In June I’m doing my first ever London to Brighton bike race. It’s 54 miles, I’m 63 and not very fit. It should be an interesting experience! I’m doing it in memory of my sister Janet who died vey unexpectedly in September 2022, and became an organ donor. There’s more about Janet and the reason I’m doing this in the video, and on the Just Giving page.
British Heart Foundation was the charity Janet and her husband Pete supported, so I’m honoured to be doing this. Many thanks for the donations so far, and thank you in advance for supporting me in this!
PS – if I get to £350, BHF will give me an official jersey to wear on the ride!

Well done, keep up the training. There are some particularly vicious hills on the London to Brighton route.
evening hill dam near killed me and that was when i could manage a mountain bike. good option to walk it.
