Welcome to another episode of the #ThisIsNotForMe series, where fairly ordinary people take on extraordinary tasks in Iceland. After climbing a steep ice wall from the Vatnajökull glacier, our brave team of office workers and students hopped on Fat Bikes. They didn’t settle just for a fun “Fat bike” ride but attempted a jump into the ice-cold Icelandic river – whit their bikes! Would you dare to do it? Fat bike riding can be both a winter or summer activity. Initially, they were designed to ride in heavy snow, but they do exceptionally well going through deep puddles, mud, rocks, or even streams. If you feel intimidated by the big wheels and the extra weight of the fat bikes, you can rent an electric fat bike to help you get through the more challenging parts of your trip.
