Al fif just starting to lose contact kuso also getting distance here and know this uh Pace being set by pogar for the Soul Leader out in front Ki uh it’s not going to be enough here coming down rapidly Jonathan narv is the Ecuadorian national champion is the only man who can hold the wheel with the power of Pacha Ki still there he’s fighting he’s suffering you can see the pain on his face and so can those supporters but they will him on they’ll be dreaming of an Italian imp pick today but those dreams could be about to go up and smoke because behind that massive people Pacha the man who came to dominate this RAC is here but he’s got n of with him who Shan we talked about him earlier on this man has a turn of speed yes well he has a great turn of speed but I think POG is just going to continue on writing here he’s thinking more of the broader pitcher but he is looking around for the moment and you know he’s not giving his 100% and uh yeah it’s going to be an interesting one in the final run in and uh if they just hesitate look at each other for a moment we give an opportunity for some of the Riders who have lost contact here uh we can see Garen Thomas here you know in difficulty but again pogar just puts in this killer of a Punch t Bacha is not wasting any time at this Jiro Italia stage one and he’s trying to be number one already but he’s still resisting his n just about to go over to the top and then it’s downhill to the final 6 700 M the national champion of Slovenia the national champion of Ecuador but keep your eyes on shakman behind this is the best shakan we’ve seen for a while yes well he has been shown uh good form in the last uh in the recent weeks and you know to be up there in this company he’s definitely on a good day and we know him the Sprint as well he has quite a good kick on in a smaller group Beno Conner just off the backat there needs to get under the back of this chasing group all the way down and it’s going to be Lightning Fast finish now we saw the Twist and the turns they’ll be wary of that nervous watch for everybody involved it’s Pacha it’s n there’s just over 2 km to go on the opening stage of the jle a really tough finish the organizers added this very late but shakman is doing better than most here he’s making his way straight back on it’s Pacho taking The Descent on it’s narvas who’s with him and shakman as well then there’s a gap just less than 2 km to go now and Sean you were telling me that actually surprisingly with the climb there the 3 km Ru is in place today yes it is in place and uh we can see the reason why uh because it is very very dangerous but uh this run in now uh you know they have seen it already uh they’ve been through here and it looks like it’s going to be the three men here are going to go all the way because we can see there’s quite a gap unless they start you know looking around at each other nobody wants to do the pulling as we can see PG just looking at the others and having a look having a look further back the road as well to see what the situation is we’re approaching the first fos The flam Rouge one kilm to go of this particular jro Italia the first jro wi by poacha narvas is on his wheel shakman awaits in third place narvas by the way is is the only man out of these three who’s won a stage at this race that came back in 2020 on a rainy day still waiting to see what kind of Gap there is behind but it is looking like it’s going to be these three 700 M to go Pacha is going to be forced to lead this one out from the front behind we’ve got a move coming on it looks like it might be P pantra let’s see they’re chasing they’re going for seconds behind also there is Ki then you’ve got kuso and the rest the differences are going to be minimal but the differences have been made on day one it’s been quite the day at the J Italia as Lopez and okona Chase back on as well okon’s there 400 me to go turns to 300 now B pant is chasing he’s going up the hill trying to get there but behind as they hesitate they look now they make their move it’s shakman who goes shakman in the green behind he can’t get in front though and coming through is n n has the speed to get Beyond Pacha and he might might be the party pooper for the Slovenian on the day Pacha gains though the stage goes to Jonathan Laris a superb stage win from the man from the inos gradas Pacha has put plenty of pain into the general classification hopes of a lot of his Rivals today but it’s the inos graders who take the first stage win and the ma Roa through the brilliant Jonathan naris it was a funny old Sprint that it was a crazy crazy strange old finish all the action happened on the hill and then it almost went dead there’s celebration here because narv and Thomas have done it a hug two to philipo n wins the stage and he proves that pogacha can be beaten yeah

  1. I think that in season like this, Pogacia should try to win 3 grand tours, it's not that crazy if you look at his rivals, he won the Giro before start and TdF in the end will be won. Normally it's impossible but in this case who knows.

  2. Tadej wasn't going full pull to win stage 1. He's in it for the GC and he has the B team helping him here. Most of these guys on UAE in this race won't ride in TDF. Tadej is unbeatable if he wants to win a stage, except time trails on the flats. Jonas who? He will never win a monument race, unless others crash out.

  3. Hard to think of a more worthy winner than Narvaez! He’s been at this a while and often in the service of others… what a smack down!

  4. Afinal não é invencível…. Há gente que só o vê a ele. É um grande ciclista é, mas daí a ser invencível ainda falta um pouco. Temos que contar sempre com os outros. Parabéns ao vencedor.

  5. Man unless Pogi wasn't pegged and was just sorta doing this as an opener, I think it was a wasted match burned. Not sure if the payoff was worth it, he's got 6 weeks of grand tours on his calendar, it adds up. He knows what he's doing though, and from a fan's view, this was a great grand tour stage for once.

  6. There isn't enough competition here for pogacar. The giro is a wrap unles he falls off the bike and has to abandon. Will he lose some stages, absolutely! As you just saw today, a better sprinter got him at the line.
