that’s another away away win on the board how are you feeling after that cuz you’re so close to what you set out to achieve at the start of the season now yeah we’re give ourselves a chance obviously going into the last game but you’ve still got to get a positive result the weekend but look we knew how I mean we trained all week um we hadn’t had the sprinklers on the pitch we tried to make it as like rough and as ugly as we could cuz we knew obviously seeing Charlton play here last week and that we knew how difficult it’s going to be and if anything some up League one it was like a game like today it was just completely different to the game we had last week at Pride Park and so I just said to the lads there and I had much respect for it because there’s different ways to win I mean it was look I’m not disputing the fact there’s times where we could have probably brought the ball down and that and I think the last took us too literal that we could get him behind but the way we defended and that I thought we deserved our win we the U woodwork Twice first half we just needed that second goal to probably make it a more comfortable game but that’s how it is at the end of the season the everything gets cranked up everything every tackle every Eder everyone can feel it these are fighting for their lives as we are at the other end so overall um yeah pleased pleased with the win and the performance doesn’t matter luckily uh lovely goal for you to win it as well great ball from Lou sibl and Nat kept his call and rolled the ball into the empty net yeah brilliant ball from Louie I mean in fin he he took his time we’re all like screaming at him like that’s in that’s in and obviously we know we’ve got Pace at the top end uh so yeah great ball from Lou and he he he done as much for the goal as Nat did but when Nat went round him I was just thinking it’s one of them days that might slip or something so we had a few um good chances early on so yeah really pleased for Lou done well you know he’s playing left wing back doing really well um so yeah all in all you know in another game you know I wanted to put more Pace on but just said to the lads in there then I thought all the players for this game were on the pitch and the changes we made for this game I could have put you know electric Pace on but you might lose a bit of physicality or you can put something else on so I thought we done the changes we could Kane got a dead leg that’s why he had to come off but hopefully he’ll be okay so yeah good goal and that’s probably the only bit of true quality in in the game so uh that and the singing uh were the two highlights I think you found so many different ways to win games this season you’ve been so Resolute as well is that just sort of symptomatic of the Season that you’ve just found a way to win and you’ve up to whatever’s been thrown at you as a team yeah well thanks yeah I think so like it’s difficult to win football games I said to the ls before the game like like not everyone’s a winner not everyone can do everything it takes to win not everyone’s prepared to put their body on the line not everyone’s prepared to chase the goalkeeper in the 90th minute but our team they are and hence why they’ve won loads of games look I’m not disputing the fact we could have played better today but I’m not bothered I’m just just want to win and then like I said when people come in and see the result you know we’ve won and that’s all we can do and I would have took it so yeah really pleased you know I asked the lads to you know don’t feel the pressure of the game but feel the pressure in the moment so like you got to be brilliant of winning your head is you got to be brilliant to getting your body on the line you got to be brilliant picking up from throwin they’re the things you put pressure on yourself not the not the result just wor about your own game and the result will look after yourself so it did today uh which I’m really pleased with so that’s 30 away wins in The League season now that’s a club record that’s a fantastic achievement for absolutely everybody involved because no one can take that away from you and you think when you took over and we came here in uh October 22 Derby haden’t won away from home last season hadn’t scored a goal and now you’re setting Club records yeah I mean that’s obviously down I mean I’m just the spokesman as you well know it’s down to everyone at the football club so but we’ve got a great team I thought we’ve actually had like a a PFA Dream Team on the bench today I thought a bit like Harlem glow trots today but yeah to get that amount of wins like I said it take the wins are all different aren’t they like today we got the win I think cuz our back three didn’t lose ah header that’s my honest opinion of it and Joe defended the goal when need be so yeah really really proud moment for the lads it seems a bit of a cycle because we started here and then you know our last away game of the season was here and it’s a Pity we couldn’t win today uh I mean for the other 32,000 are going to come next week they probably prefer to wait but for the away following and like had my son behind the goal um had my wife behind The Dugout um so it it was it felt great and it is good but you know we we still haven’t finished it so we’ll be back in Monday again to work again and I suppose that’s the message that you delivered all week there’s still a job to do now of course it’s down to the final day to go and finish the job yeah I mean we’ve got to get a positive result next week um so yeah that’s it really I don’t know what more to say we we’ve come this far everyone’s I think I can speak for everyone here they’re exhausted I didn’t drink as much alcohol as them lot so they’re a lot happier than me but generally exhausted but we’ll go home watch the game back I don’t watch it back a bit like that I don’t know if I actually want to watch it back but uh yeah a win really pleased away from home clean sheet that’s what you need and it will take us to the next week giving ourselves a really good chance

    1. Super Warne gets the job done again.

It's not always been straightforward but absolutely a fact that having a proper manager with knowledge in what it takes to get out of this league is why we are on the brink.

    2. Wonderful, well done Warne , unless Bolton can score 10 goals away from home we are up , overall a good season, not perfect but it’s not easy to get promotions. Bring on next season

    3. So proud of this team 💪 , so proud of our fans 💪. One more win boys . Let’s shake the foundations of ‘ pride park ‘ next Saturday. 🖤🐏🐏🐏🖤 DTID

    4. That’s 1 foot back in the championship. This was the possible banana skin but the win was achieved. Shame Port Vale are so bad and couldn’t force Bolton to be mathematically out of it but it shouldn’t matter given who they play and all we need to do is not lose to the worst team in the league at home

    5. You have a top bloke who players will run through brick walls for and a team of coaches with him that care, you are very fortunate. This is from a Rothers fan! Careful what you wish for!

    6. A smidgen away from his 4th promotion from this league bonkers,, get the job done first and then (hopefully) celebrate finally having an automatic promotion next to our name.

    7. Let's have a serious performance next Saturday in order to finish the job. Let's make our party everywhere we are. Love you Rams!

    8. Well done lads and the Gaffer and his team, just one more to go , full house at PP we are gonna get it rocking all game.
      You can do it.
      YOU RAMS LETS GO..

    9. Well done paul & the team. Never thought this day would come after some performances throughout the campaign, light at the end of the tunnel has suddenly got bigger, just the bottom of the league to dispose of next week and we are back in the championship. The champagne is on ice ready!!🍾🥂

    10. Brilliant man manager of his players, terrible tactically and the worst football I’ve ever seen us play. BUT, his methods have won us the games this season and we’ve got the results, so that’s all that matters in the end. COYR

    11. Even though as a Bradford fan Paul Warnes was first a tough rival player and the tough rival manager, I've always loved his sheer delight and positivity for the game of football. A genuinely nice person. But very good at his job – you can see that, by looking at the plight of Rotherham.

I can see him doing well next season as long as you fans and the club realise that there will be bad times and support him.

    12. Dropped a boll9ck putting bird on.Made us not so fierce in the middle and put us on the back foot rest of the game. Not all birds fault but in this league Thompsons the better midfielder

    13. A game of two halves. First we could play football. Second we looked terrible. Eiran Cashin was emmense. Joe Wildsmith is the worst kicker of a ball I have ever seen. It's not just today, he's done it so many times. He can do good saves though. The defenders manned up and I appreciate the battle mentality. 1 point to go. Surely to god we can't fuck this up.
