Try a place called Accrington. Proper dump. U can get a train from piccadilly takes about 40 minutes.. Deprived shithole. Middle of Burnley and Blackburn. Or try Blackpool down the back streets.

Can you take a look at Goole? Supposed to have some proper rough pubs, really bad reputation in East Riding but the crime rate isn't that bad, think it's mostly fighting
I remember a program about Jaywick im sure it was on channel 5 many years ago. Yes it looks rough but majority of UK looks rough around rhe edges but it always has the same sort of people friendly that make you feel welcome.
Haven’t seen the show but now that you’ve mentioned it, I do get a Fallout 3/ New Vegas vibe from Jaywick.

It is a Martinez Tower and there is a string of them all along the south coast to maybe portsmoufh? To keep Napoleon at bay. Many have been turned into homes – i know the one in Dymchurch, kent. Some just left like this one.

Used to spend half my summer hoildays in Jaywick, would of been about 50 yrs ago first time I visited , my Nan an Grandad bought a bungalow down there,
