that one nothing more to see from the outside the time has come to get David up and let’s see what this place looks like from above so as always we’ve checked on drone assist there are no flight restrictions in the area at all oh we got the police here 10 Valley police neighborhood police in they’re not here for me that’s the main thing so let’s go and have a look at it shall we [Music] off little Noy what the police are doing over here is that a hotel I think they pulled into the hotel car down there but the building that we are focusing on today this massive one here and they do have a little cutout in the roof that is directly above the offices so will that be airon yeah that’s the airon they didn’t want it to be on display looks a bit ugly so they hit it and what are their gutters looking like got to do something useful haven’t we they’re fine aren’t they very clean and you’ll notice the wire that they use to clip onto when they’re doing roof on the sorry works on the roof and they’ve even got a handrail across there a ladder going down the maintenance on that very safe here’s the vehicle lock just down here you’ve seen how secure the place is they’ve even got a skip look do you have a look what’s in there nothing in the skip really just a dead body looks weird didn’t it that they wrapped it up like that what is it an old tent gazebo tarping something along them lines the shutters are of course closed and this vehicle is just coming through now but we’ve seen plenty of vehicles come through the vehicle lock haven’t we and that’s the scale of the place only to see down the side no that’s a neighboring company which looks like another data center look at all that calling there looks like it might be joined as well yeah I think that’s an extension how does that get access oh through that little road there look at all that imagine the electricity required to power these data centers so if it’s linked there we’ll just have a quick look to see if it’s linked at the back and yes it is so all this calling is also part of the same Data Center that is mental is it look at all that imagine the heat being pumped out of this and of course they need a little Sub Station very close by and he says oh it won’t be a big deal if this place goes down not many people will be affected yeah right this place is critical for somebody anyway that was Advanced Business they won’t drop any information or whatever it is they must be very important to if you to come like a few months ago the massive one over the road they just finished building all right should have in the generator going on the left when you go over the bridge okay just before you’ll see it there the generator is going in the back like it now why is there so many in this area they just started doing a lot more of them I think they’re easier say it’s like changing now from a trading estate to I know I know a company that’s been kicked off the land because they want to the data Cent paid enough money to make the landlord say Okay gu that’s where the money is yeah but what about the businesses that this is a trading estate exactly lot of businesses are dying aren’t they yeah well nice customers and stuff not really everyone knows I mean if you Google it Amazon IBM I don’t know they Amazon and IBM that building mix is Amazon so Cyrus one is what IBM right I mean you’re renting yeah yeah but you know like if a place like this went down would normal members of the public be affected in any way not really cuz say like it’s all redundant if they had the service for the government website let just say yeah and it went down some users of that website won’t be able to get on will they yeah but what sort of what sort of like passports or no it’s not they don’t store all their data in one side right it’s always in different sides so if one goes down the other one picks up cuz it made me wonder the security is so high it’s like if this one went down that would be it so they want to protect any sort of attempt to Arsen the place you know what I mean or any terrorist attack but you’re if this went down the one couple of mile away will kick in different cities so the data is not just here then just a part of the data is here or is it duplicated duplicated is it really so nothing goes down completely you finding more and more data centers are popping up yeah that’s the future it isn’t it and this this used to be like a trading estate didn’t it it is but then if it’s full of data centers it’s not really a business trading estate is it it’s now just a big Warehouse full of servers isn’t it yeah no businesses going on is it really well that’s that’s the part of it they have to be redundant security what you mean by redundant um whatever we have here for example if the customer store anything here they probably a store in a different city in the UK yeah or probably somewhere in Europe America so one side goes down nothing will happen so there’s always a backup of the data that’s stored in a place like this it’s interesting to know I’m still learning but why haven’t they got more solar panels on them U we don’t deal with this facility just yeah I know yeah you
