    1. The easiest and safest bike path in Manhattan runs along the Hudson from the very bottom of the island all the way up to Dyckman, our northernmost crosstown street. You may choose to only go as far up as the George Washington Bridge and the iconic Little Red Lighthouse. Provided you stop at stoplights and watch out for other cyclists and pedestrians, you should be perfectly safe. No directions are needed, you just follow the path. 😊

    2. Fantastic video, wife and I did very much the same thing, but slower because every time we'd turn around there was something just so different we'd have to explore. Oh, and nice head of hair, back in the day 😀

    3. Watched so many bike messenger videos that would want to try that! Crazy stuff, but one on a bucket list! My brother is a NY fan.. and he stay on main island all the holidays when there. As I love the mountains of the Alps his thing is skycrapers. We humans want to get highrer..

Nice video to start sunny morning like Today. It’s still -1C, but gonna get warmer, up to 7C. Perhaps Winter is giving up.. no snowing Yesterday anymore.. 😆

    4. Films yeah. Like "Death Wish" with muggers on subways, and in Central Park, and not being armed due to gun law infringements of Constitutional rights, and the worst leftist government and the entire sewer of it all. One of the better films shot there was "The Gambler" with James Caan, and of course he gets beaten up and put in a closet for owning money to the mob, and forced to corrupt a college basketball player for fixing a game, followed by a nice trip into the black ghetto for no real reason at all. Not to mention lots of others involving underaged prostitutes, and pimps, or dope addiction, or sadistic dentists. The place has always seemed like a complete toilet to me. The worst place for the worst people and a great place to get ripped off or killed or corrupted in some way. At best a place to live like a hamster does.

    5. There is a nice event next weekend in NYC called Five Boro Bike Tour, It's the biggest charitable bike ride in the world, with over 32,000 participants riding through all five boroughs of the city: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island. The route is about 40 miles (64 km) Free of cars!

    6. You were in my backyard since I live in New York City, but it looks like it was filmed in somewhat warmer weather than what we have currently. I hope you got to taste some iconic New York Pizza while you were here.
You should have rented a bike and biked the loop inside Central Park. It's very easy to do and I think you would have enjoyed it. Or you could have taken a bike over to the West side Greenway which is along the Hudson River and that's a great route to do.

    7. Another great video especially as New York is my favourite destination. I was hoping to see you on a bike riding through the centre of New York, but it does look tricky and dangerous, so I don’t blame you for not. Ironically, the t-shirt you’re wearing at 11:54, I ordered recently.

    8. Live about 150 miles north of NYC. Make a point to do a day ride there every year. The Botanical Garden or Zoo in the Bronx is a great ride from the northern suburbs. The food scene in Manhattan is great. Biking in SoHo is fun.

    9. I love this so much!!! Haven’t been to NYC since ‘86 for my high school senior trip. Ran into Meryl Streep and her mom, pushing a stroller in Central Park. We also saw soap opera star Eric Braeden and TV star Raymond Burr (Ironside). It’s an amazing place.❤️

    10. It is fun to watch you visit NY. You just have a great way of looking at things. I’m not sure I would ride bike in NY myself. Always enjoy your videos.

Just realized that John Lennon was only 40 when he died. Wow he had already impacted us so much. Imagine if he had lived 40 more years. It just was wrong. I was 30 when it happened. I had just moved from Southern California to the Washington DC area. Was at work.

You did a lot and saw a lot. That was a lot of walking. You could have seen even more on a bicycle. We often do bicycle tours when we are in a big city. We have done Paris three times. We have done Barge and Bike Tours in Holland, Germany, France and Italy.

    11. Nice to see ya on this side of the pond Leo , i live only 2 states away in Pa🙂 One thing you can't escape even if you wanted to is a workout walking in NY , i wouldn't chance riding in new york , driving is brutal enough..lol 😄 how come you're only posting this video from aug 23' now ? Your wife Dye(?) seems very nice, glad we finally got to meet her!
