We headed to Mallory Park to see some of our supported riders and see how expensive it is to go racing.

Nearly every weekend in the UK, there will be a motorcycle race meeting being run by a small club or association. With very little fanfare or exposure, these club race meetings are often a breeding ground of talent that is set for world championship racing. But how expensive is it?

We meet Freddie, Drew and Wozza to see why they are taking on the UK club racing championships, what they are hoping to achieve in the 2024 season and how expensive it is to start racing at club level.

Freddy is racing to get well acquainted with his new ZX4RR before the British Superteen Championship starts. Using the the club meeting to gain time on the bike and tweak the set up, so that he is in the best position for when his main championship focus starts.

Drew, after years of racing and winning in British Super Moto championships, and a few years away from the racing scene, he is back with a budget GPZ550 and the aim of making it to the Classic TT. First of all, he needs to get some race finished to get rid of his newcomer bib and gain a national race license. With a full license and a bigger bike, his dream of racing round the TT circuit could very well become a realty.

Wozza has set his sight on one of the most competitive and cutthroat club racing championships there is with the Honda CB500 cup. It is also one of the most affordable forms of racing after the early stocks and it is amazing what performance can be got out of a 500cc commuter.

    1. Great vlog pal, real people just riding the nuts off their bikes.
Loving the mymoto crew. Mean green 86 GpZ550, brilliant….

    2. Thank you for the great episode. It’s good to see people out doing what they want and the tracks they can race and have fun at. I wish in California we had more tracks but unfortunately most have closed down so track days are far and few in between. Cheers from California!

    3. I had same plan to ride the Manx or classic tt" but there is an age limit restrictions for newcomers on IOM "
Age 45 for Manx and 40 for the tt! I was devastated to find that out and nolonger pursuit circuit racing ""
Switched to enduro as entry is fraction of the cost and more bike time.
      Regards
      Steve
