UCI is stupid for doing this shit everyone starting at the same time leads to massive pileups. Do a time differed start of every 20 seconds someone goes. We tried this at some local bike riding club as they kept having issues with bike warranties due to crashes. After doing this time deferral way no more complaints about crashes. It does not matter who goes first or last it's all up to their time and the weather. So someone can go last and still win the race even though they did not finish in first place, they won based on their time across the finish line. This makes it impossible for teams to screw around with the race.
