What is the difference between an audox and a cycling tour we have in the states. Really except for you i have never heard of an audox, we don't have them in the states.
You should volunteer or put on an event. Great fun and good to give something back.
Never done an audax but looks really good. Only been cycling two years and doing my 2nd London 100 in May. How do you follow the routes if you don’t have a garmin etc? Love the idea of these 👌(obvs love coffee and food!!!😂)
Have a awesome 11th year Katie

…and supporting small local businesses
All that are familiar to me, you are right , those are the best cafes in the area
Entirely agree about the fun of Audax's Katie. Scenery looks stunning on this one. I've cycled through Slaidburn on LEJOG and the video brought back some great memories
Love the garmin gilet where’s it from 😊
Looks like a blast, if there's ever one local to me I'd love a go 😊
Enjoyed that thanks. Your videos encouraged me to try my first audax rides, which I am enjoying. Id love to see you ride with someone on their first audax 🙂
Absolutely love an Audax – all ages there and all sorts of cakes too!
100% agree – they are great. I used to do quite a few and it's a fantastic way to explore new parts of the country. Start with a 50 or 100 to get used to the concept and see if you can handle the mild panic of finding info controls. LEL next year for the extra keen 😬
Doing a hilly 100k this coming Sunday in Wiltshire and a 200k the following week – these Audaxes are always wonderful routes and as you say no pretence x
I have just joined Audax UK and have my first event in August …really looking forward to what seems to be a lovely relaxed way of riding as you see the countryside
Been interested in Audax for years from watching your videos, finally bit the bullet and entered a couple end of last year – totally hooked!
Also 100% true what you say about the people, just a wonderfully sense of community. Especially when you're all comparing notes over a petrol station picnic or huddled up in s us shelter in the pouring rain 😂
Cyclists, "Drivers shouldn't use their phones when they're driving, it's against the law"
That dude's watch!⌚,,,it's huge! I haven't had a wrist watch since i got my first phone in the 90's.
It looked cold, eating beans on toast with your big gloves on. I would like to do an audax but maybe when the weather gets warmer. But fair play to you Katie.
1:20 THAT BLOKE MADE A NOISE HE WAS GOING THAT FAST LOOOOL
Great vid Katie reminds me to do more Audax 😊 ❤❤ I’d prob get the questions wrong 😢 Pete 🚴🏻👍
They exist all over the world. We have rides from 100 to 600 km in length here.
I did the York Arrow 400km last month and it was great, i love racing but just going round some random lanes you've never been to is just so much fun
This brings back so many memories, I used to live in Whalley, then later on in Grindleton
Great video. Love audaxes. Better clientele than the wannabee racers and wheelsuckers you get on sportives. I've a couple of 200k in the next 6 weeks, I cannot wait after watching this video! A big shoutout to all the audax organisers and helpers!
They are NOT cheap. Rather, they offer incredible value for money due to the fantastic effort of organisers and volunteers. Your choice of words does not do them justice.
Thanks for this video Katie … it gave me the pick me up I needed right now.
Was a pleasure riding with you Katie! Couldn't agree more; Audax events have a real humble and down to earth vibe that you can't quite get anywhere else. Hopefully catch you on the next one ✌🏻
Loved this Katie! Must admit I'm tempted. I'll look up Radonneuring Ontario again. Great to see such joy! Thank you!
So just to clarify Katie likes an Audax, certainly a very picturesque part of the country to ride through. Cafe stop = beans on toast.😋
I don’t wish to be a Debbie Downer or anything, but I would point out that there is 1 single Audax event in the entire South of England (south of London) according to the Audax website list of events…
Great video, Katie!!! 👏👏👏 I believe for us folks in the USA, the sister organization to Audax UK is Randonneurs USA.
Can’t agree more with everything you said. Love an Audax, my favourite rides. So many wonderful places to explore and the very best of routes.
Love Audax – I'm hoping to get into organising.
It’s almost May and y’all are still in winter kit!😂
I learned about audax/ randonneurring from you and did my first 101k populaire this weekend. Thank you for pointing me to this.
