With the motocross race of the year – VMXdN Foxhill only 20 weeks away things are starting to ramp up here at DocWob HQ.

We have a 2002 YZ 250 frame in the workshop, where we are doing some prep work ready to hand back to Paul Wright and Matt Coles to build for Mike Brown to race at VMXdN Foxhill – at least that’s one build I don’t have to worry about.

This episode’s ‘How 2’ is on linkage bearings, (you can find swing arm bearings and steering bearings in previous episodes). The Motion Pro tools are impressive and definitely take some blood, sweat and tears out the job. This is the way we do it here and was something I learned from a guy called Jim Lewis way back in 1986 when I was spanner for Merv Anstie and he was working for Dave Watson. It’s served us well for 38 years!

Sneak peek at Isak Gifting’s 2023 championship-winning GasGas bike ahead of it landing in our eBay Shop.

Also, we take a look at a set of Ohlins forks which are as rare as hens teeth that we are sorting for a trick 1993 White Chesterfield

And I talk through what we do ahead of lowering a subframe – just as Brownie likes it.

Thats all for this episode, next up we have a trick old HRC Honda and a brand new Gas Gas that we are measuring for titanium, trials is a whole different world!

Whilst you are surfing Youtube be sure to check out the Torq Moto Podcast Show with me, Jeffro and some very special guests!

Thanks for all the likes and subscribes.

You can find all our titanium parts and everything we make for the factory teams in our eBay store.

    1. This channel is great, the fabrication side of things, is amazing. Moving the subframe up or down and peg placement and all that stuff is so cool, u never hear anyone else talk about it. This is the real deal channel, what actually goes into building a winning machine. Doc wob and AJ Waggoner are the Ricky Carmichael and James Stewart of MX mechanics, hard to top them.

    2. A pleasure watching you work. I always learn something. This time it was Mike Brown likes to feel his ball bag on the rear of the seat on downhills. Who knows if that will come in handy but now I will carry that to the grave. Thanks WOB.
