Police are hunting two men, after a have-a-go hero shop worker foiled machete wielding robbers by trapping them in his store.

    The shocking incident took place in the Smethwick area of Birmingham earlier this month, when a gang entered a convenience store and threatened staff with a large knife.

    Dramatic CCTV footage of the attempted robbery showed one of the masked men demanding money from the till while threatening to stab the shopkeeper.

    1. In the U.S. the shop keeper would likely take care of the situation right then and there. Notifying the police would be a formality to let them know there had been an unsuccessful robbery. As the old saying goes, never take a knife to a gunfight.

    2. Shocking how they didn't grab the Haribos and went straight for the gum. What a sugar rush!!! were they unhappy with the customer service?

    3. Birmingham is a social run down city managed by a lot of Arabs and Africans. The youth in England should be ashamed of themselves not working but causing more trouble to it's society. With machetes hanging around robbing hard working people. What gangsters do they claim to be? Gangsters don't fear anyone, so why are they covering their faces? Ridiculous!!!
