British national in lagen torque energy this is Todd’s first big ebike race Indie print in Stoke and then a few people have said they’re really gnarly what a place you think you’ve landed on your feet I got R goat on the road yeah it should be fun not nice at all there goes my sun guard ly Loy l oh my God this is like nothing I’ve ever ridden really yeah the seeding bit that we’re been timed on five four yo guys how’s it going right this weekend is a biggie we’ve got the first British national in lagen and that’s 40 minutes north of Fort William we weren’t going to go to this but we got reached out to by um a subscriber called Mark Willis who’s um just seems like a really nice guy and he lives up there and works on some cool Posh State um and said we can there which is amazing it’s 7 and 1/2 hour drive from here first of all massive thanks to talk energy we are back on with them which is Ace so they’ve sorted us out with loads of well I haven’t even looked in here properly yet we not not too sure about that don’t think they’re very compar com tell people about the mixed reviews we’ve had on the uh the tracks where we racing a few people have said don’t get too excited they they’re not very good and then a few people have said they’re really gnarly so hopefully they’re somewhere in between in so you got your bike you got extra tires and wheels and anything like that no no minimal space yeah you don’t need it there going to where it’s from [Music] Scotland we have made it to a village called King Gussy thanks to Kyle driving quite a lot and Todd sleeping quite a lot and Mark’s coming out to meet us cuz I think he lives literally in the middle of nowhere and he said we’ll never find it there he is [Music] there we are wow this is us what what a place what a place you think you’ve landed on your feet lucky boys what what did you say to Sunny who couldn’t make it unlucky Sunny is a bit is it next time son so this is all our tack we are fully loaded and uh that’s all our stuff in there well set for a weekend of riding and racing and having fun look at that so we have settled in at the house and uh we are now with Mark situated there say hello how’s it going and uh Mark is taking us over to the race site where we can sign on tonight which we didn’t realize so we’re extra bonus means we got a bit more time for faffing tomorrow morning 38 here we are at the center center of it all lagen wolf tracks yeah so we’re doing we’ve got to actually do a seaing run tomorrow which is pretty cool so guys when have you seen one of these super super rare bikes I’m going to get it on the channel actually never seen one in the UK the Uno this is the guy who originally invented mondraker and designed now and then he left and set up his own company just your average your average goat on the road pretty standard right so we are about to uh well Todd’s put some it in the oven that sounds amazing um I didn’t make it Mark misses huge thank you for it she brought us venison lasagna obviously uh from around here so that’s going to be lovely and we got some venison sausages for the morning so just down here by where we’re staying there is is it called a Glenn when you got a stream in Scotland I never really know but uh I’m going to check it out me and Rodney now so that we can I don’t know whether he’s doing it but I’m going to come for a dip in the morning to wake myself up check it out look at that proper job oh you got some Spud in with it as well they the spuds you brought yeah got plenty of time so time to put the drink in me FID quter past 10 and I’m going to withit the sack see you tomorrow hopefully it’s not raining it’s been pissing down all night no night rodne morning it is 20 past 6 and uh time for a bit of a wild Plunge had some fresh snow last night look at that oh looks so cold C is going weird now I’m awake Rodney Rodney Rodney there you go sunshine venis and sausages will be ready shortly look at the life in him that is are you one of them people who’s dead serious and is locked who you’re up against or you’re not bothered he was going to rock up there so just just ride enjoy it yeah and just tell people what we’ve got to do today with the seeding and stuff oh seeding yeah um so practice in the morning I believe yeah and then stage five I think yeah we got to do a seeding run down there yeah and that’ll give us that start position for the Sun I think yeah all ready Todd is finally ready obviously he’s the one kept us waiting standard let’s get over to laging look who we bumped into hello Mr Gray chambi hey pretty much set up got the boards on like that don’t you and it’s busy it’s a very busy uh race field it’s only what it’s only 3° this is insane for like May nearly foodwise Rodney is going with a Japs flap and uh a bar and I’m going with a Japs flap a bar and one gel for today that’ll do for today Superstar back from New Zealand been a while you all right how’s it collone yeah she’s doing Super Carry there thanks that was too many words right so we got a bit of a bit of a ride now to um go over to registration or well over to the tracks we’ve already registered so I guess we can go straight to stage one apparently it’s about 25k today and about 1200 M of climbing so we’re going to state in trail get through that quite easy they means as it’s 3° um obviously got the new Troy Leon I’ve got one of me specially made vests on underneath uh Troy Lee winter Jersey and the 100% gillet some of my older ion trousers and I got the fox Flats on todne is rocking the full Royal I have actually been to Lagan once before in about probably 2014 with my mate bicks we just rode the trail Center and it was the first video I ever did on YouTube but it wasn’t it was my own personal YouTube account and I’m going to put that in the description you can have a laugh at that howad early practicing yeah early practicing 10 years all right mate you yeah good you haven’t been out yet no no so we need to go one to one to three stages first then we pick up our chip between 11:00 and 2 and it is seeding at 2:00 on stage five so we need to make sure we’ve done stage five before we seed it a couple of runs maybe so obviously guys it looks really [ __ ] around here not nice at all it’s not quite tord is it it’s not tford so we’ve caught up with Mr Hayes Purple Haze and uh we’re probably not far off stage one I should imagine I can’t imagine it’s much further been a fairway already right stage one cracky what have we got in store Steep and routy straight away and Rocky wow that’s a wake up call it’s all right in it so far not scared yet if it rains it’s going to be interesting do you want to go ahead Kyle go on I don’t want to hold you up mate got yeah definitely don’t to try and keep up with him certainly Nery is it my arms going tingly pull over and let it settle hopefully me arm can goone Kyle can ho in it’s going totally numb it’s horrible and it’s nerve damage from doing my collarbone so bit of advice off Kyle go on some higher lines oh there goes my sunm guard Sun guard bust definitely need a better sump guard on this bike definitely fruity they were right about it being fruity wow arms come back to life again now just got to pray it doesn’t happen in my race run definitely about it line spotting is it yeah wow that woke me up a bit just got to relax AR you that’s relaxing look for the lines what do you think never anything well our uh fears about it being Trail Center have been put to bed I’m going to have quarter of a bar going we go on go on car right stage two cheers mate no idea what to expect that one certainly Wok me up a bit stage one being a bit nervy now right [Music] mate oh climb glad I’m on a new bike come on Kyle this bits easy right nice ly Loy l oh car with the lines there wao wow that’s cool definitely some effort going into these tracks I play this is a lot more my cup of two than the last one this is is going to be physical this one is it for the pedlers wow see we at car look race Pace it’s a whole all different ball [Applause] game wow what a stage yeah that’s good saying I feel sorry for them bits on the them on the pedal bits come back up it’s good fun go on them roders are you in red or purple purple go on then oh my God how’s it got noise nice dude nice that was cool really cool what a stage felt mint on that then felt faster than in a scram down there sure I was double your speed down there right onwards we’re now off to uh stage three buzzing after that one felt really good down there then what you eating Todd I’m talking the talk and how can people get a hold of those the link in the description race stage start front wheel level with sign [ __ ] yes yes oh todne with a line and another line nice oh I should have pulled a bit harder for that it’s actually quite grippy them rocks to be fair hard’s getting away whoa yeah they’re surprisingly grippy these rocks most of them I speak too soon w he’s going off at tripoding you got some great lines at the start wow that’s cool there certainly British and joro uh oh I can’t think of the words standard that’s it stop thinking try riding instead that’s better W nice this is like nothing I’ve ever ridden really oh that’s going to be horrible on the normal bikes lovely Corners wow thought so far Rodney um yeah good yeah [ __ ] guys all right how Neil so we’ve just had a bit of an interview by Jamie from Tweed love who I called Neil Neil’s the boss that’s very embarrassing sorry Jamie um and the worst thing is I know Jamie as well we yeah fantastic so far so across the road and then we’re back at the center all right chops all right right timing chip is on we need to do five a couple of times so that we can seeed why am I still holding my arm up here so I’m guessing I can’t really remember May 10 years ago but uh this is the trail Center I rode here to take us up to stage four top of stage four just ditched that plastic cover from there it broke and uh let’s have it thank you very much see you later wow she’s a Rocky one s’s on it tight to we you looking ahead then by mistake definitely Rocky think a straight line that a bit on that it’s physical is it o the line there wow it’s a super long stage my arm’s going fizzy come on home don’t let me down hang on Todd bollocks arm arms come back to life oh Jesus pretty gnarly some of this considering it’s like Trail Center wow trying to keep my head bit more upright see if that helps oh big drop Christ nice can’t believe how long it is we finished so is it carrying on Wow feel like we’re back in bloody France in Euro to definitely the locals have got a massive advantage on this one knowing that head up hey that’s going to be a long stage glad that’s not the seeding stage time for me Japs flap food at the bottom gels at the top that’s what you should always remember apparently thanks to MTB strength coach stage five this is the seeding one is this five or six stages five right sound been skitching thinking we got to do six we haven’t got time that’s better so let’s give it a go this is the one we want to get right oh you mate now this feels a bit more Trail centy don’t know why I said that with a high voice ooh that’d be fun in the rain wow that’s a bit tight right so that bit is in the full race yeah and then we got pause yeah and then there’s this bit where it continues but the next bit is where seeding starts oh wow right okay so that’s not in seeding complicated that was horrible that bit didn’t like that at all so stage five this is actually the seeding bit that we’re being timed on so this is the bit we need to get right and we are seeding on this in an hour and a half hour and 40 minutes go on then roders give it beans see you guys [ __ ] h getting straight over that or not looks a bituing janky over that I think we had the line there this way yeah on the right there dude now that’s a hard jump to clear oh wow that’s it what a weird stage the seed on it’s said finish finishes there the going down here oh right so that’s end of seeding but racing cracks on down here so this will just be seat up spin that was all right actually just going the knowing the lines you only really that one line up don’t come past dude yeah watch out roders sorry mate go try and catch him again Todd and that’s that that’s all of it done flavor is Forest fruits just to tell you we’re not getting paid by these so I’m not bigging it up just cuz we’re getting money I actually really like these are the best flavors right second go of five Rodney’s on it try and get the right line on that one Rocky bit now see a bit boys apart from that one line that wasn’t really worth doing was it you got it right there this time let going to have fun on the bottom bit yeah bro yeah bro rac’s food again 1 hour till so you then you’re excited yeah think you can do all right right so we’ve wasted a lot of time now it’s seeding it’s been pissing down but literally as we come out of the bu building the uh Sun’s come out so hopefully the track’s not too wet I think this could be famous last words but I think them rocks would be quite grippy in the wet go Rodney two onek you the line dude thank you 15 seconds 10 seconds you can’t five four three two one have a good one nice oh whack the me then and it went back in place brilliant did what it’s meant to do come on what come on h all right yeah right my arm started getting numb my hand I stood up straight and it start getting better so I think I’ve sused it I don’t think the motor did anything down there except for get you off the line you know what pretty good run happy with that Todd did catch one of them Lads then back at the digs Kyle who is pretty [ __ ] cuz I mean we’ve done I think 43k and 1200 M of climbing he’s probably done pretty similar cuz he repeated a couple of stages and uh bought on a regular bik so he’s gone to dip his legs in the Glenn and um he beat Todd by a second on what’s it no on the seeding uh they send you an email between 6:00 and 8 tonight to know where you are in your seeding so I will report back on [Music] that uh we’ just had the email through I was eighth um seeded ebike um but you can’t see your times against other people’s which is a bit weird and and Todd I think was second seeded E Bike and what were you Kyle it’s just just seed men 27th seated men which is really good considering New Year um but I don’t know my categories so we’ll see it’s up to it’s all up for grabs tomorrow this is the end of this Vlog click links in
